Each comic page represents 10 hours of work, on average. This includes drawing, inking, and colouring. We normally charge only between $50-$60 per commissioned page (this means we are only being paid $5-$6 for each hour of work). Interesting projects, like the one we are trying to do now, are always put on the waiting list due to a lack of time or a sponsor (commissioner). However, this time we are doing an experiment. In order to raise funds for the costs of comic production, and at the same time release a comic for free distribution to the public, we are asking for you, the fans, to donate any amount you wish (starting with a minimum of $2). We will release 2 new pages each $100 we will get... (equals to $50 per page)\n\nAnd to make this process totally transparent, we will publish a public list of donors at http://www.palcomix.com/rr5donors.html, where your nickname (or simply the nick 'anonymous' if you wish) will appear with each amount donated. If this idea works and we can get the funds fast enough, we can make even more projects like this one, and the site can gain more interesting projects at a faster rate of updating.
