Sheep's Clothing A wayward Wolf in need of dashing dress, 'Twas from a faithful flock he fleeced some tress. Escape unwatched, with ease he could egress, And yet a yen compelled him to confess. With pilfered wool in paw he did profess, His solemn shame the Shepherd did impress. Alas his sins could not be cleansed—unless, To proper penance Wolf did acquiesce. And soon he found himself in strange undress, While Shepherd did his entrance knot ingress. Three times the Wolf his pleasure did express; 'Twas safe to say to theft he did regress. -Charles Michael Averin
