The orphanage I lived in before then was terrible to myself and my siblings and, although my new parents don’t mistreat me, this new home is still far from enjoyable. My clothes are half-torn, our food mostly comes from cans or boxes, one of my foster parents are hardly ever home, and it’s mostly myself and my brothers doing the work around the house while foster-mum is often drunk and passed-out on the sofa.\n\nI’m 11 years old now. I have two brothers around my same age and we all share the same bedroom. We get along well and often run around outside playing tag, hide and seek, or my favourite -- truth or dare. It’s fun getting to know them and the similar things we’ve all went through in the past and we will always be there for each-other -- at-least that’s what we say.\n\nI hate to admit it, but some nights, I like to steal some of foster-mum’s drinks from the cupboard and drink until I’m happy and feel all dizzy and light-headed. Sometimes, my brothers will even join in and we play fun games in our room before falling asleep. Once or twice, my brothers and I were extra silly from the drink and decided to play with each-other’s private parts. I don’t remember much of what we did, but I remember waking-up with that sticky stuff that comes out of boy-parts on my face. It was kinda cold by the time I woke-up and didn’t taste all that great, so I had to just wash it off in the shower.\n\nThose are fun times I have with my brothers, but I’m not always so cheerful like this. Sometimes, I drink too much of mum’s tispy-drink and get sad thoughts when my brothers are not around to enjoy it with me. I don’t know why, but I’ll take a knife from the kitchen and make cuts on my arm or hand -- for some reason, this relives some stress and reminds me that I still have feeling. I cover it with some tissue and tape and I don’t think my foster-parents even notice once it’s covered-up with a shirt.\n\nA-few times, my brothers asked me about it and I let them see what I did -- they had no words but to hug me and hold me close. It’s a-little hard to understand, but being held by someone you really like is more powerful than any words anyone else has said to me. They’ve told me the things they had to go through and I know I have it no worse than them, so I feel somewhat selfish that they have to show so much support for me.\n\nSome-days, when my brothers and I are playing around outside, our neighbour will come and offer to pay our youngest brother to do some work around his house -- but we both know what he wants from him. He’s always pretty sad and defensive when he returns, so we try to cheer him up with some more games. We’re usually pretty-good at making him happy again and he used to try to give us the money our neighbour gave him, but we decide to put it in a jar in our room instead -- our move-out bank for all of us when we finally get out of here.\n\nOver time, our bank would grow to hundreds of dollars from ‘house-work’ and chores we would do for our neighbours. Most of our neighbours were good people and had chores for us to do that wouldn’t make us all sad, sore, or with a yucky taste in our mouths when we were done. Most of it was cutting grass, cleaning dishes, or putting leaves in a pile before stuffing them in bags -- we were great at those chores and happy to be paid.\n\nLittle did we know, our foster-mum knew about our secret bank the entire time. One night, we caught her trying to sneak into our room only to take our jar of money from little-brother’s sock drawer. We tried to stop her but she just pushed us away and left the house. We cried the whole time she was gone before she came back with more bottles of grown-up drink -- wasting no time to open one.\n\nSoon after she passed-out and my brother’s and I were done crying, we grabbed one of the bottles and decided to drink a bunch from it. We did not have any fun this night though -- we mostly kept quiet while tears still leaked down our cheeks. We wonder if we’ll ever get out of here and be free from all of this. We pondered taking the remaining bottles and selling them to our neighbours, but foster-mum will just take that money too. We felt stuck, hopeless, powerless...\n\nAfter my two brothers fell asleep in their beds, I was still pretty dizzy and confused, so I went to the kitchen for some water. While there, I couldn’t help but ponder things in my head -- scenarios and options. I guess it was kind-of a snap-decision because the next thing I know, I’m going to the bathroom with a knife. I shut the door behind me and crawl into the bathtub with the knife pressed firmly against my throat -- I wonder how long it would be before my foster-parents even notice me here.\n\nBefore I could do anything, there was a light tapping on the bathroom door. I tell them to go away, and they’re quiet for a-little-bit but resume tapping on the door some more. A-few more times, I tell them to leave me alone while I think about things but they do not go away. I eventually give-in and drop the knife in the bathtub before going to open the door and opening it -- it’s some girl.\n\nMaybe two years younger then me, the girl stands there with a big smile on her face. She had a gummy-worm hanging from her lips as she chewed on it and held the other end between her fingers. To be honest, I thought she was a boy at first. She dressed like a boy, had short hair, and didn’t smell like that perfume stuff girls seem to like. What really caught me off-guard though was her big ruby-red eyes which seemed like they were glowing a-little. Too much of foster-mum’s drink will sometimes make me see things though. Once, little-brother swore that he saw another kid with bat wings watching us in our room but neither me or big-brother saw it.\n\nThis ruby-eyed girl took my hand and lead me back to the bedroom where she would help me into my bed. She helped me out of my clothes, except for my undies, and I was too dizzy and out-of-it to even care or notice half the time. She then pulled the covers over both of us before curling-up beside of me as I we shut our eyes for the night. It didn’t take long before I forgot why I had even went to the bathroom and fell asleep with the odd girl sharing my bed beside me.\n\nLittle-Brother\n\n\n\tIt was almost noon when I woke-up after such a long and weird night. My brothers had already gotten-up for breakfast and to probably relax somewhere outside -- we usually get headaches in the mornings after drinking that grown-up drink and don’t feel like playing. I stretch and yawn before sitting on the edge of my bed trying to wake-up a-little more. My eyes blink a-few times and I swallow with such a dry throat but, oddly, no headache.\n\nIn the corner of my eyes, I spot one of my brothers still sitting on his bed staring at me. I look up at him and give him a wave before rubbing my eyes and yawing again. Wait a-moment -- that wasn’t... I look across the room again and see some girl sitting on his bed staring at me -- it looked like that same girl from my dream. Short hair, boy clothes, those ruby-red eyes, and she sat there smiling at me with, yes, another gummy worm between her lips.\n\n“Good morning sleepy-head!” She said to me enthusiastically.\n\nI freeze a-moment while staring at her in disbelief before responding, “Who--who are you?”\n\nShe giggles, “Well, I guess I’m gunna kinda be your new sister now!”\n\nShe gets up from my brother’s bed and walks over to offer her hand. Hesitantly, I shake her hand as the excited girl resumes, “Hi there! You can call me Ruby. I’m ten years old, I’m a night-owl, I don’t like loud noises, and I love playing games!”\n\nA sigh escapes my breath as I stare down at her feet -- she didn’t seem to wear any socks or shoes. “You’re seem rather hyper too, it seems.” I look back up at her and ask, “Did you--did you sleep in my bed last night?”\n\nShe quickly nods and giggles, “Sure did! All the beds were taken, so your foster-mum said I could sleep in yours for the time-being.”\n\nNow squinting both confused and a-little annoyed, I get out of bed before realizing I’m still only in my underwear in-front of my little sis. My face quickly blushes but I try to play it cool as I walk over to my dresser and put on some clothes. I turn back around to see her still shamelessly standing by my bed and watching me with a smirk on her face which made me sigh again.\n\nAfter eyeing her in suspicion a-moment, I leave the room and head to the living-room where I unsurprisingly find my foster-mum passed-out on the sofa. I wanted to ask what’s going on so I poke her a-few times but she doesn’t wake-up. I poke harder.\n\n“Mum...” I ask. “Mum wake-up...”\nStill asleep, I jab her with my fist a-few times and ask a-bit louder, “Mum... Did you adopt again?”\n\nShe rolls over in the sofa to turn her back to me before the girl pokes my shoulder. I jump in surprise not realizing she had followed me here as she comments, “That won’t work. You’ll never wake her up.”\n\nLightly growling at the girl, I look down at her, (as she’s a-few inches shorter than me,) and snap at her, “Just who the hell are you? You were not here yesterday.”\n\nThe girl nods and smiles again with that gummy worm still hanging from her lips. “I told you -- I’m your new sister! I was here but you just didn’t notice me. I talked with your little brother some.”\n\nStill confused and angry, I scowl at the girl, “Oh, you two talked? Maybe I’ll go ask him then!”\n\nShe kept smiling and continued to follow me as I walked to the door, put my shoes on, and went outside to where my brothers and I would hangout after long nights. They weren’t at the usual spot, so I wandered over to the front yard -- but couldn’t see them anywhere. I call out for them with no response -- I guess they left somewhere without me.\n\nThe girl pokes my shoulder again which annoys me even more while she holds her gummy-worm and chews on it. “I think they’re over at the bad neighbours house.”\n\nI stare down at her ruby-red eyes which still seemed to glow a-little but it may have just been the sun as I calmed down some and sighed. “Well... I guess I’ll wait then.”\n\nShe shook her head, “You scared? You should go over there. Maybe it’s not too late to help your little brother?”\n\nGlaring at the girl, I felt like hitting her -- but she had a point. I’m tired of not doing anything while my little brother has to put-up with that jerk neighbour. It always puts him in a crummy mood and I’m his big brother -- I should be protecting him! So, instead of hitting her, I nod at the girl and make my way to the neighbour’s house.\n\nKnocking on the door, I wait for the bad neighbour to answer but he does not come to the door after waiting a minute. I knock a-few more times a-little louder before realizing -- he always keeps his door key behind the rock nearby. I search for it and, sure-enough, there was the key I was looking for -- so I slide it into the lock, turn, and open the door.\n\nI’ve never actually been inside his house before, so I don’t really know where to go. There were stairs going up on the left, the kitchen to the right, and what looked like the living-room down the hall. It actually looked really similar to our home -- except a-lot cleaner of-course. So, that means the bedrooms were upstairs -- maybe I’ll check there.\n\nOn my way up the stairs, I could hear that the bathroom shower was running. For whatever reason, I get some urge to open the bathroom door and check, The shower glass was pretty foggy, but the figure behind it was about the size of my brother -- I guess he wanted to take a shower while over here. I don’t blame him since the bathtub at our place is pretty gross-looking.\n\nLetting my brother shower, I go looking for our bigger-brother which leads me to the bad neighbour’s bedroom. Brother wasn’t there but the neighbour was sitting at a desk in-front of a computer. I knock on the open door trying to get his attention but he seems fixated on the computer so I just walk up behind him and have a peek at whatever he’s doing. What I saw quickly made me feel ill. My heart started pounding, my head felt like it was spinning, my body started to tremble -- it was little-brother on his computer.\n\nI felt fear, I felt anger, but most of all, I felt like hurting this person for the things he was doing to little-brother on that screen. My shoulder is tapped as I look over at the girl holding up a knife, as-if she was offering to me. It wasn’t a normal looking knife -- it was all black, sharp on both sides, the handle was some kinda fabric, and it didn’t seem to reflect any light.\n\nWith little thought, I take the knife from the girl and jab it into the bad neighbour’s back over and over again. He grabs his chest and growls in pain while I step back and watch him fall to the ground, curling-up into a ball while still holding his chest before he eventually stops making any noise. I get out of there quickly to avoid seeing any blood, hand the black knife back to the girl, (who’s still following me around for some reason,) and go to wait by the bathroom door.\n\nThere was a sharp, throbbing pain in my chest as I stood there -- which seemed to have started right after the bad neighbour fell to the ground. It grew stronger and made me clench my teeth and growl in agony before it eventually started to fade away. The girl held my hand as-if to comfort me and I did not push her away. Perhaps she could be my little-sister after-all.\n\nLittle-brother didn’t take too much longer in the shower before he gets out and dries himself off. I turn around to give him some privacy while he dresses but, instead of saying ‘hi’ and wondering why I’m here, he just walks past me. I don’t blame him for not wanting to talk -- I’ll give him a-lot of hugs when we get home.\n\nHe shouts to the bad neighbour while going down the stairs, “I’m going home now!”\n\nObviously, he didn’t get any response. He took the money by the door, (I guess that was his ‘payment’,) while I followed him out from bad neighbour’s house and back to the moderate comfort of our own home. We went to the back-yard, still not saying a word to one-another, and sat next to each-other in our little comfort-fort. I wrap my arms around him and comfort. I could feel him start to relax and sigh over my shoulder as he began to cry.\n\nWe stayed like this in each-other’s arms for what felt like an hour before just sitting next to each-other for hours more. I tried to talk to him but he still didn’t feel like saying anything, it seems. The bad neighbour will not hurt him any-longer.\n\nRotten\n\n\n\tTossing and turning in bed, it would take what felt like hours before I could finally get some sleep. It would be a strange night though, as I woke-up in the middle of it to an odd feeling that I’ve never felt before. Was I awake -- or was I still asleep? My vision was kind-of blurry, but there was some winged human-like creature bouncing on my lap. The blankets were pulled down and I must be imagining things because it felt like my private parts were inside of this odd being.\n\nIt’s wings would flap every now-and-then as what felt like a smooth tail would slide over my chest. Were those little horns coming out of it’s head? It’s pointy ears would perk out and curl as the creature smiled down at me with sharp, pointed teeth. It continued to bounce up and down on my lap and I lie there in bed with my boy-parts stiff inside it’s tight and warm backside. \n\nThis would go-on for a-while before I felt my body begin to tense. A warm tingling feeling would travel from my boy-parts to the rest of my body before my penis started to twitch inside of the winged-being’s backside and spurt-out that sticky warm milk inside of it. My vision gradually faded after that and I fell back asleep, (or to the next part of that dream,) but I remember one thing that will not escape from me -- its glowing ruby-red eyes.\n\nThe next morning was the same as the previous -- my brothers were already gone and my new sister was sitting in a bed across the room with a smile on her face and gummy-worm held between her lips being chewed-on. I yawn and stretch before slowly getting out of bed and making my way to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. The water was too cold though! No matter how hot I tried to make it, the water still felt too cold on my skin; so, I just gave-up, had a pee, and brushed my teeth instead.\n\nIt looks like foster-mum was passed-out on the sofa again -- what a surprise. I head to the kitchen for some breakfast but I wasn’t actually hungry for anything, which was odd. Surely, I’d be hungry after the long day yesterday, but I guess not. Little-sis was standing next to me with her typical smile and -- her ruby-red eyes. It couldn’t have been her, in my dream, right? The thing in my dream had wings and horns and a tail, I think -- not at-all like my little-sister.\n\n“Can we go for a walk today?” She asks.\n\nI remain fixated on her eyes, but I nod to her, “Yeah. Where to?”\n\nHer smile grows in excitement and giggles with her eyes closed. “There’s this scary old abandoned house I wanna show you -- it’s really cool!”\n\nThe enthusiasm in her face and the way she bounced a-little just made me smile with her. There was something about her that I felt connected to -- like she was a part of me in some way, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. It was still kind-of odd that she dressed like a boy but maybe foster-mum didn’t have any girl clothes for her to wear. Whatever the reason, I’m starting to really like my new sister -- even if her eyes kinda creep-me-out.\n\n“Do you wanna go now?” I ask.\n\nShe nods and holds out her hand for me, “Yes, please! Unless you have other stuff to do.”\n\nPondering a moment, I couldn’t think of anything I needed to do so I shake my head, “Naw. Let’s go see this scary house!”\n\nI take my sister’s hand and walk with her from our house -- feeling just a-little-bit better every time I leave that place. With a slight view of the back-yard, I could see my brothers on the swings but they probably don’t see us leaving -- we’ll be back to play with them in a-couple hours or so. Little-sister leads me down the street with her hand holding mine the entire time.\n\nThe sun outside was kind-of weird today -- as-in I couldn’t see where it was. It’s not like it was super cloudy or anything and it was still bright enough out to see where we were going, but there didn’t appear to be any sun or shadows. There were a-lot less cars on the street too but that didn’t bother me -- less cars means more road for us to play on.\n\nLooking down at the short girl, I ask, “How far-away is this place?”\n\nWith her focus still fixed in-front of her, she skipped a-little and squeezed my hand. “Oh, like a dozen more blocks from here! That’s okay, right?”\n\nWish I had known it was that far before we started, but I guess we’re already on our way there so there’s no point in turning back now. Besides, I really do want to see this abandoned house -- I kinda like scary things! I’ve never really been that far away from home before either, I don’t think. It’s kind-of like an adventure we’re on and I get to play with my new sister!\n\nWe eventually get to the old house that’s clearly falling apart. Part of the roof is missing, the grass is tall like a forest, the paint on the walls and fence is half gone and rotted away -- it’s awesome! With all the broken windows, rotted wood, and fallen shingles, I’m pretty-surprised this place is still standing. It should make for a good spooky place to play in though, I think -- as long as there aren’t too many spiders.\n\nLittle-sis and I open the creaky gate and follow the scattered stone path to the unlocked door that we just push open. Immediately, we’re greeted with the stench of mould and what I can only assume is skunk. It makes me wrinkle my nose and squint my eyes but little-sis doesn’t seem too bothered by it for whatever reason. She smiles up at me and tugs on my hand as she starts leading me through the house with excitement.\n\nThe kitchen was horrible -- some rotting food, cupboard doors fallen off their hinges, cobwebs everywhere, and mushrooms growing the the corner. Things got better after that though. We went to the living room next where there was a sofa all torn-up, stinky and damp, with a blanket and some burnt-out candles next to it. She tried to show me the bathroom but, no, I could see it well-enough from the outside!\n\nNext, we head up the stairs to where some other rooms were -- the smell of skunk grew the further we climbed which put me off a-little. There was also some giggling in one of the rooms -- I guess others have also decided to be adventurers of the scary house! We could hear them saying weird things like they were calling for someone or trying to summon a ghost? Grown-ups are weird.\n\nWe decide to stand outside the room and watch the two boys and one girl while they had their fun. One was holding a book and there was a dead animal on the floor with some markings drawn around it -- poor thing. Little-sis squeezes my hand and I look down at her to see that she seems upset. To be honest, the dead animal kind-of makes me upset too.\n\nI hold little-sister’s hand tight and ask, “What’s wrong?”\n\nShe wipes her nose, sniffles, and replies, “I know them.”\n\n“You do?”\n\nShe nods and swallows as she keeps her focus on the three, “They were my big brothers and sister once. They were really mean to me.”\n\n“They were mean to you?” I ask. “What did they do?”\n\nShe sniffles again and wipes some tears from her eyes. ”...what bad neighbour did to your little brother, and... their friends would beat me up.”\n\nI sigh with her hand still in mine. I was at a loss of words and a burning sensation grew inside of me as my entire body felt warmer. The candles in the room would blow out from a short gust of wind which seemed to make the three nervous. They would flick on a flash-light like they couldn’t see even though the room seemed to be bright enough for us.\n\nLooking back down at my sis, I ask her, “Do you still have that knife?”\n\nShe nods up at me and takes-out that black knife from inside her shirt before handing it to me. Holding the knife firmly, I stare at the mean grown-ups who must be blind or something to not have noticed us at the door watching them. After a-moment of thought, I let go of my sister’s hand and sprint forward to immediately lunge the blade into one of them. The other two seem stunned by the sunned shriek of their brother before I quickly move to the other and jump-up to thrust the blade into his throat. He grabs his throat as-if he was choking and falls to his knees.\n\nI turn the the last one, but little-sis already seems to be on her once-older-sister. There was rage in her eyes that were glowing a bright red as she thrusts her knife into them repeatedly -- it was actually kind-of scary seeing her like this. Tears run down her cheeks as she screamed and thrusts a-few more times before pushing herself off of the body and runs out of the room. I follow her down the stairs and outside to the yard where she quickly jumps into my arms to wrap herself around me.\n\nI try to comfort her and hold her close, “It’s alright, sis. They deserved it.”\n\nShe nods into my chest still crying a-bit and sniffling, “They did. They are meanies.”\n\nAs-if nothing has happened a-moment later, she hops off of me and pops a gummy-worm back between her lips before taking my hand again and staring up at me with a big smile on her face. I’ve never noticed it before, but with her smile finally showing her teeth, I could see they were not normal -- they were all sharp and pointy.\n\nHer ruby-red eyes would penetrate into mine as I felt my chest begin to hurt again. It was burning this time as it throbbed with every beat of my heart -- making me grab my chest in a vain attempt to feel better. It was worse than before and made me fall to my knees and cry out in agony. Little-sister did not come to my aid though -- she just stood in-front of me and watch with that big toothy smile on her face. This was too much for me to handle. My vision goes blurry and fades to nothingness.\n\nRebirth\n\n\n\tLaying on my bed, I awake to a familiar feeling. My body ached all over, my head was throbbing, and my back felt like it was cut into pieces -- but all of that paled to the warm sensation I felt down below. Struggling to push myself up enough to look down in my weakened state, I see that winged creature from my dreams with it’s lips around my privates. I fall back down to lay on my bed, unable to move as the strange creature held the base of my boy-parts while sliding it’s soft and warm lips up and down the length of it.\n\nTrying to get another look down at the young human-like creature, I could see it’s wings extended from it’s back and a pointed tail swaying in the air. Small horns extended for it’s forehead and I could feel sharp pointed teeth lightly brushing along my sensitive boy-parts as it’s lips would make subtle slurpy noises around my swollen boyhood. It felt amazing how warm it’s mouth was while it’s soft and suctioned lips would slide along my sensitive bits making it twitch.\n\nSoft moans escape my breath as I pant and grip my hands into the bed sheets. I could feel my boy-parts further swell inside the creature’s mouth as it’s sharp teeth would continue to gently graze over it’s sensitive length while the soft lips would follow up and down in quiet slurps. My body tensed, my hips push upwards, and my swollen member began to throb and twitch as it spurts it’s warm boy-milk into the creatures eager mouth.\n\nA-few more spurts of warm liquid escape my throbbing little member as the warm and tingling feeling gradually fade from me. The creature seemed to seal it’s lips as they slowly slid up my length to the tip to end with a slurpy noise and a giggle. I felt better. My body no-longer ached and I was no longer too weak to move. Still panting, I catch my breath before eventually pushing myself up to sit on the edge of the bed.\n\nThe winged creature was still here this time. They did not vanish like the end of my dream and I could see them perfectly as they wipe their lips and look up at me with it’s glowing ruby-red eyes. It couldn’t be -- I recognize this face. This was my sister; but, she had wings, a tail, and little horns now. She stared into my eyes with a big smile as she swallowed my boy-milk in one gulp which made me rather blush.\n\n“Little-sis...” I softly whisper to her. “You’re different.”\n\nHer wings stretched-out a moment as she stood-up and nodded after putting a gummy-worm back between her lips. “This is how I always looked. You needed time to adjust.”\n\nConfused, I ask, “Adjust... To you?”\n\nShe giggles and give a toothy grin as she holds out her hands for me to take. “Yep! But also...”\n\nTaking her hands in mine, I stand up from bed still naked along-side my winged-sister as she lead me to the mirror in our bedroom. As she lead me closer to my reflection, I could see more of what she meant -- I seemed to have changed. The wings, the tail, the little horns and pointy ears -- even the sharp little teeth as I leaned into the mirror with my mouth open to get a better look. I looked back to make sure it wasn’t a trick while I brush my hand along one wing and then the other before inspecting my new tail -- they all seemed so real.\n\nStill examining myself, I ask her in a frightened and trembly, “What is all of this?”\n\nShe stands next to me in the mirror in a warm hug. “Haven’t you figured it out yet? Why nobody has noticed you?”\n\nI shake my head and look at us in the mirror. “No...”\n\nShe giggles and gives me a squeeze. “You’re dead, silly! And now you’re an imp like me.”\n\nPushing her away and escaping the reflection from the mirror, I scowl at her, “What do you mean, ‘dead’? I never died!”\n\nShe chews on her gummy worm and nods at me with a slightly saddened face. “I felt the same way at first, too. It’s a-lot to take-in, I guess. But that night, in the bathtub -- you did not leave from there.”\n\nFeeling a-little dizzy, I sit down on the carpet to think. Little-sis sits next and leans against me with her head on my shoulder while chewing on her gummy-worm some more. I rest my arm around her back and hold her side while still struggling to grasp all of this. Am I really dead? Will I ever be-able to spend time with my brothers again? This is all just too surreal for me to handle...\n\nMy two brothers had returned to the room while little-sis and I sat with each-other. They had a bottle of foster-mum’s drink that they had opened and started to takes big sips from. They sat there laughing, drinking, and crying while I watched. Little-sis was right -- they didn’t even know I was here with them. I wanted to join them so badly... I wanted to laugh and play with them forever and to be there for them when they need me.\n\nEventually, big-brother crawled into his bed and went to sleep while little-brother just sat on the edge of his bed. He reached under the mattress to pull-out a knife from the kitchen and stared at it for the longest time. I tried to take it from him but my hands would just pass right through him as he had no idea that I was trying to help -- wishing he would just lay down and go-to sleep.\n\nLittle-brother stood from his bed, staggering a-bit as mum’s drink still had a strong affect on him. Still holding the knife, I watched as he left the room and entered the bathroom to close the door behind him. Little-sis gave me a close hug before she followed after him, turning back to me with sadness in her eyes.\n\n“I have more work to do, my friend.” She said to me as she entered the bathroom with my little-brother.",

The orphanage I lived in before then was terrible to myself and my siblings and, although my new parents don&rsquo;t mistreat me, this new home is still far from enjoyable. My clothes are half-torn, our food mostly comes from cans or boxes, one of my foster parents are hardly ever home, and it&rsquo;s mostly myself and my brothers doing the work around the house while foster-mum is often drunk and passed-out on the sofa.<br /><br />I&rsquo;m 11 years old now. I have two brothers around my same age and we all share the same bedroom. We get along well and often run around outside playing tag, hide and seek, or my favourite -- truth or dare. It&rsquo;s fun getting to know them and the similar things we&rsquo;ve all went through in the past and we will always be there for each-other -- at-least that&rsquo;s what we say.<br /><br />I hate to admit it, but some nights, I like to steal some of foster-mum&rsquo;s drinks from the cupboard and drink until I&rsquo;m happy and feel all dizzy and light-headed. Sometimes, my brothers will even join in and we play fun games in our room before falling asleep. Once or twice, my brothers and I were extra silly from the drink and decided to play with each-other&rsquo;s private parts. I don&rsquo;t remember much of what we did, but I remember waking-up with that sticky stuff that comes out of boy-parts on my face. It was kinda cold by the time I woke-up and didn&rsquo;t taste all that great, so I had to just wash it off in the shower.<br /><br />Those are fun times I have with my brothers, but I&rsquo;m not always so cheerful like this. Sometimes, I drink too much of mum&rsquo;s tispy-drink and get sad thoughts when my brothers are not around to enjoy it with me. I don&rsquo;t know why, but I&rsquo;ll take a knife from the kitchen and make cuts on my arm or hand -- for some reason, this relives some stress and reminds me that I still have feeling. I cover it with some tissue and tape and I don&rsquo;t think my foster-parents even notice once it&rsquo;s covered-up with a shirt.<br /><br />A-few times, my brothers asked me about it and I let them see what I did -- they had no words but to hug me and hold me close. It&rsquo;s a-little hard to understand, but being held by someone you really like is more powerful than any words anyone else has said to me. They&rsquo;ve told me the things they had to go through and I know I have it no worse than them, so I feel somewhat selfish that they have to show so much support for me.<br /><br />Some-days, when my brothers and I are playing around outside, our neighbour will come and offer to pay our youngest brother to do some work around his house -- but we both know what he wants from him. He&rsquo;s always pretty sad and defensive when he returns, so we try to cheer him up with some more games. We&rsquo;re usually pretty-good at making him happy again and he used to try to give us the money our neighbour gave him, but we decide to put it in a jar in our room instead -- our move-out bank for all of us when we finally get out of here.<br /><br />Over time, our bank would grow to hundreds of dollars from &lsquo;house-work&rsquo; and chores we would do for our neighbours. Most of our neighbours were good people and had chores for us to do that wouldn&rsquo;t make us all sad, sore, or with a yucky taste in our mouths when we were done. Most of it was cutting grass, cleaning dishes, or putting leaves in a pile before stuffing them in bags -- we were great at those chores and happy to be paid.<br /><br />Little did we know, our foster-mum knew about our secret bank the entire time. One night, we caught her trying to sneak into our room only to take our jar of money from little-brother&rsquo;s sock drawer. We tried to stop her but she just pushed us away and left the house. We cried the whole time she was gone before she came back with more bottles of grown-up drink -- wasting no time to open one.<br /><br />Soon after she passed-out and my brother&rsquo;s and I were done crying, we grabbed one of the bottles and decided to drink a bunch from it. We did not have any fun this night though -- we mostly kept quiet while tears still leaked down our cheeks. We wonder if we&rsquo;ll ever get out of here and be free from all of this. We pondered taking the remaining bottles and selling them to our neighbours, but foster-mum will just take that money too. We felt stuck, hopeless, powerless...<br /><br />After my two brothers fell asleep in their beds, I was still pretty dizzy and confused, so I went to the kitchen for some water. While there, I couldn&rsquo;t help but ponder things in my head -- scenarios and options. I guess it was kind-of a snap-decision because the next thing I know, I&rsquo;m going to the bathroom with a knife. I shut the door behind me and crawl into the bathtub with the knife pressed firmly against my throat -- I wonder how long it would be before my foster-parents even notice me here.<br /><br />Before I could do anything, there was a light tapping on the bathroom door. I tell them to go away, and they&rsquo;re quiet for a-little-bit but resume tapping on the door some more. A-few more times, I tell them to leave me alone while I think about things but they do not go away. I eventually give-in and drop the knife in the bathtub before going to open the door and opening it -- it&rsquo;s some girl.<br /><br />Maybe two years younger then me, the girl stands there with a big smile on her face. She had a gummy-worm hanging from her lips as she chewed on it and held the other end between her fingers. To be honest, I thought she was a boy at first. She dressed like a boy, had short hair, and didn&rsquo;t smell like that perfume stuff girls seem to like. What really caught me off-guard though was her big ruby-red eyes which seemed like they were glowing a-little. Too much of foster-mum&rsquo;s drink will sometimes make me see things though. Once, little-brother swore that he saw another kid with bat wings watching us in our room but neither me or big-brother saw it.<br /><br />This ruby-eyed girl took my hand and lead me back to the bedroom where she would help me into my bed. She helped me out of my clothes, except for my undies, and I was too dizzy and out-of-it to even care or notice half the time. She then pulled the covers over both of us before curling-up beside of me as I we shut our eyes for the night. It didn&rsquo;t take long before I forgot why I had even went to the bathroom and fell asleep with the odd girl sharing my bed beside me.<br /><br />Little-Brother<br /><br /><br />\tIt was almost noon when I woke-up after such a long and weird night. My brothers had already gotten-up for breakfast and to probably relax somewhere outside -- we usually get headaches in the mornings after drinking that grown-up drink and don&rsquo;t feel like playing. I stretch and yawn before sitting on the edge of my bed trying to wake-up a-little more. My eyes blink a-few times and I swallow with such a dry throat but, oddly, no headache.<br /><br />In the corner of my eyes, I spot one of my brothers still sitting on his bed staring at me. I look up at him and give him a wave before rubbing my eyes and yawing again. Wait a-moment -- that wasn&rsquo;t... I look across the room again and see some girl sitting on his bed staring at me -- it looked like that same girl from my dream. Short hair, boy clothes, those ruby-red eyes, and she sat there smiling at me with, yes, another gummy worm between her lips.<br /><br />&ldquo;Good morning sleepy-head!&rdquo; She said to me enthusiastically.<br /><br />I freeze a-moment while staring at her in disbelief before responding, &ldquo;Who--who are you?&rdquo;<br /><br />She giggles, &ldquo;Well, I guess I&rsquo;m gunna kinda be your new sister now!&rdquo;<br /><br />She gets up from my brother&rsquo;s bed and walks over to offer her hand. Hesitantly, I shake her hand as the excited girl resumes, &ldquo;Hi there! You can call me Ruby. I&rsquo;m ten years old, I&rsquo;m a night-owl, I don&rsquo;t like loud noises, and I love playing games!&rdquo;<br /><br />A sigh escapes my breath as I stare down at her feet -- she didn&rsquo;t seem to wear any socks or shoes. &ldquo; You&rsquo;re seem rather hyper too, it seems.&rdquo; I look back up at her and ask, &ldquo;Did you--did you sleep in my bed last night?&rdquo;<br /><br />She quickly nods and giggles, &ldquo;Sure did! All the beds were taken, so your foster-mum said I could sleep in yours for the time-being.&rdquo;<br /><br />Now squinting both confused and a-little annoyed, I get out of bed before realizing I&rsquo;m still only in my underwear in-front of my little sis. My face quickly blushes but I try to play it cool as I walk over to my dresser and put on some clothes. I turn back around to see her still shamelessly standing by my bed and watching me with a smirk on her face which made me sigh again.<br /><br />After eyeing her in suspicion a-moment, I leave the room and head to the living-room where I unsurprisingly find my foster-mum passed-out on the sofa. I wanted to ask what&rsquo;s going on so I poke her a-few times but she doesn&rsquo;t wake-up. I poke harder.<br /><br />&ldquo;Mum...&rdquo; I ask. &ldquo;Mum wake-up...&rdquo;<br />Still asleep, I jab her with my fist a-few times and ask a-bit louder, &ldquo;Mum... Did you adopt again?&rdquo;<br /><br />She rolls over in the sofa to turn her back to me before the girl pokes my shoulder. I jump in surprise not realizing she had followed me here as she comments, &ldquo; That won&rsquo;t work. You&rsquo;ll never wake her up.&rdquo;<br /><br />Lightly growling at the girl, I look down at her, (as she&rsquo;s a-few inches shorter than me,) and snap at her, &ldquo;Just who the hell are you? You were not here yesterday.&rdquo;<br /><br />The girl nods and smiles again with that gummy worm still hanging from her lips. &ldquo;I told you -- I&rsquo;m your new sister! I was here but you just didn&rsquo;t notice me. I talked with your little brother some.&rdquo;<br /><br />Still confused and angry, I scowl at the girl, &ldquo;Oh, you two talked? Maybe I&rsquo;ll go ask him then!&rdquo;<br /><br />She kept smiling and continued to follow me as I walked to the door, put my shoes on, and went outside to where my brothers and I would hangout after long nights. They weren&rsquo;t at the usual spot, so I wandered over to the front yard -- but couldn&rsquo;t see them anywhere. I call out for them with no response -- I guess they left somewhere without me.<br /><br />The girl pokes my shoulder again which annoys me even more while she holds her gummy-worm and chews on it. &ldquo;I think they&rsquo;re over at the bad neighbours house.&rdquo;<br /><br />I stare down at her ruby-red eyes which still seemed to glow a-little but it may have just been the sun as I calmed down some and sighed. &ldquo;Well... I guess I&rsquo;ll wait then.&rdquo;<br /><br />She shook her head, &ldquo; You scared? You should go over there. Maybe it&rsquo;s not too late to help your little brother?&rdquo;<br /><br />Glaring at the girl, I felt like hitting her -- but she had a point. I&rsquo;m tired of not doing anything while my little brother has to put-up with that jerk neighbour. It always puts him in a crummy mood and I&rsquo;m his big brother -- I should be protecting him! So, instead of hitting her, I nod at the girl and make my way to the neighbour&rsquo;s house.<br /><br />Knocking on the door, I wait for the bad neighbour to answer but he does not come to the door after waiting a minute. I knock a-few more times a-little louder before realizing -- he always keeps his door key behind the rock nearby. I search for it and, sure-enough, there was the key I was looking for -- so I slide it into the lock, turn, and open the door.<br /><br />I&rsquo;ve never actually been inside his house before, so I don&rsquo;t really know where to go. There were stairs going up on the left, the kitchen to the right, and what looked like the living-room down the hall. It actually looked really similar to our home -- except a-lot cleaner of-course. So, that means the bedrooms were upstairs -- maybe I&rsquo;ll check there.<br /><br />On my way up the stairs, I could hear that the bathroom shower was running. For whatever reason, I get some urge to open the bathroom door and check, The shower glass was pretty foggy, but the figure behind it was about the size of my brother -- I guess he wanted to take a shower while over here. I don&rsquo;t blame him since the bathtub at our place is pretty gross-looking.<br /><br />Letting my brother shower, I go looking for our bigger-brother which leads me to the bad neighbour&rsquo;s bedroom. Brother wasn&rsquo;t there but the neighbour was sitting at a desk in-front of a computer. I knock on the open door trying to get his attention but he seems fixated on the computer so I just walk up behind him and have a peek at whatever he&rsquo;s doing. What I saw quickly made me feel ill. My heart started pounding, my head felt like it was spinning, my body started to tremble -- it was little-brother on his computer.<br /><br />I felt fear, I felt anger, but most of all, I felt like hurting this person for the things he was doing to little-brother on that screen. My shoulder is tapped as I look over at the girl holding up a knife, as-if she was offering to me. It wasn&rsquo;t a normal looking knife -- it was all black, sharp on both sides, the handle was some kinda fabric, and it didn&rsquo;t seem to reflect any light.<br /><br />With little thought, I take the knife from the girl and jab it into the bad neighbour&rsquo;s back over and over again. He grabs his chest and growls in pain while I step back and watch him fall to the ground, curling-up into a ball while still holding his chest before he eventually stops making any noise. I get out of there quickly to avoid seeing any blood, hand the black knife back to the girl, (who&rsquo;s still following me around for some reason,) and go to wait by the bathroom door.<br /><br />There was a sharp, throbbing pain in my chest as I stood there -- which seemed to have started right after the bad neighbour fell to the ground. It grew stronger and made me clench my teeth and growl in agony before it eventually started to fade away. The girl held my hand as-if to comfort me and I did not push her away. Perhaps she could be my little-sister after-all.<br /><br />Little-brother didn&rsquo;t take too much longer in the shower before he gets out and dries himself off. I turn around to give him some privacy while he dresses but, instead of saying &lsquo;hi&rsquo; and wondering why I&rsquo;m here, he just walks past me. I don&rsquo;t blame him for not wanting to talk -- I&rsquo;ll give him a-lot of hugs when we get home.<br /><br />He shouts to the bad neighbour while going down the stairs, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m going home now!&rdquo;<br /><br />Obviously, he didn&rsquo;t get any response. He took the money by the door, (I guess that was his &lsquo;payment&rsquo;,) while I followed him out from bad neighbour&rsquo;s house and back to the moderate comfort of our own home. We went to the back-yard, still not saying a word to one-another, and sat next to each-other in our little comfort-fort. I wrap my arms around him and comfort. I could feel him start to relax and sigh over my shoulder as he began to cry.<br /><br />We stayed like this in each-other&rsquo;s arms for what felt like an hour before just sitting next to each-other for hours more. I tried to talk to him but he still didn&rsquo;t feel like saying anything, it seems. The bad neighbour will not hurt him any-longer.<br /><br />Rotten<br /><br /><br />\tTossing and turning in bed, it would take what felt like hours before I could finally get some sleep. It would be a strange night though, as I woke-up in the middle of it to an odd feeling that I&rsquo;ve never felt before. Was I awake -- or was I still asleep? My vision was kind-of blurry, but there was some winged human-like creature bouncing on my lap. The blankets were pulled down and I must be imagining things because it felt like my private parts were inside of this odd being.<br /><br />It&rsquo;s wings would flap every now-and-then as what felt like a smooth tail would slide over my chest. Were those little horns coming out of it&rsquo;s head? It&rsquo;s pointy ears would perk out and curl as the creature smiled down at me with sharp, pointed teeth. It continued to bounce up and down on my lap and I lie there in bed with my boy-parts stiff inside it&rsquo;s tight and warm backside. <br /><br />This would go-on for a-while before I felt my body begin to tense. A warm tingling feeling would travel from my boy-parts to the rest of my body before my penis started to twitch inside of the winged-being&rsquo;s backside and spurt-out that sticky warm milk inside of it. My vision gradually faded after that and I fell back asleep, (or to the next part of that dream,) but I remember one thing that will not escape from me -- its glowing ruby-red eyes.<br /><br />The next morning was the same as the previous -- my brothers were already gone and my new sister was sitting in a bed across the room with a smile on her face and gummy-worm held between her lips being chewed-on. I yawn and stretch before slowly getting out of bed and making my way to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. The water was too cold though! No matter how hot I tried to make it, the water still felt too cold on my skin; so, I just gave-up, had a pee, and brushed my teeth instead.<br /><br />It looks like foster-mum was passed-out on the sofa again -- what a surprise. I head to the kitchen for some breakfast but I wasn&rsquo;t actually hungry for anything, which was odd. Surely, I&rsquo;d be hungry after the long day yesterday, but I guess not. Little-sis was standing next to me with her typical smile and -- her ruby-red eyes. It couldn&rsquo;t have been her, in my dream, right? The thing in my dream had wings and horns and a tail, I think -- not at-all like my little-sister.<br /><br />&ldquo;Can we go for a walk today?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />I remain fixated on her eyes, but I nod to her, &ldquo;Yeah. Where to?&rdquo;<br /><br />Her smile grows in excitement and giggles with her eyes closed. &ldquo; There&rsquo;s this scary old abandoned house I wanna show you -- it&rsquo;s really cool!&rdquo;<br /><br />The enthusiasm in her face and the way she bounced a-little just made me smile with her. There was something about her that I felt connected to -- like she was a part of me in some way, but I couldn&rsquo;t put my finger on it. It was still kind-of odd that she dressed like a boy but maybe foster-mum didn&rsquo;t have any girl clothes for her to wear. Whatever the reason, I&rsquo;m starting to really like my new sister -- even if her eyes kinda creep-me-out.<br /><br />&ldquo;Do you wanna go now?&rdquo; I ask.<br /><br />She nods and holds out her hand for me, &ldquo;Yes, please! Unless you have other stuff to do.&rdquo;<br /><br />Pondering a moment, I couldn&rsquo;t think of anything I needed to do so I shake my head, &ldquo;Naw. Let&rsquo;s go see this scary house!&rdquo;<br /><br />I take my sister&rsquo;s hand and walk with her from our house -- feeling just a-little-bit better every time I leave that place. With a slight view of the back-yard, I could see my brothers on the swings but they probably don&rsquo;t see us leaving -- we&rsquo;ll be back to play with them in a-couple hours or so. Little-sister leads me down the street with her hand holding mine the entire time.<br /><br />The sun outside was kind-of weird today -- as-in I couldn&rsquo;t see where it was. It&rsquo;s not like it was super cloudy or anything and it was still bright enough out to see where we were going, but there didn&rsquo;t appear to be any sun or shadows. There were a-lot less cars on the street too but that didn&rsquo;t bother me -- less cars means more road for us to play on.<br /><br />Looking down at the short girl, I ask, &ldquo; How far-away is this place?&rdquo;<br /><br />With her focus still fixed in-front of her, she skipped a-little and squeezed my hand. &ldquo;Oh, like a dozen more blocks from here! That&rsquo;s okay, right?&rdquo;<br /><br />Wish I had known it was that far before we started, but I guess we&rsquo;re already on our way there so there&rsquo;s no point in turning back now. Besides, I really do want to see this abandoned house -- I kinda like scary things! I&rsquo;ve never really been that far away from home before either, I don&rsquo;t think. It&rsquo;s kind-of like an adventure we&rsquo;re on and I get to play with my new sister!<br /><br />We eventually get to the old house that&rsquo;s clearly falling apart. Part of the roof is missing, the grass is tall like a forest, the paint on the walls and fence is half gone and rotted away -- it&rsquo;s awesome! With all the broken windows, rotted wood, and fallen shingles, I&rsquo;m pretty-surprised this place is still standing. It should make for a good spooky place to play in though, I think -- as long as there aren&rsquo;t too many spiders.<br /><br />Little-sis and I open the creaky gate and follow the scattered stone path to the unlocked door that we just push open. Immediately, we&rsquo;re greeted with the stench of mould and what I can only assume is skunk. It makes me wrinkle my nose and squint my eyes but little-sis doesn&rsquo;t seem too bothered by it for whatever reason. She smiles up at me and tugs on my hand as she starts leading me through the house with excitement.<br /><br />The kitchen was horrible -- some rotting food, cupboard doors fallen off their hinges, cobwebs everywhere, and mushrooms growing the the corner. Things got better after that though. We went to the living room next where there was a sofa all torn-up, stinky and damp, with a blanket and some burnt-out candles next to it. She tried to show me the bathroom but, no, I could see it well-enough from the outside!<br /><br />Next, we head up the stairs to where some other rooms were -- the smell of skunk grew the further we climbed which put me off a-little. There was also some giggling in one of the rooms -- I guess others have also decided to be adventurers of the scary house! We could hear them saying weird things like they were calling for someone or trying to summon a ghost? Grown-ups are weird.<br /><br />We decide to stand outside the room and watch the two boys and one girl while they had their fun. One was holding a book and there was a dead animal on the floor with some markings drawn around it -- poor thing. Little-sis squeezes my hand and I look down at her to see that she seems upset. To be honest, the dead animal kind-of makes me upset too.<br /><br />I hold little-sister&rsquo;s hand tight and ask, &ldquo; What&rsquo;s wrong?&rdquo;<br /><br />She wipes her nose, sniffles, and replies, &ldquo;I know them.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;You do?&rdquo;<br /><br />She nods and swallows as she keeps her focus on the three, &ldquo; They were my big brothers and sister once. They were really mean to me.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;They were mean to you?&rdquo; I ask. &ldquo; What did they do?&rdquo;<br /><br />She sniffles again and wipes some tears from her eyes. &rdquo;...what bad neighbour did to your little brother, and... their friends would beat me up.&rdquo;<br /><br />I sigh with her hand still in mine. I was at a loss of words and a burning sensation grew inside of me as my entire body felt warmer. The candles in the room would blow out from a short gust of wind which seemed to make the three nervous. They would flick on a flash-light like they couldn&rsquo;t see even though the room seemed to be bright enough for us.<br /><br />Looking back down at my sis, I ask her, &ldquo;Do you still have that knife?&rdquo;<br /><br />She nods up at me and takes-out that black knife from inside her shirt before handing it to me. Holding the knife firmly, I stare at the mean grown-ups who must be blind or something to not have noticed us at the door watching them. After a-moment of thought, I let go of my sister&rsquo;s hand and sprint forward to immediately lunge the blade into one of them. The other two seem stunned by the sunned shriek of their brother before I quickly move to the other and jump-up to thrust the blade into his throat. He grabs his throat as-if he was choking and falls to his knees.<br /><br />I turn the the last one, but little-sis already seems to be on her once-older-sister. There was rage in her eyes that were glowing a bright red as she thrusts her knife into them repeatedly -- it was actually kind-of scary seeing her like this. Tears run down her cheeks as she screamed and thrusts a-few more times before pushing herself off of the body and runs out of the room. I follow her down the stairs and outside to the yard where she quickly jumps into my arms to wrap herself around me.<br /><br />I try to comfort her and hold her close, &ldquo; It&rsquo;s alright, sis. They deserved it.&rdquo;<br /><br />She nods into my chest still crying a-bit and sniffling, &ldquo; They did. They are meanies.&rdquo;<br /><br />As-if nothing has happened a-moment later, she hops off of me and pops a gummy-worm back between her lips before taking my hand again and staring up at me with a big smile on her face. I&rsquo;ve never noticed it before, but with her smile finally showing her teeth, I could see they were not normal -- they were all sharp and pointy.<br /><br />Her ruby-red eyes would penetrate into mine as I felt my chest begin to hurt again. My vision goes blurry and fades to nothingness.<br /><br />Rebirth<br /><br /><br />\tLaying on my bed, I awake to a familiar feeling. My body ached all over, my head was throbbing, and my back felt like it was cut into pieces -- but all of that paled to the warm sensation I felt down below. Struggling to push myself up enough to look down in my weakened state, I see that winged creature from my dreams with it&rsquo;s lips around my privates. I fall back down to lay on my bed, unable to move as the strange creature held the base of my boy-parts while sliding it&rsquo;s soft and warm lips up and down the length of it.<br /><br />Trying to get another look down at the young human-like creature, I could see it&rsquo;s wings extended from it&rsquo;s back and a pointed tail swaying in the air. Small horns extended for it&rsquo;s forehead and I could feel sharp pointed teeth lightly brushing along my sensitive boy-parts as it&rsquo;s lips would make subtle slurpy noises around my swollen boyhood. It felt amazing how warm it&rsquo;s mouth was while it&rsquo;s soft and suctioned lips would slide along my sensitive bits making it twitch.<br /><br />Soft moans escape my breath as I pant and grip my hands into the bed sheets. I could feel my boy-parts further swell inside the creature&rsquo;s mouth as it&rsquo;s sharp teeth would continue to gently graze over it&rsquo;s sensitive length while the soft lips would follow up and down in quiet slurps. My body tensed, my hips push upwards, and my swollen member began to throb and twitch as it spurts it&rsquo;s warm boy-milk into the creatures eager mouth.<br /><br />A-few more spurts of warm liquid escape my throbbing little member as the warm and tingling feeling gradually fade from me. The creature seemed to seal it&rsquo;s lips as they slowly slid up my length to the tip to end with a slurpy noise and a giggle. I felt better. My body no-longer ached and I was no longer too weak to move. Still panting, I catch my breath before eventually pushing myself up to sit on the edge of the bed.<br /><br />The winged creature was still here this time. They did not vanish like the end of my dream and I could see them perfectly as they wipe their lips and look up at me with it&rsquo;s glowing ruby-red eyes. It couldn&rsquo;t be -- I recognize this face. This was my sister; but, she had wings, a tail, and little horns now. She stared into my eyes with a big smile as she swallowed my boy-milk in one gulp which made me rather blush.<br /><br />&ldquo;Little-sis...&rdquo; I softly whisper to her. &ldquo; You&rsquo;re different.&rdquo;<br /><br />Her wings stretched-out a moment as she stood-up and nodded after putting a gummy-worm back between her lips. &ldquo; This is how I always looked. You needed time to adjust.&rdquo;<br /><br />Confused, I ask, &ldquo;Adjust... To you?&rdquo;<br /><br />She giggles and give a toothy grin as she holds out her hands for me to take. &ldquo;Yep! But also...&rdquo;<br /><br />Taking her hands in mine, I stand up from bed still naked along-side my winged-sister as she lead me to the mirror in our bedroom. As she lead me closer to my reflection, I could see more of what she meant -- I seemed to have changed. The wings, the tail, the little horns and pointy ears -- even the sharp little teeth as I leaned into the mirror with my mouth open to get a better look. I looked back to make sure it wasn&rsquo;t a trick while I brush my hand along one wing and then the other before inspecting my new tail -- they all seemed so real.<br /><br />Still examining myself, I ask her in a frightened and trembly, &ldquo; What is all of this?&rdquo;<br /><br />She stands next to me in the mirror in a warm hug. &ldquo;Haven&rsquo;t you figured it out yet? Why nobody has noticed you?&rdquo;<br /><br />I shake my head and look at us in the mirror. &ldquo;No...&rdquo;<br /><br />She giggles and gives me a squeeze. &ldquo; You&rsquo;re dead, silly! And now you&rsquo;re an imp like me.&rdquo;<br /><br />Pushing her away and escaping the reflection from the mirror, I scowl at her, &ldquo; What do you mean, &lsquo;dead&rsquo;? I never died!&rdquo;<br /><br />She chews on her gummy worm and nods at me with a slightly saddened face. &ldquo;I felt the same way at first, too. It&rsquo;s a-lot to take-in, I guess. But that night, in the bathtub -- you did not leave from there.&rdquo;<br /><br />Feeling a-little dizzy, I sit down on the carpet to think. Little-sis sits next and leans against me with her head on my shoulder while chewing on her gummy-worm some more. I rest my arm around her back and hold her side while still struggling to grasp all of this. Am I really dead? Will I ever be-able to spend time with my brothers again? This is all just too surreal for me to handle...<br /><br />My two brothers had returned to the room while little-sis and I sat with each-other. They had a bottle of foster-mum&rsquo;s drink that they had opened and started to takes big sips from. They sat there laughing, drinking, and crying while I watched. Little-sis was right -- they didn&rsquo;t even know I was here with them. I wanted to join them so badly... I wanted to laugh and play with them forever and to be there for them when they need me.<br /><br />Eventually, big-brother crawled into his bed and went to sleep while little-brother just sat on the edge of his bed. He reached under the mattress to pull-out a knife from the kitchen and stared at it for the longest time. I tried to take it from him but my hands would just pass right through him as he had no idea that I was trying to help -- wishing he would just lay down and go-to sleep.<br /><br />Little-brother stood from his bed, staggering a-bit as mum&rsquo;s drink still had a strong affect on him. Still holding the knife, I watched as he left the room and entered the bathroom to close the door behind him. Little-sis gave me a close hug before she followed after him, turning back to me with sadness in her eyes.<br /><br />&ldquo;I have more work to do, my friend.&rdquo; She said to me as she entered the bathroom with my little-brother.</span>",
