The parent could not adapt or chose little to attempt dual integration with their son or daughter, thus a divide of understanding is brought between both.\n\nThey try to grow crafty, create counter devices that lock out access to televisions, phones and computers. Absence does not create unity, it simply proves fear of the unknown, and the most primal of choices: Destroy the things we cannot understand or adapt to. We cannot cry out that our society is in ruins and then roam the streets not making eye contact with people. We are social things, and we deny ourselves the ability to socialize simply because we place ourselves in the corner, apathetic and already assuming there is nothing to be done.\n\nYet there is everything to be done, and most importantly it begins with action rather than simply reaction. Resignation is the choice of limitation, and there are many factors to be discouraged about, but if we are so disposed to reclaiming a faction of our understanding, we must too grow, no matter the age or experience, to reach our arms out in turn.
