The salty breeze brushed their faces as the waves lapped at the shore. Ashley, full of mischievous energy, couldn’t resist trying to catch Seb’s attention. She flashed him smiles, spun around in the sand, and dove into the water, playfully splashing him. Seb, though he enjoyed her company, seemed more interested in talking about his latest mountain adventure than noticing Ashley’s attempts to impress him.
As they strolled, Ashley noticed Seb’s gaze wandering. “You know,” he said, stopping to watch the seagulls flying nearby, “my girlfriend always says the sunsets here are the best.”
Ashley raised an eyebrow, surprised. “Girlfriend?” she asked, a mix of disbelief and annoyance in her voice. “And why didn’t you mention that before?”
Seb scratched the back of his head, looking sheepish. “Well, I thought you knew. Besides, we’re here as friends, right?”
Ashley crossed her arms, a playful spark lighting up her eyes. “Oh, so you still like 11 years old ones uh...I remeber when I was a naive loli and you just came with that slender body and huge bulge around and did adult things on me..and now you do the same to my little cousin. But let me warn you, Seb—friends can play tricks too.”
Seb chuckled "I have to be carefull you know...my likes well dont want to be in a trouble so I chose the right lolis", thinking Ashley was joking. But before he could react, Ashley pulled out a leash she had bought from a souvenir shop. “If we’re going to be friends, you’ll have to follow my rules,” she said with a grin that was equal parts playful and daring.
Before Seb could protest, Ashley looped the leash around his wrist. “Now, friend Seb, you’ll be my personal guide around the beach! Don’t worry—I won’t bite... unless you deserve it.”
Seb couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, alright. But if anyone asks, I’m blaming you.”
The two continued their walk, laughing and enjoying the afternoon. Though Ashley didn’t manage to catch Seb’s romantic interest, they both discovered they could share a friendship full of jokes and lighthearted fun. By the end of the day, the sunset painted the sky in hues of gold and orange, reminding them that sometimes, the most genuine connections are the ones you don’t plan.
