Markus and Julien sit in the back of their new foster dads' car, listening to their new parents talk about how lovely their bedrooms are and how much they hope the boys will enjoy their new home. The fox brothers are nervous, and hold hands as they wait to arrive at their new home. Their new dads, a hippo couple named Brian and Steven, seem very kind and excited to have them. They'd all met on several occasions before, been out and about and generally got to know one another; this was different, though. This was the boys' new life. Brian practically hung from Steven's arm as the duo showed the boys their new home. They walked all around the lower floor, seeing a huge and sparkling kitchen with an adjacent dining room. The television in the sitting room was huge, and the furniture was so soft and plush it felt like a mini movie theater. Upstairs was cozy, and the boys' rooms were right next to each other with an adjoining door. "How about some lunch?" Brian asks as the boys shyly follow him about. Steven is already in the kitchen, hard at work making several dishes at once. "I hope you boys like to eat! You certainly won't be going hungry here, haha." The boys just stood there, looking dumbfounded. Markus's jaw was hanging slack in awe as he gazed at all the tasty-looking eats that Steve had already prepped for pre-lunch snacks. He couldn't believe the sheer amount of things available to them - they were used to simple, basic meals. At six years old he showed a modicum of restraint, and hesitated. Julien, only two, slid into a chair and immediately pulled a plate toward him. The brothers ate for ages, snacks and treats at first and then multiple courses of the most delicious lunch they'd ever eaten. Brian and Steven were rather large around the middle, even for hippos, but it was clear that they intended the boys to never go hungry. The food never seemed to end, submarine sandwiches with loads of meat and cheese, piles of ravioli, bowls of delicious pudding and jello. Macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs, steamed rolls with butter and jam. "We weren't sure what you liked, so we decided to make a variety for you!" Brian asked nervously. The boys smiled up at him, their cheeks packed full of delicious food. "It's awesome!" Markus said. "So good!" Julien added. They all laughed, the nerves finally lifting as they bonded together at the table. "So, is there anything specific you'd like more of?" Steve asked. The boys looked at each other, then back out over the sea of plates still waiting to be picked clean. "All of it!" They said in unison. After lunch the four of them settled on the couch, each seat fully reclinable, and watched a bunch of awesome movies. Steve kept the popcorn and sweets coming, never hesitating to quell even the mildest craving either boy had. There were even video games, to the boys' delight. As the first day turned into their first night in the new home, the boys dozed with full, bloated bellies after absolutely stuffing three courses of dinner and double desserts into their faces. The boys groaned, their bellies unused to being so absolutely full. Brian cooed and gently rubbed Julien's stomach, the poor boy's belly aching from being so overfilled. "Is that better, honey? Did we overdo it this time?" Julien shook his head, seemingly eager to avoid blaming the excellent dinner. "No Brian," the younger fox cub stammered. "I just... I just ate too fast, that's all!" "Oh, I seeee," Brian sighed with relief. "Well, we'll just have to massage this achy belly until it's all better, then, won't we?" As time went on, it became clear that those first meals were the norm in the hippos' household, and the brothers quickly acclimated to eating hippo-sized portions. Markus adapted more quickly, and though Julien eventually got better at eating large quantities of food without his belly aching, he still asked Brian to rub it after every meal, since it felt so good. Their happily full bellies became fuller and fuller, filling their shirts and then eventually peeking out the bottom. As weeks turned into months, love handles drooped heavily on their sides and their thighs grew closer and closer until finally touching. The boys were positively plump, their stomachs never empty and their shirts overfull with soft, foxy-furred boy blubber. Their faces, which they stuffed non-stop, grew rounder and rounder, their chins multiplying and their chests bloating outward with soft fat. Eventually they outgrew plump and encroached well into obese territory, their bellies hanging down to their knees, their legs spread into wide splits by their own fat, and their previously graceful strides replaced with laborious waddles to and from the kitchen. They outgrew clothing at an alarming rate, and as they began to grow winded just from standing, let alone the short waddle to the fridge and back, their dads decided maybe for now the boys could go without new shirts for a couple days. Those days turned into weeks and then months, Markus and Julien clearly comfortable with lounging in nothing but their undies while their legs stuck out over the edge of the couch cushions, spread apart by their large bellies as their plump backsides filled their seats. They ate and ate and ate, two ever-hungry little fox cubs. Brian and Steven fed them more and more. They encouraged their appetites, convinced that a fed boy is a healthy boy. The two hippo dads deeply loved their hippo-sized fox sons, even as the two fat boys grew so large that their undies fell to tatters. The boys' immense weight was simply proof of their daddies' love for them, of the hippos' commitment to feed and provide for their boys. Two fox cubs who used to be slender and somewhat hungry, orphaned and alone in the world. The dads had taken them in, given them everything, and that shining love was apparent in the way each boy needed help standing and waddling, their hugely burgeoning bellies gurgling constantly even as they feasted, their backsides outgrowing the couch and their knees starting to ache if they stood for a little too long. They each weighed more than their dads, and were so big around the two men couldn't wrap their arms all the way around either boy when hugging them. But that was fine. As Steven showed the delivery men where to set up the two new bariatric beds, he and Brian looked at each other and smiled. As they helped the boys into their new reinforced beds, they made the commitment to feed and love the fox cubs more than ever as they adjusted to life without mobility. And the boys, happy, well cared for, and thoroughly fed, thanked their awesome dads for their brand new, comfortable beds. And then asked when third lunch would be ready.
