"description": "Here's some phase-by-phase pictures from one of my old TF comics. I'll copy/paste my old cringey description from 2012 here~\n\n-\n\nFor no reason whatsoever, here's a look into the \"magic\" that is how I clumsily hammer these pages together like so much scrap metal! Uploaded into my scraps section so that only dedicated watchers like you will see it, you champions of good taste! You captains of excellence! This is no tutorial or anything, I just felt like rambling.\n\nA. It's important to know what you're trying to do before you\nbegin, so it's always helpful to do a crude sketch of your page layouts so you know what goes where.\n\nB. Now for the hard part, actually drawing the damned thing! Do it with a light pencil, so that sketching over or erasing your many mistakes is easier!\n\nC. Now, when it comes to coloring, this next part is crucial. Ink over your lines with a micron pen (or something)! This will make it so that your unnecessary lines will not be seen, and give you easily selectable areas to fill in with flat colors later.\n\nD. Photoshop time. First, adjust the levels slider to make the lineart as dark as it needs to be, and slide the other end up to make those ugly sketch lines disappear.\n\nE. Flat coloring is easily the most tedious part. If you ink like I do, you can use magic wand to hit most of the areas without painstakingly using the lasso, but you'll still need to go over the drawing inch by inch to make sure you don't miss anything. Color the background with different layer so it's easier to edit later.\n\nF. Now I attempt to make shading so my flat, featureless art appears to have some sort of texture! I use a brush or airbrush to try and hit the areas that should be darker, and set the opacity of that layer to about 40% or so. Doing this properly can make the difference between a good page or a ugly page.\n\nG. Then you throw in dialog balloons, text, and any other effects I can muster to make my bad art look halfway-decent! But all this stuff is kinda it's own thing to explain...\n\nNow do this about five to nine times and you might have yourself a decent comic!
