Granted most of the forces successfully fought off however some mobians might have slipped past and picked up information upon the various flora that plague the island on the way to extraction. The discovery of said information and island has to lead many scientists to observe them. Some more attacks were conducted but not as big as the initial raid. Nuclear attacks were considered but considering the island is near Russia. That would not bold well and the attack itself was on Russian territory. \n\nConsidering the island wasn't really secretive anymore, another raid would mean the destruction of said flora and or more slimes, there weren't much the slimes can do but flee to Ukraine and Russia, along with any flora, items, tech, and food. Over time the slimes became acclimated to the people which brought in a new wave of slimes but also brought in a new wave of anomalies that spread from the island onto the lands. Even exposed to the world the slimes still remain a serious mystery along with the anomalies they spawn around them.
