The Midterm of Creations Ias thusly basked in the memory of his various creations with Sidge, relating his feelings and reflections: "I found that I used some general forms and I will name them but firstly, despite what you may think, creation of creatures is a delicate process. I had to disect birds and other various creatures here in order to get a basis of general forms. That's why there's a lab here in Primeon. Before I even tried creating the living, I had to get the inantimate down and building of structures and dwellings was the peak of that phase. But, I have some books on other creatures I used except some mythological creatures such a dragons and gryphons. For those I had to use faith as well as the general forms, even then I experimented around. "Even though, before I had those books, since I had to acquire them first of course, my first creations were off what I saw and knew about from my first education on Ladolis. There were animals and vegetables I worked on at first and mostly. I knew about other such living things that are too small for us to see but since I was using crystons to begin with, I didn't see too much reason to work with them. I mean, getting the body structures and miniscule cells of a higher creation was painstaking enough. "But I started with what I knew, I created a cat that was tiger striped. He was a little chubby on account of his body structures and me getting started out, sort of a pot belly. Yeah, I've since learned to control that." "Then why...." Sidge started rubbing his belly. "I like it though, I mean I was fat as a kid and it has some sentimental value and I like it, it's like a fetish. You're lucky that you don't have people making fun of you," Ias explained. Sidge nodded looking away for a moment then back at Ias who continued his narration, "This cat was the first lesson in Creation relations that I haven't really perfected to this day. The cat just ran and hid, see I tried to remedy this coaxing it and offering it food. It finally came to come when I called but it took even longer for me to be able to pick it up. In a sense maybe I have learned relations but this Cat, I made it so that I could understand him and he was on wild thing, personality was one thing I never worked on. I just let randomness take over and thusly I got a wild creature. I let it go out to explore Pranoke but it didn't come back and to this day I think i've lost it. "The next creature followed opposite the cat phase, I created a dog, sort of a gray scraggy long harried mutt. It was not as pot-bellied as I figured to firm up it's muscles in it's abdomen. This dog was kinda' an idiot, I didn't think it knew what to make of it's surroundings. Dog's are sociable though it didn't know what to make of me as it didn't accept me to touch it but it accepted food as the cat did. Then it finally warmed up to me. We were inseperable but it came the time, as dog's don't last very long and he perished from old age. "A bird was next, a small sparrow, but as soon as I made it it flew right away. "Thus, I planned my next course of action. Really it's tedious to describe them all. I mean I started out with general animals and after I had gotten documentation with them I started varying them. I must make charts to describe them all and I will need to refer to my journal for all of them." "It sounds tedious," Sidge said. "Yes. And as I hinted with the dog, the creations only live for so long. I've had many companions from my creations and I've created many things. I've been alive now more than several human lifetimes. I've extended it so not only that I can create for sometime but so it would allow me to perfect my powers, see practicing and improving my powers has become my life's work," Ias replied. "So, these that are with you are new?" Sidge asked. "Well not new, they have been with me for a few decades, Nellms and Elaejia especially. The others have been with me for a little more than that. I don't usually keep track," Ias explained. "Didn't you create more?" Sidge questioned again. "Oh yes, but they left, I haven't been able to find them. I still owe them wishes," Ias said. "Maybe we'll find them when we go find alvin," Sidge said. Ias didn't reply to this but looked away. "You really must not like this Alvin," Sidge said at length. "I don't. Anyone to compare notes too... I've had no friends during my childhood. To compare my wilderness travels with his formal learning. It isn't what I'd want. It's a personal thing to me, with my developing my powers, you see," Ias explained. "Well, Ias, I doubt he's going to suggest any major changes. You might tell him a thing or two," Sidge replied. "Doubtless I will, but if he so much as condescends me then I'm coming back here," Ias said. "Then you're going?" Sidge asked. "Yes. So get ready sidge," Ias said. "With what?" Sidge asked looking around. "Well, come with me to get the others," Ias said and moved them to the foyer. "They are restructuring the lower levels, Ias. Where would everyone go?" Sidge said. Ias nodded, "I thought they'd come here." Ias outstretched his hands above his head and there was a flash of light momentarily all around. When it cleared the others stood there looking around. "This must be an occasion," Elaejia hissed. "What?" Sidge hissed. "We're hardly ever summoned," Slas said coming up behind sidge making him jump. Sidge looked at the little dragon but didn't say anything and Ias saw Slas tilt her head to a side. Ias saw Redalis and Vigaush were still quite fiesty as well and teased one another with touches and words. "'ey Sco?" Ias said and the Masprit appeared. "Tell the others that they can drop what they're doing and come along. You just have to remain invisible when I say," Ias told Sco. "Come along where," Redalis said and flinched as Vigaush nipped at her ear. "Okay. Those who want to come with me to see Alvin, we're going soon," Ias said. "Why?" Vigaush said and jumped as Redalis pulled slightly on one of his tail feathers. Ias turned to Vigaush and sighed, "You don't have to come, I was just going to furfill Sidge's request." "But you're going," Elaejia pointed out. "Why do you think?" Ias snapped at Elaejia who almost jumped back physically. "I think I might want to go along just to make sure you and this other Eliuser don't get into a bit of a brush," Elaejia said and Nellms gave her a look with which she looked back saying, "What?" Nellms stared at her for a little bit. "I'll go," Redalis said and started moving but Vigaush grabbed her by her tail. "What?! Ias you're going to get all the ladies to go with you," Vigaush squawked. Redalis squeaked as Vigaush pulled back on her tail and turned around, "Maybe we're a bit concerned about Ias," Redalis growled and Vigaush released her tail throwing his wings up in peace. "You mean about his ego." Ias looked around and behind himself and saw Zeck step out of the lift there half stumbling. "I'll say it again, you don't have to go! If you're going to go then meet me down in the caverns in a little while!" Ias said and turned to leave. "Wait, the caverns," Nellms said from behind. "No way, you're going to...?" Vigaush squawked. Ias saw Sko appear out of the coner of his eye an turned in his direction, "I hope you're going to show us which way to go down there." Sko flew right up to Ias settling on the ground before him, "I was hoping you would lead the way." "Why? You know it better than I do," Ias said. Sko gave an uneasy smile, "The elders won't allow me, Ias, sorry. It's dangerous down there, I told them this but they just said to protect you and not to guide you or inform you about the caverns anymore than saying it's dangerous," Sko explained. Ias took a long look at him then at the others giving a triumphant smile, "Now who wants to go!?" No one said a thing and Ias looked at Sidge who said, "Even if it's dangerous, I mean we can't stay here forever to be sure. And you can protect whoever goes with you Ias." The smile dissapated from Ias quickly, "Are you sure?" "It's my wish to see Alvin, that's includes protection?" Sidge said. "Now it does," Ias said through his teeth and turned to Sko and passed him by walking away from them and dissapeared. He reappeared in his study and retrieved his robe with a slow pace and went to stand by the window. Then he suddenly threw a bolt of fire out the window and it fell splattering on the mountain there and caught the distant brush on fire. It died out quickly on account of the wind and Ias hit the bottom of his fist on the window saying aloud, "This is going to be one of my most forceful uses of my powers!" The outburst from him only made him more determined to make a nice lightshow in his path down into the caverns. "Passageway, tell you secrets to me!" Ias demanded of the nearest passageway of the caverns as the others watched him from the center of the cavern. The cavern was just below the last floor of Primeon, it was reached either by teleportation or by the lift which connected by a stalagmite and stalagtite that connected in the center. The cavern itself was much larger than the floors above being dark and compossed of brown rock laced and dripping with moisture. Suddenly there was a rumbling down inside the passageway that at first was just a rumbling but then started to make sense to Ias, "I go down further than the depth of your dreams. How dare you command me?" Ias clenched his fist raising it slightly but he controlled himself then turned around glancing at everyone including Sko but minus his masprit Lio whom he had instructed to work and upkeep Primeon while he was gone, utilizing the caverns he explored to turn into rooms and various passages. He had the rest of his Masprits spread around the cavern invisible and to follow his moves until he called for them. Min was to record everything that happened and everything they met and to store it in the dimension Ias created until retrieval was needed. Bik and Kif were mainly scouting out the area but Ias thought told Bik to scout out the passage, then he went to the next passage and addressed it in the same matter as he did the other. "I go to a cavern and the caverns to other caverns," The passage rumbled. Ias sent thoughts to Kif telling him to investigate this passage. Then he moved onto the other one, that one, and there was one left and that would be it. He repeated his question. "I divulge nothing to the demanding," It spat rumbled at him. Ias shrugged then he felt the thoughts of Bik, 'It is big Ias, Do you want me to try to dispatch it?' 'Lead, it here,' Ias thoughtcast back, looking at the passage he sent him down. 'There are too many, Ias,' the thoughts of Kif came back to Ias. 'Lead them back here,' Ias thoughtcast back and he heard distant squeaks coming from the passage Bik went down and a rumbling was coming out of the passage Kif went down himself. "Ias, Lookout!" Sidge roared. Ias spun around and sunk back as there was a fully fledged dragon several times the size of Sidge and about the size of the wide mouthed cave it stood in. It reared back and came forward too quick for Ias to react and he cringed but Viv and Sko appeared and erected a white barrier between them and the dragon, letting the creature fall against it with such fericity Ias backed upward and heard cries from the others, so looked up and saw a menacing face staring down at him. Ias wasn't sure what it was but thoughtcast quickly for Gyu to knock it up and the creature shuddered and near fell on top of Ias but he moved out of the way just in time. There was loud screeching all about and giant purple looking creatures were flying and swooping all about. He recognized them as giant Bats but it was really too many to handle so Ias ducked out of sight and watched heard the screeching circle around overhead for a while and finally he heard it die down and thus he got up and looked at the creature that was staring down at him. It was tall, a near three quarters of a tall tree, green skinned, having scraggly brown hair and wearing a tunic and trousers, "A troll," Ias called out and the thing stirred so Ias backed up a little. "Ow...," It got up then saw Ias who was moving his hand back with fire collecting around it, "Hey... I dunna' wanna' hurt ya'. I was just following that ghost man, I wanna' find my way out of dis' here place." Ias shuddered at his hairy face and pointed nose, twisted into something ugly enough that Ias couldn't look at him directly. Suddenly there was a great roar and Ias looked back over to the dragon who was pacing back and forth behind the shield, "Now, you stop it!" Ias yelled in it's direction and the creature did stop so Ias went up to it. "Why are you acting like this!?" The dragon responded by attacking the shield again roaring which turned into whimpering at various intervals, "I WANT OUT OUT OUT!! I HATE THIS PLACE I'VE BEEN IN HERE FOR WEEKS WEEKS WEEKS!!" "Calm down, Calm Down!" Ias cried to it but it wouldn't so he send a soothing wave of synth through the barrier. The creature became looser and stopped backing away from the shield. Then he broke down whimpering, "I I want to get out, I want to get out!!" Ias felt compassion overcome him and without warning burst through the shield to the cries of Sko and Viv. The dragon backed up and came up straight at his approached and backed up a little more. Ias sent another wave at the creature and it started swaying and came down to all fours slightly laying on the ground, "Dragon tamer?! Dragon tamer?! The prophecy, the prodical stands before me," The creature said in the low hiss and his head started drooping. Ias went right up to the creature and reached out to touch his head but Sko stayed his hand helped by Viv on his arm. "What are you doing?!" Ias demanded trying to free his arm and hand "What are you trying to do, Ias?! A full grown dragon is nothing to mess with," Sko said. Sko looked upon the dragon sheepishly softly replying, "I think I can handle the thing." "Obsessed with these things he is," Sko commented but let him go followed by Viv. Ias put his hand upon the dragon's head and sensed his thoughts. A flood of emotions rushed through him throwing him back but he felt the creatures torment and despair, It was near enough to make him cry but he spoke with a choked voice, "I'm sorry, I guess dragon fever never went out of me." "It is a beautiful dragon," The troll said coming to them. Ias turned to him and tiled his head, he never expected that to come from the troll. "Are you going to keep him or something, Sir?" the troll asked ignoring his look. "I might," Ias found himself saying. "Ias," Sko said. Ias looked at Sko and saw his serious face so looked at the dragon again, "Rise my friend." The creature snapped awake and immediately sat up before crying and whimpering again buring it's head in between it's talons. "Come with us, we will show you a way out," Ias softly told the creature but it still cowered and whimpered. Ias reached out again and heard Sko start again but he didn't restrain Ias this time so Ias touched the creature. He brought out his mirror from his robe and touched his hand to it. The creature instantly shrunk to the hand sized mirro and passed into it. "Imprison him?" The troll said standin up nearly missing crashing his head against the cavern. "What are you doing here?" Ias asked. "Oh, sir, I was going to visit my cousin for a duty and I thought I could take a cave as a shortcut," The troll explained rubbing his head. "No need to call me sir, just Ias," Ias told the creature. "Oh, but I always address Synthicians with the proper respect. Especially ones that can put a draconic asleep of that size and then suck him up into a mirror," the troll said. "Simples tricks," Sko said expressionless and moved off back into the cavern. Ias followed with the troll beside him. "Who are you?" Ias addressed the troll when they were back in the middle of the cavern before the others who in turn cringed a little away from the troll. "I was named Gesh after my grandfather, the great troll smith of Meckbardian," the troll explained. "That's right, trolls are great smiths next to dwarves," Sidge said coming closer then up beside Ias still a little uneasy before it. "Aye, sir small dragon, I was trained by my father in smithery as he was by my grandfather. The secrets of Meckbardian are passed down to me to pass on to my son or daughter if I have one," the troll explained. "Tell me, Gesh, you said you got lost looking for your cousin," Ias questioned. "Well sir, no, I was looking for a place I could go for my skills to be used," troll said looking down. "Maybe you could come with us after all, we may come across what you're looking for," Sidge told him. "Where are you going?" the troll asked. "We are going to find Alvin Abernous, I am wanting to get a feel for other worlds on our way, myself," Sidge said. "You are going nowhere," a deep voice said from down the cavern Ias was down in with the dragon. The voice was a cold breeze to Ias and made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Then came into the cavern a creature resembling a shadow but looking like a man with goat horns and hoofs. "Demon. A fallen Masprit," Sko said through clenched teeth. "Not more powerful than you Sko?" Redalis squeaked. "No, Demons lost the Will of the Mentors when they decide to break away from them. Their form is contorted as a result and they can look like anything but always they carry the aura which is a scar of one who rejects the direct will of the elders." "Shove it Masprit," The demon hissed become a human sized serpant-like creature. Sko moved forward, "Make me." "I just want the dragon, give it to me," the demon hissed becoming a dragon itself. "What do you want with it?" Ias said. The demon hissed coming closer and Sko shot to one side of Ias with Viv on the other, "I want it, I possessed it, it will carry me onward." "They are forced to become parasitic to first forms and some secondary forms less than them," Sko said. "Ahhh," the demon hissed and reached out to Ias but met an invisible barrier. Ias looked at Sko and viv and both their ghostly eyes were white. "IIIIIIIII... IIIIIIIIII.... iiiiii..." the demon hissed slowly and moved away and went back down the passage. "Sheesh. I'm not sure I want to be part of this anymore," Redalis said and went back toward the lift in the stalagtite and stalagmite. Ias suddenly felt something strange coming from there, "No... NO... REDALIS!!" Instantly before Redalis reached the lift she was propelled into the air and tossed around above them writhing and squeaking uncontrollably. Ias made to move toward her but Sko held him back, "There's nothing you can do, you attack her and you might kill her." "The dragon got away from the evil thing, Sko!" Sidge roared looking onward with bared teeth at Redalis. Ias looked at Sko and Sko released him suddenly. Ias ran up underneath Redalis and thundered, "LET GO OF HER!" He then threw a white envelope that stuck to his hand over Redalis, "She is mine own creation, release her fiend!" Ias increased the pressure and shot up a red envelope and pieced her collective cryston with it and locating the demon, threw a shield up around him drawing him out and into the mirror with which he put the same barrier on so he wouldn't get out then he remembered the dragon and frantically got the mirror before him after lowering Redalis in the envelope down. He saw in it the dragon was writhing around with it's mouth open, probably screaming Ias surmised as he couldn't hear any sound from it. Ias tipped the mirror back slightly putting his hand and caressing the edges of it. Then, he suddenly brought back his freehand, and light shot from it enveloping the mirror. After a while the dragon flew out of the mirror and collapsed aside Redalis. Ias at once took the mirror and smashed it with such force from the frustration that was welling up in him that no only did the mirror itself break but the frame also split in two. Ias dropped the last bits of the mirror and knelt down beside Redalis. Vigaush flew up to his shoulder and when Ias stooped over Redalis he nipped her ear, "S... S... stop it..." she mumbled. In response Vigaush hopped down onto her which made her squirm and Viguash unfurled his wings and left them out to his side for balance. He nipped at her face and she immediately rolled over and started shivering. Ias picked her up and stood up bringing her close to him. "Well... at least I have guys to protect me," she said opening her eyes. Ias teleported Vigaush, Redalis, and himself to her newly created room kneeling down again before he did and it was a good decision because he saw how low it was, just enough to near bump his head. It was just about three quarter the size of Ias tall, it had small windows at the far end which the sun cast some rays of light but not enough to fill the whole room. The carpet was thick but otherwise the room didn't have much too it. It was still as wide and long as the other rooms, and had a lift entrance at the opposite end of the windows. Ias put Redalis down and Vigaush curled up next to her putting a wing over her, "Don't wait up for me, I don't know how long I will be. I would not have you endanger like that again, but if you change your mind later then I will give make a small jewel that you can talk to me with in extended telepathy, it will be linked to me wherever I go. I will let Llo tend to you, Lio will be around should you need anything as far as the buildings go." Vigaush nodded and Redalis mumbled so Ias made up a jewel from the air, it was small enough to be held in the hand and had a string tied around it and a loop that Ias hung from Vigaush's neck that was also just his size, hanging as far as his chest. Ias nodded and vanished. The others were still there though much more alert as Ias could understand, "Zeck, Slas, Nellms, and Elaejia? I really don't recommend that you go after what happened with Redalis." "NO, Ias. I feel I must go for some reason now," Slas said. "I'm waivered, I will go until worse comes to worse," Zeck replied. Ias turned to him, "Worse comes to worse?" "If we see another demon, Ias, I'm not so sure I would stand going any further," Zeck answered. "Maybe I should enact some permanent protections," Ias said looking down and away from Zeck. "Permanent protections? Ias, I'm surprised you haven't taken the precautions before," Sko commented. Ias looked at him and shrugged, "I've been through the wilderness. Until I built up my powers to even put worthwhile protections on, I was so used to living without them." "Surely, you've put some on yourself at least," Sko said. "I have, at least some modifications for extended life and those type of precautions. I'm talking about precautions and protections for that which I have created. I've not granted what my creations didn't ask for," Ias said. "Well, as my request now, grant your creations protections," Slas said. Ias shook his head, "I don't have powers beyond the first form, Slas. I can't just snap my fingers and all my creations ever created have protections. I am unable to grant your request, Slas." "Well, then why no those around you?" Slas replied. "You mean within my jurisdiction of Pranoke?" Ias suggested. Slas shook his head so Ias came over and touched her on the head. Immediatly she was enveloped in a white light and this lasted for a few moments, "You have the highest protection of me, no one can harm you as long as I am near you to empower it. Not under my eye, not under my watch, it will be void." "Protection as long as you're around? What about if we are seperated?" Slas protested. "You should've been more specific. I mean, can you blame him if he doesn't know what exactly to give you?" Zeck told Slas. "I wanted all time protection?" Slas complained. Ias sighed and made as if to throw something at Slas, and she backed up in warning but Ias launched nothing as he went to pitch what he had meant to throw, "There." "How do I know it works?" Slas said. Ias in turn threw a drop of water up overhead hitting a stalagtite. It immediately fell at Slas who promptly moved out of the way but stumbled. The pointed mass pieced into her but shattered into dust just as quick. Slas checked herself and gave a draconic grin. Ias put his hand to his forehead and shook it. He moved and threw several balls of light at Sidge, Nellms, Elaejia who opened her mouth and started to utter a word before it hit her, and Zeck. The light burst and enveloped them each for a few moments before dissapating. Ias flicked two additional balls of light upward hitting the ceiling in two evenly spaced places. The light burst open and a barrier formed along the walls of the cave and entrances of white light and all over the floor before becoming transparent, "Protection for Pranoke." "I've never seen you use long range before," Elaejia said. "It isn't instant, it takes a few moments. But anyways, Llo!" Ias said. The masprit appeared before him, "Protect and watch over Redalis and Vigaush." The masprit bowed and dissapeared. Ias turned to the others and then to Gesh, "I... I mean, you can come with us, but again, I can't guarantee we'll find anything." "You're much greater than a commen Synthician, sir, I wish to be inducted into your service?" Gesh replied. "Service...? Gesh, I have no doubt of your great skill, but I am sure there are others that would be able to use that skill better than me. As i said before, I am going to see Alvin Abernous, you can come..." Ias suggested. "I know you will have a need of my hammer and forge someday, sir. I can forsee it. If you don't need my hammer for the forge, maybe you need it to keep an extra eye out for those who would tread upon your way against you?" Gesh said reaching behind himself and bringing forth a sledge hammer half the size of him, and a little over Ias's height, that was concealed by his back before, as Ias didn't recall seeing it. Gesh held the hammer like a swordsman would his sword and Ias saw that it was exceptional. He didn't know much about weaponary but this hammer looked like it had been pulled off of a decorative mantle, it was completely metal and engraved with many shiny etchings. The head itself seemed smaller that the whole handle and was big and round shaped with a flat surface on either end yet curved on all around it's other sides. The head itself was also metallic and seemed to give off a glow that reverated throughout the whole implement. Most of all Ias felt some substantial synth sequences reverating from it as Gesh held it, "Does you craft include synth?" "When it calls for it. Sometimes a weapon wielder needs an extra edge but not against those soley in this life but those in the secondary life," Gesh explained. "I am impressed," Ias said smiling and touching the weapon and felt it's synth edge vibrate through him. "I will make you one if you wish, considering you are of the masterful synth trait, a weapon signifying your craft but being in it's own speciality as you have shown yourself to be," Gesh told him. "A staff or rod, you mean? That's the only thing that reminds me of synthicians," Ias suggested curious. "A rod of silver but on top of it shall be a hammer head close to the make of my hammer head here but smaller and lighter so as to keep the balance adequate. And the head shall read, smiter of demons and tamer of dragons. It shall look a little like a 'T' before I'm done yet the handle will be much longer than the top to due to the stave portion. The only thing I need to do this is a forge and some ingots of silver," Gesh explained. "Well, you don't have make a weapon..." Ias started. "I insist," Geh responded immediately. Ias turned to Sidge, "Do you mind that wait?" "Not at all, I'm curious as to seeing an actual forge," Sidge replied. "I think we'll go upstairs and wait," Zeck said and went to the lift followed by Slas. Ias turned to Nellms and Elaejia and they laid down on the ground while Viv and Sko just hovered there above them. "Okay. " Ias said and turning toward Gesh contructed a basin of stone about the size of himself filled with hot coals and having an awning that was a vent came to a pipe that went up for a little bit and through the ceiling to the left at an angle. Then he made an giant anvil. "The silver ingots?" Gesh said and Ias came up with them and produced them to him. Farther too his vision of a higher sense ias knew indeed that the troll spoke the truth. He watched him and was reassured every second that the creature went and hammered at the ingots and forced them back into the coal but as he did the first time he said to Ias, "I almost forgot water." Ias nodded and made up a trought of water below the trough of the coals. Gesh set to work hammering out the silver and putting it into the coals and into the water in turn then beating it a few times before repeating the process. It took hardly no time and he had the bar and handle for the rod beaten out. Then he went to work on the head which was mallet head sized as his was broad and worked it into shape from the other ingot. Then he set to work ingraving it with many lines that though they may have seemed like decorations to some Ias knew them to be imbedded synth sequences of a wild magic and this riled Ias up and made his interest peak for he realized his connection of training himself in synth use and the wild embued enchantments on the staff hammer were of a similarity. Then Gesh put the hammer one more time into the water and continued ingraving it and then he put the ingravings into the head that overlapped the other ingravings not taking the power level of the synth sequence down strangely at all. He marked the head so it said across both sides the phrase, "Smiter of demons and tamer of dragons." "Tamer of dragons," Ias repeated aloud. He had loved them since coming into contact with them in books and being told stories as a kid. He never thought himself as a tamer. Even with the dragon that was scared out of it's mind was an exception to normal dragon taming. Sidge for one wasn't even a real mentor created home grown one. Ias shook his head at the thought but couldn't help but feel he left the thought unchecked. "It is done," Gesh said handing it to Ias who was reluctant to take it fearing it may be hot but after Gesh tried to hand it to him again Ias took it and saw that not only was it cool but light as a feather. The synth sequence reverated through him for a second then went down to a light reveration obviously not awakening until Ias was awakened or in a heightened awareness himself, ready to strick out at a foe. He twirled the staff hammer around and felt the cool smoothness of the implement and the various grooves and when he rubbed the grooves it felt near massaging as well. "Exquisite, Gesh. I've never seen the likeness," Ias said feeling it again then looking back at Gesh who said nothing but nodded. "It is an implement of unique design, Ias," Sko commented coming up. "Unlike any craftsmenship I've even come across before," Ias said. "Indeed, I've not seen the likeness in some time since past," Sko replied. Ias went over to the dragon, he'd forgotten about it but it was surely knocked out and overehausted. He put the head of the hammer up upon the creature and Immediately felt a heightened sense of awareness and felt power surging from the implement and from himself into the dragon. The creature immediately shot upward onto all fours and Ias gasped as to the quickness of it. "A channeling mechanism as well, it's not only an implement for walking with and hitting with," Sko said. "I hardly willed or thought anything," Ias said. "Pre-will, I never thought I'd see it happen again.... You did it Ias, you're heightened..." Sko said in a low voice. Sidge, Nellms, Elaejia, and Gesh came up to him. "What do you mean?" Sidge asked. "Why with just an implement, Sko?" Ias said dumbfounded. "What, what happened?" Nellms said looking from Ias to Sko. "He's in his heightened stage, he's near his peak," Sco said. "Oh... oh... wow... way to go Ias!" Nellms said smiling. "What? What's his heightened sense?" Gesh asked looking at Sko. "He is an Eliuser, Gesh, you're making him a synth embued weapon bolstered his ability and gave him a nudge up near the peak of his capabilities," Sko explained. In response Gesh dropped down onto his knees and looked up at Ias who still held the implement with disbelief, "My lord, it was my family's legacy to serve Eliuser's. You should have told me before." Ias looked dead center at Gesh, "You...?" Gesh bowed lower, "I'm sorry, I mispoke, I should have told you this at first my lord, I..." "Get up off the floor, Gesh! No need to make yourself out to be lower than me. I am not a god, I am a mortal as you are," Ias said bringing the staff end of the hammer staff to the ground and holding it at his side. Gesh obeyed immediately getting up. The dragon who had all the time stood in a dead trance suddenly shook it's head and screeched, "Oh oh oh... help me! Help me! I can't move!" Ias turned to the dragon and reached out to comfort it. The hammer staff reacted and split apart covering his hands so that Ias looked like he was wearing shiny liquid silver gloves. His hands touched the creature and a silver light radiated from his hand and enveloped the creature completely and then receded back into his hands. Ias pulled back and the silver liquid moved back to his right hand and shaped back into the hammer staff. The creature shuddered and dropped down to a position laying on his belly, Ias moved and hugged the creature around the neck and the hammer staff did the same thing as it did before, enveloping his hands, and Ias held on this time longer and he felt his senses become sharper and the atmosphere around him felt different as well so he detached but was now inside his dimension he had banished the demon too. There it was chasing the dragon around who was screeching with a high pitched screech. "No..." Ias said in a low voice and flew toward the dragon and the demon. He felt anger for the demon and compassion for the dragon but swooped in grabbing both up in his hand and looked at them surprised for they were like little dolls now. The dragon cowered and the demon tried to bite his hand. Ias squeezed the demon shouting at it,"Don't you ever do that again! You poor excuse for an existing form." Ias released his grip, though, and the demon bit into his finger. Ias shook it and it cried, "Releassssse meeeee!" "Stop it an I will," Ias told it bringing it up close to his face. "Neverrrr..." It hissed spitting at him. Ias wiped it with his free hand and looked upon the demon for a moment, "I will give you a form of mine to inhabit. Just not this one," Ias said. The demon changed into a human with appearance that looked like he hadn't bathed in a month. It pointed straight at Ias and bellowed, "You......!" It squirmed free of Ias's grip and flew straight at him. Ias stared down upon it and it stopped in midflight squirming before Ias's face. Ias brought it up with his mind and crashed it down upon the ground and brought it back up repeating it again. "You have no power here, parasite!" Ias shouted at it bringing it closer to him. It squirmed and yelled and spat but to no avail. Ias waited for what seemed like an eternity to him for the creature to stop and it grew limp in the hold Ias had in the air and looked up at him a mere mouse to Ias, about a little larger than Redalis was, moreso a rat that could be held in the hand. "I'll send up to the depths where the masprits dwell and let them torture and kick you around," Ias said to it shaking it around in his mind. "NO! No!," the demon screeched. "Then I will give you one of my maspritic forms to dwell in so as to realize your stature as it once was. If you prove yourself able to fit the role again, maybe the mentors will give you back that which you lost," Ias told him and the demon became animate again looking up at Ias, it's pointed tail twitching. "The fiend doesn't deserve another chance." Ias looked at his other hand and saw that the dragon had revived slightly. He smiled at it. "Do I..." the demon said trailing off. Ias brought them both close, "ones was a higher form than what it is, dragon. From what he did I would destroy him, yet even though, I'd find his chance is better if he tries to redeem himself." "No... he's a fiend, he'll turn on you the chance he gets," The dragon retorted. "If he does, then no loss to us as I know for a fact that he cannot ascend higher than that what he is. If he is a masprit of mine he can't rise up against me, he has not the power. And I have an Idea, sir dragon. He will be your servant," Ias told the dragon. "Now, wait a moment, I'm not having that fiend do things under me, I don't trust him, he possessed me and made me hurt people," the dragon said. "He won't be able to hurt you, dragon, he just won't be able to. Just try him, I don't expect you to like it, but try him and if you don't then just return him," Ias said and set to work constructing a masprit. "A prison he will be to me," the demon said. "Yes, since I will make him void of those parts you will give him, he will be fully a form for you to inhibit, and thus you are bound to him for his duration," Ias explained finishing the masprit and he brought the too of them together and they stuck together and combined into one form that floated in the air before Ias and the dragon. "You are bound to him. What is your name dragon?" Ias asked. The dragon looked up at Ias and then the demon, "Sedas." "And you demon?" Ias asked turning to it. "Zazir," it said. Ias backed out of the dimension and found himself clutching the dragon still around the neck but he released it and the hammer staff returned to normal in his hand. Zazir hovered beside the dragon now. "You..." Sko said coming up to the demon in Masprit's clothing. Ias nodded at Sko, "I did." Sko studied the creature a little longer and smiled, "I see. Zazir, I should've known." "You know this thing," Sedas said to Sko. "He was under me as a masprit. I couldn't recognize him before, too in shadow," Sko replied. 'No wonder he rebelled,' Nellms thoughtcast at Elaejia and Ias picked that up and Sko shuddered at it but didn't do anything. "I don't think we know about this dragon here," Nellms said coming up to Ias and looking upon Sedas. "Me? I have only but my life and travels to tell about," Sedas said looking at Zazir and moved a little aways. "Later later, we're long overdue to the way to meet Alvin," Ias said and moved to the nearest cave exit and picked himself up in the air and descended into it despite the calls from the others behind him. Ias descended fast and into a new open cavern which opened up smaller than the one above but with many openings. Ias went back up to the cavern and passed at the north ended one and passed level into another cavern of a larger size and even many more openings. Coming back up, Ias passed down into the easterly opening and found the same thing and again with the southern tunnel the same idea as the northern. "Even with the descent down to the lowest level it is still a tedious job finding the different places and the way to Alvin. Sidge I am incapable of foreseeing exactly which way it is to go to see Alvin. A good deal is at stake," Ias told sidge. "Even with the journey's that this world may provide, it still is part of a way to find out about this universe. It is a benefit to me," Sidge replied. "All the knowledge of the world? Sidge if you want to know what a handle on Synth is then I will be more than happy to show you. It contains knowledge far beyond what you do know," Ias responded crossing his arms at Sidge. "Still, there's Alvin Abernous, Ias," Sko said. "Who is at best an orthodox trained synthician? Formal training does not compare with my hands on training," Ias retorted. "In it's own degree Ias? Yes, it does not compare but neither does it make it any less equal or more equal for that matter in potency, " Sko replied. "It may take a lifetime, Sidge, to find Alvin Abernous, the elders will not put forth any information to help," Ias addressed sidge once more. "Then let us not find Alvin, let us find out these worlds," Sidge responded. "A lifetime and a half, so be it," Ias said sighing and headed off north down the tunnel and into the cavern with not stalagities, just smooth even slippery rock and all along the walls starting at the entrance and ending at it were openings. "How will we ever?" Sedas said coming in and looking at the cavern and the openings. "Patience, and that which is wearing thin with me," Ias replied and went toward the nearest opening and stopped. Sidge came into the cavern and Ias looked at him, Sidge nodded and Ias went into the cave. Immediately he was falling through the sky downward. He initiated flight and floated away and found a floating piece of land so landed on it. "At last I am alone. Phew... they all keep on yapping and yapping. I grow old of it," Ias said aloud and looked around. He was on a piece of land that was caked with trees and thick brush. When he tried to move, briars snatched his robe and immediately receeded. Ias nodded at his robe reflecting at least the potency of it preceeded. He moved back to his dimension he created. He wondered where this Alvin Abernous was and it made him ever more desire to confront him to please Sidge. He created an Incarnate of Sidge and spoke to it, "All I ever wanted to do was touch it," and he gave the Sidge clone a slap on the belly. It immediately turned and pounced by Ias moved and immediately destroyed it. He figured it was only a matter of time before Sko found him and just as the thought passed his mind he saw a shimmer in the air before him and there he was. Ias raised his hand at Sko who tilted his head to his side. "I've come to my end, Sko. Don't start with it. I need a diversion but but I can engineer it now. And before you protest I am going to see Alvin and beat the living piss out of him if he lets me. I need the elders to tell me or I will find it myself." "They will, they will eventually at least," Sko said rolling his eyes and throwing up his hands letting them drop to his sides. Ias took out a piece of paper and a pen and started writing while speaking what he wrote, "This is how I do it Sko. I write. I can summon my powers to my fingertips but I write still I've always liked it, writing to amuse myself and writing to help me cope with no friends. Yet she, the writing mentor, she is just about my most capable friend. I've had some scuples with her but I've always came back. Yes, a coping mechanism, haven't we all them. But I will do it my way, the mentors gave these things to me and tell you to tell me what to do with them. I hope that I don't ever become one for it will become different under my vision. I will be my own self, that's what being an outcast and being picked on has made me all the more passionate about. I will be Ias, and how I am was and will be. Mellowed out, pah, even higher up. Abuse my power or conserve it. I am just fed up with the formalities. You want me to go to Alvin, he is probably as formal as they come. Teach me how to write right, will he. Teach me how to work my powers. I hope that I can't run circles around him or I am going to be sorely dissapointed Sko. Take this to the mentors. Let them hear it." Ias folded the piece of paper into an airplane and let it sail through Sko but it did not come out the other side and Sko dissapeared taking it with him. Ias put his head in his hand and shook it. He wrote up summons for the com screen liberally there in his dimension and the letters turned gold lifting off the paper vanishing. An image appeared before Ias and Ias wiped it away. Sko appeared again and Ias turned to him, "The elders still say no, they will not allow the revelation of where each cavern leads. They believe that while you may not get to Alvin in Sidge's Lifetime, you will get the needed excursions and be able to well vary your powers. Realize that there are more eliusers than you. You can sense them, especially when they are of a lower level or don't have their guard up, Ias. Oh, and Karen Kavenshire said to take some readings and she enjoys looking in on your library. She suggested some additions and will put them on your desk." Sko blinked out with a smirk. Ias shrugged, he pondered and came to the conclusion that it would not be bad, it was just pondering about Alvin that put him on edge. He realized about other eliusers though, being even worse off than Alvin. Ias hoped it was worth it and that he wasn't going just to be intimidated. He'd not went out on all wildernesses, just an island wilderness living on the heights of the volcano that made it and hoping to small islands around it, few and far between they were. He'd never really explored terrain though he'd made a liking to animals. He moved back down to the caverns and the cave he had stepped into making the others jump. "We'd thought something happened, Sir," Gesh reported. "Honestly, I will plea with my creations here, there's dangers in all these worlds, I'd hate to lose you and I can despite my protections. For one, that world was floating islands in the sky, if you cannot fly I will have to make you," Ias replied looking at Sidge. "Fine with me," Sidge replied. Ias moved into the crevice again and was back into the world of floating Islands, he righted himself floating in the air amidst the clouds and islands making Sidge and Gesh able to float as well. Sidge though flapped his wings anyways so Ias turned to him, "I will help you learn after I get a feel of this world." "You mean we," Elaejia said coming up to Sidge with Nellms on the other side. Ias looked around and saw that Sedas moved still quite a distance from a dejected looking Zazir. The new masprit floated up to Ias as Gesh flew past doing backstrokes in the air. Ias ignored Zazir advancing and extended his awareness and feelings out all around him like tentacles flowing through the air encircling the world. He felt the air all around and then flowed his awareness drifting over the surface. The world was indeed even more breathtaking than Ias first thought when he arrived. There was a wide surface at the end of the sky below that didn't have any major oceans but had lakes and streams all manner of creatures he found and then he stopped as he hit a flux of power, "Oh I found one," Ias said smiling. "One of what," Gesh said coming close with Zazir right aside him. Ias paused for a moment coming closer to detail to the being until he felt he was right there with it, "An Eliuser, it's a gryphon with blue feathered wings, highly shiny, and the rest is white fur, white feathered head. The wind makes it stand out. The name..." Ias was not taken back by not being able to perceive the creatures name, he was used to not being able. "Anymore," Nellms said coming closer. Ias returned to his awareness combing the land and found another quite soon, "A half human half bird, strange, I've never seen the form before, very near the harpies of fable yet this creature has wings for arms and talons for feet. Blue black hair, wearing a tunic and trousers." "Anymore," Ias heard Sedas say coming closer. Ias extended his awareness again and found a flux at first but it receded and he saw another, "A little fluxed, it is a red scaled dragon, fire breather, shiny scaled and preened." "Imagine that, a dragon Eliuser. Anyone else?" Sedas said. Ias looked back and moved his awareness on again coming close to completing his loop of covering the surface, "A human, dressed in robes of gold and red, it isn't me, this one is wearing a small crown, he is in a castle. Brown hair sleeked back, he almost seems evil and mischevious looking to me." Ias completed his loop and found no more but he had a mold of the planet in mind. "Well, how will we go about seeing if any one of them are Alvin?" Sedas said. "I will go myself, it would be wise not to let them know we are here, though they may be able to detect us invisible. I must not go with any of you, no offense. I must do this alone," Ias said and flew off concealing his form to others and settled down on the ground right before the gryphon making sure to tread lightly as well as land lightly. He followed the gryphon trampling through the countryside until it took flight and went up high to a nice sized chunk of land. Ias followed and gapped as he came up onto the top of the floating land and partook of many gryphons nesting amongst the trees there. Ias had only sensed the land and Eliusers, not the different aspects of organized species or other creatures. He followed the gryphon as it landed and several of the gryphons greated him one saying, "Gylash, welcome!" Ias stopped and went back up into the air at this and searched for the next creature, the half human half bird came into his perspective and Ias dived for it and came to a city floating upon one of the pieces of land in the air. Ias settled down amongst the houses and streets and homed in walking up to a small house and peeked in the window. He saw the creature moving for the door so went to one side and watched the creature move out and stop looking around then closing the door and taking off flight, landing a few streets away. Another red feathery winged creature after his own kind greeted him, "Good morning, Belet." Ias again flew up overhead and reoriented and found the dragon and did a double take as he felt the other Eliuser, the human right with it so Ias went in slowly not knowing what to expect and found them conversing so listened in, "Father is starting to suspect something Redegen. I may not be able to meet and talk later on, you know how our places and our own peoples don't mesh very well," The boy said. The dragon shook his head, "Someday they will see the light as the sun hits the lake. Then maybe our peoples will come to the sense that we could co-exist. Maybe then we'd not have all this turmoil, maybe then we could be free in our own lands. Though, Jyigo, I can't be sure, father wants to take our peoples to the star of fireclaw where all dragons have gone..." Ias left and flew back up at once rejoining the others and shaking his head he moved them all back to the caves. Then turning to the others sidge said, "Yes, this will take a while." "Time to fly?" Ias asked him. "Oh, okay," Sidge said and all who could fly minus gesh moved into the cave once more. Ias immediately caught flight and everyone else did except sidge, "Fan out your wings, catch the air!" Elaejia shouted after him. He did so and started gliding around. "Move your wings up and down, flapping, you get it!" Nellms called to Sidge glidin below and sidge obeyed flapping his wings. "Push the air," Sedas called. Sidge flapped his wings and started gaining height toward them, "Drift for a moment, don't tire yourself," Ias said. Sidge obeyed and continued flapping and drifting up and around and up till he was with them, "Nothing to it," Sedas remarked when he arrived. Ias moved them back to the caves, "Taking off is a little more difficult. We'll get to that later," Ias said and moved onto the next cave. He found himself standing on a flat of ice that extended into a snow flowing horizon so white it blinded Ias. The atmosphere was chilled cold and Ias had to put his hand inside his robe, that which started radiating heat immediately to counteract it. Ias immediately moved back to the caverns moving around to get the warmth in his hands back, "Sheesh it's cold there." "I don't think I want to go then," Sedas said. Ias went into the third cave over and found the same atmosphere, the difference was in the landform that was rocky and steep with mountains all around. "I hope all these places aren't all like that," Ias commented upon returning and finding the fourth cave in, entered it. As the world came into focus his felt felt on fire and he looked down to see himself sinking into molten lava. The pain started to numb his senses so that while he wanted to react he couldn't, then his robe became stinging cold and Ias seized the opportunity, his senses returning, to teleport back to the Pranoke Caverns falling down on the floor convulsing from the sense blinding mind numbing pain he felt in his feet and looking down immediately winced and jerked himself back as his feet were burnt black. "Oh Ias," Elaejia roared and everyone rushed over to him and got down beside him, Ias reached out his shaking hands trying to steady it but to no avail so he brought up his other hand with his rod in it and layed down the hammer end of it to his feet letting out a cry as the act caused pain to shoot from his foot. Then he felt an icy feeling from his hammer staff and the pain in the foot receeded. Ias felt his convulsing halving so tried to pick up the staff but it felt like a piece of lead weight and he dropped it. Then desperately he moved it over with his other foot until the head rested on it and then collapsed fully as the coolness from the hammer staff starting welling through his body. Ias woke up in his bed in his study sitting up quickly and looking out the window. He didn't ache but his feet were hot and drawing his hand across his forehead he tooking some dripping sweat off. "Oh Ias!" Ias looked over beside his bed and Sidge was there. "Sidge," Iaa muttered. "We brought you back up, you'd passed out. Sko said you were going to be alright as you healed yourself in time," Sidge said getting up and moving his neck and head out toward Ias. "Thank you," Ias said and tried to wiggle his feet. He found he could move them but they were a little numb and warm. "How are you feeling?" Sidge said looking at Ias's feet as he moved them. "Burnt Sidge," Ias said moving to sit at the edge of his bed chuckling. "Ias?" Sidge said getting up. "I'm alright," Ias said putting his feet down on the floor. He still couldn't feel his feet very good so stopped for a moment. "That world was lava ridden," Ias said. "No wonder," Sidge replied examining his feet. "Plat, right into it when I entered the cave," Ias said inching his feet toward the ground. "No, Ias. I'll carry you," Sidge said moving closer to the bed. "Sidge?" Ias said looking at him directly in his eyes but his gaze was settled so Ias moved back on the bed and Sidge moved himself right next to it. Moving his one leg over Sidge's back Ias was on top of sidge putting his legs right in front of Sidge's wings. Sidge righted himself and moved forward a little bit and stopped, "Situated?" Ias inched forward a little bit toward his upper back, "Okay." Sidge was off moving toward the lift and inside it. "Have you figured out the lift controls, Sidge?" Ias asked. "No, I have been up here, and you have teleported me around before," Sidge replied. "Oh course," Ias said and moved to get off and touch the colored stones sticking out of the lifts back wall. "No, no you don't. Tell me how to do it," Sidge protested moving slightly so Ias couldn't touch ground. "Those stones partruding from the wall in various colors. They represent each floor. Where has everybody been since I been out, by the way?" "You've been out for at least a day, We've all split up and investicated the rest of the cavern..." Sidge started to say. "You what!" Ias started almost slipping off of Sidge's scaly back. Sidge moved accordingly replying, "Don't worry, there's no need to get startled, Ias. There was one iffy world on fire but you're protections kept us from harm." Ias sighed replied relaxing a little bit in his seat but said nothing in reply, he actually felt moved by this, deeply grateful, he almost felt a tear come to his eye, a mix of joy along with other feelings. "Which one? The bottom?" Sidge asked moving a talon to the bottom stone that patruded colored black. "Yes," Ias said softly. Sidge touched it and it moved inward, Immediately Ias felt a drop, as the wall in front closed, and he was lifted slightly from his seat. "Thank you sidge," Ias said. Sidge moved his head and craned his neck to look at Ias, his gaze was deep and Ias felt it penetrate him, "You're welcome. Ias felt a slight pickup which put him back on his seat. The wall ahead of them opened and the central cavern opened up in front of them once more as well. Sidge immediately left the lift and moved to the north cavern. Everyone was waiting there even Redalis and Vigaush. It was too much, with Ias seeing them all there after what Sidge said, they'd helped him out, he'd never given them a chance before to do it but they came at once and helped him. "You had me worried, Ias. I only got there just after you touched the lava," Sko said coming to him from above them. When everyone saw him there they immediately rushed over surrounding Sidge, "Sheesh, Ias," Vigaush called fluttering up to his shoulder nipping at his ear. Redalis as well hopped up onto his leg and curled up against his side, "Oh, Ias." Zeck and Slas scrambled up onto Sidge and came to his sides as well with Slas near knocking Redalis off. "Glad to see you," Ias said choked a bit by everyone's response. "You see. Look at em'," Sko whispered in his ear. "Yes," Ias whispered batting him away but passing through him. Ias spotted his hammer staff still lying on the floor, "The thing is tailored to you, Ias. I couldn't even pick it up without it hurting me," Gesh said standing at Sidge's front let hands behind his back. Ias beckoned it to him with a thought and gesture and it flew up to his hands. "Thank you, all," Ias rasped, a few tears moving across his eyes, looking down, he cleared his throat. "After what happened to you, you'd think we would be shied away from trying out the caves, but no," Nellms said to Ias's right. "Sko?" Ias asked looking back at him. Sko nodded smiling, "Yes, i've been watching them, Ias. The elders didn't say either way so I took the liberty." "Sko..." Ias trailed of and shrugged sitting up causing Redalis almost to fall again. "We just got done with Alterr, Ias," Zazir said appearing beside Sko. Ias was interested now, "My home world, Alterr, how do you know?" In response Zazir lounged in the air laying back with his hands behind his head, "Reconnaisance orders from Sedas. I mean we can't use your Masprits with out your orders." Sedas shied away at her mentioning, "He's good, ugh, I admit it." Ias beamed at them all, "You all have done so good. How about we take a midterm?" "What what is that?" Redalis said standing up and placing her feet on Ias's right side ribcage. "You all take a break," Ias leant his head and told Redalis moving to get off. "NO!" Everyone protested moving in to stop him. Ias stopped and sat back up, "Why?" "You're feet are still tender from the incident, you won't be able to walk," Sko said. Ias in response touched the staff head to each of his feet and they each glowed silvery for a moment and Ias felt the numbness fade away slowly, "Now they're not." "But Ias, we're on a role," Vigaush chirped in his ear. Ias turned his head and looked at Vigaush and at everyone else, their gaze was unmoving so Ias threw up his hands, "Okay then, to the east caverns." They moved on back to the central cavern and into the eastern cavern, it was much smaller than the north, "All masprits be on watch over these," Ias said and his masprits appeared in the cavern. Sidge stood there and Ias watched as all but Sko and Sidge split up and moved to the different openings in as equal numbers that was possible, four at four openings and three at the last one to Ias's left, then the masprits joined in two per opening. "Be careful," Ias said as they starting moving into the caves and vanishing. Sidge laid down on the ground slowly sighing. Ias remarked, "Sidge, I am really thankful that you were watching over me." Sko cleared his throat so Ias addressed him, "And you too, Sko, I assume that you were there too." "Thank you and yes I was, you are my charge," Sko replied. Sidge craned his neck and looked at Ias, "After what we did the other day, I felt compelled not to leave you especially." "The combining?" Ias asked tilting his head at Sidge craned himself closer as well and slowly but surely Ias laid down on Sidge's back and Hugged him around his upper back sprawling out and relaxing on the warm Dragonesk body of sidge beneath him. "Yes," Sidge said laying his neck and head down in front of him. "Hmmmph. I don't think anyone would want to mess with the dragon's charge," Sko remarked. Sidge chuckled and his body shook beneath Ias. Ias didn't smile at first but laid his head to one side across Sidge and hearing the air move in and out of his chest as he breathed. Ias relaxed his hug on Sidge's back and felt suddenly tired, but at secure on the back of Sidge, and before long he drifted off to sleep.
