The Devil's Machine I write this with such tremble. My mind is shattered and my body shakes from fear. I remember what I saw... Every detail... It was a day like any other. A time for me and the missus to leave the safety of our home to attend a feast. This feast was among the high council, a gathering of individuals of great importance. The food was good and the night went well. My wife went off to the restroom for a second, to which I excused kindly. A high council member invited me for a drink of red wine on the balcony. He spoke to me about his job, which was an interesting job to say the least but nothing of my time unfortunately. He then turned the conversation over to my job. I spoke highly of it for a time and how my wife supported me on every turn of events that occured. The member chuckled light heartedly before leading me back inside. For a time, I thought he might be examining me, though I shrugged it off as a minor case of paranoia. Another case was that some of the council members had suddenly disappeared from the table. I imagine they just left for night so I thought nothing of it. I decided to wait a while longer as my wife had not returned, which was strange. Feeling impatient, I stood up from the waiting bench and left to explore the mansion and to find my wife. Normally I would never invade her privacy, but in this case I had. When I asked one of the maids if they had seen my wife anywhere, they remained silent, but I could see guilt in their eyes. Feeling ever growing worry keep up on me, I hastened my pace to find my wife. I came across a door I swear I had not seen before. Thinking no one would notice, I crept into the door and was immediately horrified by what I saw. A machine unlike any I've seen. Blowing steam, loud working gears that somehow no one was hearing, and on a table were a multitude of buttons and levers. But the worst part... The worst part was the machine held... I couldn't believe it... The machine was eating...US! I vomitted at such a sight. The blood spilling into jars as if it were jam, bodies turned into raisins... "Want to see how it works?" I heard before I was electricuted into unconciousness. When I came to, I found myself strapped into the works of the machine. The council member with whom I spoke to earlier laughed as he noticed me awake. I wretch at his sight, a disgusting creature to be hold. A machine of sheer terror being his creation. Disgusting beyond the word's definition. Without even a look of remorse, the man I thought as my friend pulled a lever and I was taken toward the machine. I could feel it now. The sheer pain everyone else to feel before me. The evil machine, with metal claws, grabbed my wings first. They pulled hard and ever so harder as I began to hear bones breaking. I screamed in terror as I felt the skin slowly rip apart and then my wings detach from my body. The feathery appendages that enabled me flight hung in front of me as if the machine was taunting me, making me angry. Yet, the worse was yet to come. Another claw now grabbed my horn with much greater tightness. I tried to avoid this, but to no avail. The claw started pulling my horn. As it did, I swear I felt my spine twitch and spaz uncontrolably. If the machine pulled any harder, my head and spine would be pulled off. I tried to fight it, but... I couldn't. I screamed in terror as my horn was ripped off, leaving my head to bleed gushes of red. I was light headed, yet still concious somehow. My wings and horn were gone, tears dripping from my eyes. My strength was long gone. Then came the torturous part. The so called friend I had watched as two walls of spikes slowly started coming at me. My arms felt poked before my body succumbed to the increasing pressure crushing me. Yet, I was able to witness it... My blood was pouring falls of blood from the gaps made by the spikes. By this point I would bleed out and die, but I wouldn't. Why!?! A jar was below me, getting filled up with blood until I could supply no more. I was out, yet I was still watching what was to happen to me next. By this point, anyone would've died by now, but I wasn't. The machine took me to the last part of this Hell, the furnace. Without warning, I was dropped into it. Once I landed, I screamed as loud as I could as I burned to death, my eyes melting along with my skin, bones and existance. Everything faded out. I woke up immediately in a panic, my wife beside me, hugging me, trying to comfort me. She explained I was having a nightmare, yet to me, it felt so real. My wife suggested I just stay in bed and rest up a bit, to which I made no complaints to. Yet, I was never able to go to sleep without witnessing that dream ever. - Prince High Score, Lavious Kingdom
