  "description": "this is kind old but i forgot to upload it.  this is my dude Reave, who is a felhound/hellhound of my own creation\ntotally named him after that fancy pants from fable III\n\nadmittingly totally inspired by the falmer in skyrim.. they are my favorite enemies in the game.\n\n\"[i]native to dark, moist caverns; felhounds have especially adapted to living in the dark. coming from an unknown species of cursed carnivore that has long been extinct, a few had fled to the darkest depths of the earth. a place simply known as the 'The Void'. over time their fur had shed and their now soft - but clammy - skin absorbs additional oxygen for these amphibious creatures to ensure their survival. being semi-aquatic, they are also fantastic swimmers and with opposable thumbs on all fours makes bolting through the dungeon-like caverns a breeze. long ears are adapted to pick up the smallest of sounds, as well as the sensitive creases on the pads of their feet not only aid them in climbing but can help sense movement. much like bats, they use echolocation to hunt the small cave creatures and to communicate. \ntechnically they live in one large clan, but these territorial creatures split up in small groups(usually with just their mate and pups) and stake claim to a chamber. they have all but one or two pups at a time which most of which are born stillborn. fortunately for this hellforged creatures, placing them in a water source will usually do the trick to kick start them back up. both parents regurgitate blood for them to feed all up until they are ready to go out and hunt themselves.\n\nbut being banished to such a dark world came at a price - as they are blind down here and bats and snakes cannot fulfill their hunger and their oddly specific source of actual hydration - blood. when the sun diminishes for the night, the pack gets together to climb out from the void to hunt where a little vision comes back to them but its still of little use to them even out here. they mainly hunt deer, rabbit, livestock, other monsters - basically anything that can provide them with a source of blood. however that is not their only diet - just the most necessary- as they will still eat most of the carcass. \n\nsome adventurous ones have left the crowded caverns, which can be tricky for such a creature that has evolved underground. in the sun, they burn. they don't burst into flames, but easily succumb to skin diseases. if a felhound enjoys the daylight, he will have to seek out water sources to hydrate his skin, and will happily roll in muck and mud to keep his skin hydrated and healthy. they can live without water as long as they are feeding on enough blood to sustain them, but its an itchy, dry, flakey life thats just generally uncomfortable. they are resistant to cold temperatures, but will easily succumb to the desert heat of the day. they also do not get ticks or fleas, but it isn't uncommon for them to be infested with leeches. \n\nthey are surprising intelligent enough to have their own language and the ability to mimic others. with the help of thumbs, they seem to have a thing for literacy and arts. their markings are not natural, but painted on as both a sign of shame and betrayal as i reminder why there will banished, and sophistication. it is unusual to see on without markings as that is an offensive sign of ignorance, but mainly the ones without them are considered feral felhounds. they do not take park in their language and are lacking the intelligence, living only on instinct but they still mingle with each other for the benefits of breeding, hunting and protection. basically, they use their feral counterparts as slaves.[/i]",
