There will be talk of cub pregnancy. If these things offend you then this story is not for you. There is also odd magic implications involved in this story. You have been warned\n\n\n\tZen woke up feeling uneasy. He knew what he had to do. The decision was made. Zen would not allow anyone else to bear the burden he was faced with. Zen got himself up out of bed. He made his way to the dining room where Chaotic and Ruby were already up and making some breakfast. Chaotic took notice of Zen sitting down at the table. How are you feeling Zen? You don’t look like you’re ready to be out of bed yet. Zen shook his head. I’ve made my decision. I’ll be the one to save Black. I won’t make anyone else go through it. Ruby sat down next to Zen taking one of his hands. She looked him in the eyes before speaking. I’ll do it. I had all night to think about it. Zen looked down at the floor. I won’t let you. This is my problem. I’m not afraid of pain. It will be a lot to ask even after Black is born. I want things to be over with fast. With me doing this we only have a month and then we can get on with our lives. \n\n\tChaotic came to the table carrying a tray with 3 plates of food. He set a plates in front of Zen and Ruby. He then took the third plate and sat on the other side of Zen across from Ruby. Zen looked at the food in front of him. You guys have done so much for me. I can’t ask for any more. I won’t ask for more. I am the one who summoned Black and I will be the one to bring her into this world. Chaotic looked at Ruby and shook his head. Looks like he’s as stubborn as the two of us combined.\n\nRuby took a big bite of her food and pointed her fork at Zen. You listen here little pup. I’m not someone that starts a commitment and just bails on it. I didn’t tag along with you and our fire butt over there just for the hell of it. I came with to help you in any way I can. I’ve never met anyone with as much strength as the two of you. I can’t go back to being just some small town cop. I’m here and you can’t get rid of me now.\n\n\tZen shook his head. I’m not trying to get rid of you. I need you. This whole thing with Black isn’t something I’m going to be able to do alone. It’s just too much. That’s why I want to do this myself. That way I have you to help me through it. I won’t be able to help much if you were the one to take Black. Ruby gave a sigh and shrugged. There is no way to change your mind is there? Chaotic laughed. I’d be surprised if we could change his mind now that he has his decision. Ruby sighed in defeat. Things are going to get really crazy around here aren’t they? \n\n\tIt didn’t take long for everyone to eat their breakfast. After eating, everyone gathered in the master bedroom. They had to talk to Black about the decision Zen had made and make plans for the future. Once everyone was lying down and comfy Zen closed his eyes and held Chaotic and Ruby’s hands. As soon as everyone had relaxed they found themselves in Blacks room again. Black was sitting in the middle of the room again. She waved to the trio. When everyone was in the middle of the room with Black they sat down. Black looked at Zen. You look way to serious. Lighten up a bit.\n\n\tRuby let out a growl. How can you tell him to lighten up? He’s about to become a mom at 5 years old. Black shrugged. I’m not saying this isn’t a big deal, it is a really big deal. We have a lot to talk about. From what you just said I take it Zen wants to be the one to do this. Zen nodded. I’ll do it. I want to help you this time. It’s my problem and I’ll be the one to fix it. Black shook her head. If it were up to me I would just fade away, but since you are the master of our contract I can’t do that. Chaotic tilted his head. What do you mean the master of your contract? Black giggled. It’s exactly as it sounds. I gave Zen full control over our contract. He makes all the decisions. If he told me to go away I would have to do it. Since he doesn’t want me to go then I cannot go. However the way the contract was made makes it so Zen cannot place me in another host. In order to do that we would have to tweak the contract to allow it. Since Zen has decided to do this himself that saves us a step or two.\n\n\tChaotic looked shocked. Why would you give a cub so much control over you? Black shrugged. I’ve never met anyone with the kind of spirit or strength Zen has. I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She gave a slight chuckle. Looks like I got burned too. Ruby crossed her arms and glared at Black. Was it part of your plan to be given a new body? This whole thing is all too fishy if you ask me. Black started laughing really hard. You actually think I would let myself get this weak if I wanted to be born in your world. What would it accomplish? I won’t have any of my demonic powers left. The only thing I will have is my memories. The spell I am using to speed things up will use the last of my power. I’m going to make it so I will age faster too. I should catch up to Zen within a year. I can’t be any help to Zen if I’m a baby no can I? \n\n\tRuby looked at Chaotic. Can she actually do that? Chaotic nodded. She has all the knowledge of an arch mage. Time magic could do what she is talking about. Ruby rubbed her forehead. What’s an arch mage again? Black giggled looking around at everyone. It means I have mastered all the magic types. Ruby’s mouth dropped open. So you’re super powerful. Why would we want to give you a body to do as you please? Zen frowned. She won’t do anything bad. I won’t let her. Black nodded. Even after I have a body of my own and have lost all my demonic power Zen will still be my master. The contract we have will not go away that easy.\n\n\tRuby shrugged. Alright I give up. What does Zen have to do to get this over with? Black looked at Zen. For starters we will need a room to ourselves. You will want to put a barrier around the room. The power I will use is demonic in nature. If you don’t seal the room Ruby and anyone in the immediate area could get pregnant too. Chaotic nodded. I’ve dealt with demonic power before. I know a few sealing barriers that will work. Black nodded before continuing. Since this is a demonic magic, it’s going to be rough. If I could change the way the spell worked I would. You will likely feel like your body is being raped. Zen’s ears went flat to his head. So it will be like with those dark mages again? Black looked down and nodded. It’s the only impregnation spell I know of. It will work on any female or herm. It doesn’t matter how old they are. The spell will take a few hours to do its work. In that time you will need to be within the barrier Chaotic puts up. If you go outside the barrier Ruby could be affected by the spell. Zen nodded. No leaving the room after we start, got it.\n\n\tBlack looked over to Chaotic and Ruby. You two should not enter the room at all. Zen is not affected by demonic energy at all. I’m guessing you two don’t have that ability. Chaotic nodded. I’ll make sure no one enters the room. When did you want to get started? Black turned to Zen. What do you think? Zen fidgeted a little. I think we should do this tonight. The sooner we get it over with the better. Chaotic shrugged before nodding. Alright as soon as we are done here I will start making preparations for the barrier.\n\n\tRuby gave a sigh. I’ll have to give Dr. Realm and the school a call. They will need to be informed that Zen will not be starting school right away. Chaotic looked at black. Do you think you will have any demonic energy when you are born? Black shrugged. I don’t know. It’s possible I guess. Even if there were any left after this, staying close to Zen will purify the rest of it. Chaotic gave a sigh. Let’s hope there isn’t anything left. The hospital will check you. It won’t be good if you have even a hint of demonic power. Zen looked at Chaotic with worry. What will they do? Chaotic scratched the back of his head. I don’t know. There was a war 21 years ago that was started by demons being born into this world. They of course had a lot more demonic power.\n\n\tBlack nodded. I understand, I will have to try and use up as much as I can without destroying myself before I am born. Once I am in a developing body though I won’t be able to do much. We will just have to pray that I am completely purified before I am born. Zen turned to Black. Won’t that mean you had faded away? Black shook her head. No once I am in my new body my memories will be bound to that body. Demons are just dark souls that normally have no form. We are only given form when we possess someone or something. If we are born into this world we become something else. Those that keep their demonic power become dark beings that should not be in this world.\n\n\tZen nodded. We should start getting things set up for tonight. With that said the room faded away and the trio woke up in bed. Zen stretched. This should be an interesting day. Chaotic went to Zen’s room to set up the barrier while Ruby started making calls. She first called the school. They had all kinds of questions about why Zen wouldn’t be starting school right away. Ruby tried to answer without giving too much away. Once she was done talking to the school she hung up with a sigh. Zen looked at her with concern. Is everything okay? Ruby nodded. They didn’t like the idea of you starting a month late but they gave up and agreed. Now just to call Dr. Realm. I’m sure he is going to bite my head off too. Of course Dr. Realm wound up shouting. Zen could hear him as Ruby held the phone away from her ear. Finally Ruby started shouting back. LOOK I KNOW IT’S IMPORTANT FOR HIM TO START SCHOOL. WE WANT HIM TO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE IN TOWN BEFORE HE STARTS SCHOOL… IT IS NOT NEGLAGANCE. YOU HAVN’T SEEN WHAT HAPPENS WHEN HE IS OVERWELMED. Zen looked down. Ruby sighed. Sorry Zen I didn’t mean it that way. Yes Zen is right here. Alright I’ll hand him the phone. Zen was handed the phone. He put it up to his ear.\n\n\tZen was unsure of what to say as he began talking to Dr. Realm.\nDr. Realm: What’s this all about? In our last session you said you couldn’t wait to start school.\nZen: I’m just not ready. It’s hard to explain. There is a lot going on.\nDr. Realm: What do you mean? What’s going on that would make it so you can’t start school.\nZen: I don’t wanna talk about it with you. It’s really personal.\nDr. Realm: Personal? What you have going on personally that would interfere with starting school?\nZen: I don’t want to lose control again. Bad things happen when I do. That’s all I am going to say about it. Here’s Ruby.\n\n\tRuby took the phone from Zen. If there is nothing else I have things to do. Later we can talk more. Chaotic can talk to you with more details. With that said Ruby hung up the phone. She gave a big sigh. That could have gone better. She put the phone down and went to check on Chaotic. He was in Zen’s room drawing symbols on the walls, floor and ceiling. Ruby leaned against the door frame. That all looks complicated. Chaotic looked at her with a grin. I’ve had plenty of practice with these kinds of barriers. I haven’t told you or Zen but I was in the war 21 years ago. Ruby gasped. You were just 12 years old then weren’t you? Chaotic nodded. I was already a master of enhancing magic. I had the basics in elemental magic and sensory magic too. Barriers and seals were things you just had to know in order to fight the demonic hordes. I’m sure the barrier I am making here will do the trick.\n\n\tZen came to the door and peeked inside his room. How is everything going? Chaotic chuckled. I’m nearly finished. Zen nodded. I’m getting kind of hunger. When you are done in here can we have some lunch? Ruby chuckled. I’ll make you some sandwiches. Zen smiled as he followed Ruby to the kitchen. Ruby made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. With Zen’s appetite he would easily eat 6 sandwiches. In total Ruby made 10 sandwiches. 2 for her, 2 for Chaotic and 6 for Zen. Once everything was made Zen helped Ruby set some glasses and plates on the dining room table. Chaotic came into the dining room at the perfect time. Milk was just being poured and Zen as about to go fetch Chaotic for lunch. Chaotic spotted the big stack of sandwiches and chuckled. I see you are getting used to Zen’s appetite. Ruby grinned. I’m pretty adaptable. It’s not every day that you meet a little wolf pup that can eat more than an adult.\n\n\tZen sat down and took a bit of one of his sandwiches. It doesn’t seem to matter how much I eat. I’m hungry a little while after eating. Chaotic laughed. I bet it has something to do with the amount of energy your body has. More food would make more energy. Zen shrugged. I guess that makes sense. I enjoy eating too. The food you guys make is so good. Ruby chuckled. I’m glad you like our cooking. I hate to say it but I think Chaotic’s cooking is far better than mine. Chaotic grinned and looked Ruby in the eyes. You haven’t seen anything yet. I love cooking. I will have to show off a bit from time to time. Zen smiled. I look forward to that.\n\n\tThe smile left Zen’s face and he looked down. After tonight I will be even hungrier won’t I? Ruby put one hand on Zen’s shoulder. It’ll be okay. We will just have to keep a good stock of food in the house. Stuff you can get to easily whenever you get a craving or just get hungry. Zen tilted his head. What’s a craving? Ruby chuckled. It’s when you want something really bad. Lots of times cravings for odd foods happen when someone is pregnant. Zen looked puzzled. What kind of odd food? Ruby scratched her chin. I think my mom said she wanted pickle, banana, and peanut butter sandwiches when she was pregnant with me. There are also less odd cravings like ice cream or just things like meat or cheese. Who knows what you will want. Zen nodded. I think I understand.\n\n\tAfter lunch Chaotic took Ruby and Zen to the back yard. He had set up some small magic circles for practicing magic. Ruby was trying to learn the basics for enhancing magic. Chaotic proved to be a great instructor. Zen sat a short distance from Ruby and watched as she struggled with focusing her energy where she wanted it to go. She was trying to strengthen her right arm. Zen stood and walked into the circle with Ruby. Chaotic raised an eyebrow. What are you doing Zen? It’s not good to enter a magic circle that is active. Zen held out a hand to Ruby. She looked at him puzzled but he just smiled. Once she took his hand her arm lit up with enhancing magic. Zen had helped her focus just by touching her. When Ruby let go of Zen’s hand the magic in her arm faded a little but didn’t go away completely. She was now able to control her energy a little.\n\n\tRuby sighed and tried to relax. The light around her arm faded completely. Man that takes a lot out of me. What did you do there Zen. Zen gave a big grin. I just gave you a little nudge in the right direction. I could see where you energy was not flowing the way it should. I just helped the flow and you took care of the rest. Chaotic was shocked. He shook his head and approached the magic circle. I guess you could be a teacher yourself Zen. Seeing the way a person’s aura is acting and being able to help them like that is what teachers need.\n\n\tAfter a few more hours of practice the trio called it a day. It was nearing dinner time. Chaotic had decided to make a special meal for tonight. He made a quick grocery run and came back with some potatoes and ground meat. He washed and cut up the potatoes into bite sized chunks. He then cut up a few onions and put them in the potatoes. He then salted and peppered the potato and onion mix and mixed in some vegetable oil. Once the mix was ready Chaotic place it into a large cake pan. The oven was set to 350 degrees and Chaotic turned his attention to the meat. While the oven was heating he cut up another onion and placed it and the meat in a kettle. After breaking up the meat he lightly salted and peppered it. He also added some garlic to the meat. Zen scrunched his nose at the smell of the garlic. Chaotic laughed. Trust me it tastes better than it smells. Zen shrugged and continued to watch Chaotic cook. With the meat ready Chaotic placed it on the stove on a medium heat. He also covered the kettle. Turning to the oven Chaotic placed the potato mix in the now heated oven and put a timer for 30 minutes. \n\n\tWith that done a few canned goods were taken out. A large can of cream of chicken soup, mixed vegetables and chicken noodle soup. Zen tilted his head. What’s all that for? Chaotic chuckled. This will be the sauce for the potatoes. The chicken noodle soup is just for more flavor really. After the meat was browned Chaotic started adding the canned goods to the meat. Every so often he would open the oven and stir the potatoes so they didn’t stick to the pan. By now the house was filled with the smell of the cooking food. Zen’s stomach began to growl loudly. The sauce was now at a low boil. Chaotic went to the refrigerator and pulled out some cheese. He melted in a total of 12 slices of cheese making the sauce extra creamy. The timer on the oven had gone off signaling that the potatoes were done. \n\n\tEverything was removed from the oven and stove and placed on the table on some pot holders. The table was set and the trio sat down eyeing the food before them. Both Zen and Ruby’s mouths were watering. Chaotic quickly dished everyone up. Be careful this stuffs hot. Ruby nodded blowing on a chunk of potato covered in sauce. Once she took a bite her eyes went huge. She looked over to Chaotic. Holy crap, this stuff is great. Where did you learn to cook like this? Chaotic shrugged. I just watched when my mom and dad cooked. I don’t have any of their recipes I just go by what I can remember. Zen was taking large bites not bothering to cool the food off. Chaotic gasped. You’ll burn your mouth doing that. Zen shrugged. I can’t be burned remember. I’m just absorbing the heat I think. This food is too good. I can’t get enough.\n\n\tAfter everyone had their fill a quick bath was taken. Zen decided to take his bath with Ruby. Chaotic took a shower not wanting to have to wait again. This time however Zen didn’t fall asleep. He got out of the tub shortly after rinsing the soap from his fur. Once he was toweled off he made his way to his room where Chaotic was waiting. Chaotic looked at Zen and sighed. You sure you want to go through with this? Things won’t be easy and there is no turning back after it is done. Zen nodded. I’m not backing down now. I’ll be fine. It can’t be as bad as living with those mages for 3 years. \n\n\tChaotic lead Zen into the room. These symbols are drawn in chalk. Don’t touch them. They could wipe off easily and break the barrier. As soon as I close the door the barrier will activate. If you have to use the bathroom I would do it now. We don’t know how long that spell Black is going to cast will last. Zen nodded. I’m all set. Ruby came to the door. You sure you don’t want me to do this kiddo? Zen looked at her and shook his head. I’ll be the one to do this. After all this is done I’ll need your help to look after black while I’m at school. Ruby walked up to Zen giving him a hug. You’re acting so much older than you should. It’s not right for a cub to have to make these decisions. Zen shook his head. It’s nothing that special. I’m just returning the favor for Black. She saved me, now it’s my turn to save her. \n\n\tChaotic and Ruby looked at each other before leaving the room. Once the door closed the symbols in the room started glowing faintly. Chaotic spoke through the door. I’ll be waiting by the door till everything is done. You can start whenever you’re ready.\n\n\tZen sighed. He walked over to his bed and laid down. His focus went to Black. It didn’t take long for Zen to find himself in Black’s room. Black was waiting in the middle of the room. Zen approached her. Black turned to Zen with a smile. I think I may have a better way to do this. Well maybe not better but quicker anyway. Zen tilted his head confused. There is a quicker way to have a baby? Black laughed. I’m not talking about you having a baby. I thought of a spell that would get the job done tonight. Zen’s eyes went wide. What do you mean? Black’s grin widened. While you and the love birds were getting things ready I was here thinking. Then it hit me. I told you before that you can’t just make a body, but I was wrong. There is a spell that was meant to bring people back to life. It was a failure but I think it would work for us. Zen looked even more confused. Why would I want to bring someone back to life? Black chuckled. You’re not… well you are but all we really need is to make a body. To do this spell would be perfect. However the spell requires a massive amount of magic energy. But with you we don’t have to worry about that. \n\n\tZen sighed. Do I even have time to learn a spell like that? Black nodded. To learn it all I have to do is kiss you remember. I can teach you any spell with that method. Zen didn’t look convinced. But you said the spell was a failure right. What makes you think we can pull it off? Black grinned devilishly. Well the idiots that made the spell used it to construct a body. They were also using it to try and pull a soul from the afterlife. We don’t need to do that step. We have a soul to place in the body, mine. Zen still looked puzzled. What about the stuff to make a body? It’s not like we can just go out and buy random ingredients and peace one together. Even I know that. Black sighed shaking her head. It’s really simple, we need blood. Your blood is the key to making this work. Zen’s expression turned sour. How much blood? Black giggled. Oh come on you know you can’t die from blood loss. Your healing power will keep regenerating the blood that comes out of you. Zen sighed. This is going to hurt isn’t it? Black nodded. I think it will. I can’t say for sure though. I know anything that makes you bleed hurts. So I’m assuming this will hurt. Zen shrugged. Well if it will get this done tonight then let’s try it. Black looked Zen in the eyes. We get one shot at this. Same as with the other methods. And once we start we cannot stop. Zen nodded. Alright let’s learn a spell. \n\n\n\tWith that said Black came close to Zen and for the first time she kissed him. Zen’s ears laid back as the information flowed into his mind. For a moment his eyes turned jet black. He blinked a couple of times as Black took a step back. She smiled. That’s the last time I can touch you in this form. I’m all out of energy to manifest in a solid state. Even if it’s just in your mind. Zen’s eyes returned to normal. He shook his head and tried to collect his thoughts. This spell sounds risky. Are you sure this is the best option we have? Black nodded. I like doing things the quick way. We can both start school together using this method. Zen smiled. Alright I’ll get this spell started then.\n\n\tZen woke up from his dream state and jumped out of bed. Once in the middle of the room he closed his eyes and started the spell. All gates open. His body glowed bright as the energy began surging through his body. He then held both hands out and a grand array began to form in light. It was much smaller than the one Black had made for the seal but it was just as powerful. Zen began floating above the array. Cuts formed on both is arms and blood flowed out and began pooling in the air beside him. Zen winced as he felt the pain but even as a large amount of blood left his body he didn’t sick bad at all. \n\n\tChaotic had started pounding on the door asking what was going on. Zen had to concentrate. He could not answer any questions now. The pool of blood was slowly taking shape. At first it just looked like a blob with nothing to it. But soon it took a more familiar shape. 2 legs 2 arms a head and a tail. Blood was still flowing from the cuts in Zen’s arms. Soon it looked like something was floating in the blood bubble. There were specks of white forming. The specks grew in size and slowly took on the form of bones. There was now a bloody skeleton floating next to Zen. Soon vanes started forming, then organs and muscles. Zen was a little grossed out by what he was seeing. But finally skin started forming. This whole proses took hours. By the time fur had covered the new body Zen could hardly stay upright. His bleeding had stopped. Zen had stopped floating as the array’s light faded. He walked over to the body he had just created and gave it a kiss. A surge of energy flashed from Zen to the new body. Both Zen and the body fell to the ground. \n\n\tChaotic barged through the door. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. There on the floor sat 2 wolves. Identical twins save for the fur color. Zen of course was all white. The new wolf was all black. It twitched a few times before gasping and sitting up. Holy crap it worked. The voice was a dead giveaway. Black had a brand new body. She turned to Zen. He wasn’t moving at all. Black rolled Zen onto his back and put her ear to his chest. She gave a sigh of relief. He just passed out. Chaotic walked over to Black and Zen. What the hell did you do? I thought the house was going to fall down. Black shrugged. It was a resurrection spell. We tweaked it a bit. Looks like it worked just fine.\n\n\tRuby ran into the room but stopped dead in her tracks. What the hell… am I seeing double? How the hell are there 2 of you now? Black chuckled It’s a long story. I’m tired and hungry though. And Zen isn’t going to be waking up any time soon. He used more energy that he has ever used. 50 times more than when that town was blown away. Chaotic looked shocked. I thought that all of his power escaped when that happened. Black shook her head. That explosion was just like the pressure release valve being opened. Just a little bit came out. Well enough about that though. We need to get Zen in bed. And if I could… think I could get a bit to eat?\n\n\tChaotic walked over and picked Zen up taking him to his bed. Once Zen was in bed, Chaotic led Black to Zen’s dresser. He grabbed her some underwear and one of his shirts that Zen had used as pajamas before. Once Black was dressed, she went to the kitchen to find Chaotic. He dished up some of the leftovers from dinner. After heating the food in the microwave he placed it at the table for Black. Black smiled as she hopped up in the chair. Thank you so much. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to eat food again. She took a bite and her eyes started tearing up. This is really good. Chaotic chuckled. Why are you crying? Black wiped her eyes but the tears didn’t stop. I’m just so happy. I never thought I would fell this again. \n\n\tAfter finishing her food Black hopped out of her chair and ran over to Chaotic. He was just on the other side of the table. He was shocked as Black jumped and wrapped him in a hug. What’s all this for? Black smiled as she nuzzled against Chaotic. I can’t thank you enough. You could have destroyed me the first time you saw me but you didn’t. Chaotic chuckled. If I had done that, Zen would never trust me. I would never do anything to hurt him or you. We should get you to bed though. Ruby walked over to the table. Are you going to sleep with Zen tonight? Black nodded. I don’t want to leave his side till he wakes up. Chaotic and Ruby both chuckled. Alright we will see you in the morning. Black gave Ruby a hug before running back to Zen’s room. She climbed into bed pulling the covers over both her and Zen. With a peck on the cheek Black said good night. She was quick to drift off to sleep. \n\n\tChaotic and Ruby both peaked in on the sleeping cubs. They both smiled seeing Black and Zen sleeping peacefully. Ruby turned to Chaotic with a grin. How much you wanna bet the cops show up asking about the quake that came from this house? Chaotic chuckled. He started walking toward the master bedroom. Ruby followed. Come on no bets? Chaotic gave a sigh. They will stop by in the morning I’m sure. This got a whole lot more complicated. Ruby raised an eyebrow. What do you mean? We don’t have to worry about having to hide anything now. Zen never got pregnant. Chaotic shook his head. That’s true but we do have an extra cub now. One with no background and no history. Not to mention she looks like Zen’s twin. At any rate we’ll have to go to the court house and try and get some papers made up for her. \tZen woke up feeling uneasy. He knew what he had to do. The decision was made. Zen would not allow anyone else to bear the burden he was faced with. Zen got himself up out of bed. He made his way to the dining room where Chaotic and Ruby were already up and making some breakfast. Chaotic took notice of Zen sitting down at the table. How are you feeling Zen? You don’t look like you’re ready to be out of bed yet. Zen shook his head. I’ve made my decision. I’ll be the one to save Black. I won’t make anyone else go through it. Ruby sat down next to Zen taking one of his hands. She looked him in the eyes before speaking. I’ll do it. I had all night to think about it. Zen looked down at the floor. I won’t let you. This is my problem. I’m not afraid of pain. It will be a lot to ask even after Black is born. I want things to be over with fast. With me doing this we only have a month and then we can get on with our lives.

\tChaotic came to the table carrying a tray with 3 plates of food. He set a plates in front of Zen and Ruby. He then took the third plate and sat on the other side of Zen across from Ruby. Zen looked at the food in front of him. You guys have done so much for me. I can’t ask for any more. I won’t ask for more. I am the one who summoned Black and I will be the one to bring her into this world. Chaotic looked at Ruby and shook his head. Looks like he’s as stubborn as the two of us combined.

Ruby took a big bite of her food and pointed her fork at Zen. You listen here little pup. I’m not someone that starts a commitment and just bails on it. I didn’t tag along with you and our fire butt over there just for the hell of it. I came with to help you in any way I can. I’ve never met anyone with as much strength as the two of you. I can’t go back to being just some small town cop. I’m here and you can’t get rid of me now.

\tZen shook his head. I’m not trying to get rid of you. I need you. This whole thing with Black isn’t something I’m going to be able to do alone. It’s just too much. That’s why I want to do this myself. That way I have you to help me through it. I won’t be able to help much if you were the one to take Black. Ruby gave a sigh and shrugged. There is no way to change your mind is there? Chaotic laughed. I’d be surprised if we could change his mind now that he has his decision. Ruby sighed in defeat. Things are going to get really crazy around here aren’t they?

\tIt didn’t take long for everyone to eat their breakfast. After eating, everyone gathered in the master bedroom. They had to talk to Black about the decision Zen had made and make plans for the future. Once everyone was lying down and comfy Zen closed his eyes and held Chaotic and Ruby’s hands. As soon as everyone had relaxed they found themselves in Blacks room again. Black was sitting in the middle of the room again. She waved to the trio. When everyone was in the middle of the room with Black they sat down. Black looked at Zen. You look way to serious. Lighten up a bit.

\tRuby let out a growl. How can you tell him to lighten up? He’s about to become a mom at 5 years old. Black shrugged. I’m not saying this isn’t a big deal, it is a really big deal. We have a lot to talk about. From what you just said I take it Zen wants to be the one to do this. Zen nodded. I’ll do it. I want to help you this time. It’s my problem and I’ll be the one to fix it. Black shook her head. If it were up to me I would just fade away, but since you are the master of our contract I can’t do that. Chaotic tilted his head. What do you mean the master of your contract? Black giggled. It’s exactly as it sounds. I gave Zen full control over our contract. He makes all the decisions. If he told me to go away I would have to do it. Since he doesn’t want me to go then I cannot go. However the way the contract was made makes it so Zen cannot place me in another host. In order to do that we would have to tweak the contract to allow it. Since Zen has decided to do this himself that saves us a step or two.

\tChaotic looked shocked. Why would you give a cub so much control over you? Black shrugged. I’ve never met anyone with the kind of spirit or strength Zen has. I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She gave a slight chuckle. Looks like I got burned too. Ruby crossed her arms and glared at Black. Was it part of your plan to be given a new body? This whole thing is all too fishy if you ask me. Black started laughing really hard. You actually think I would let myself get this weak if I wanted to be born in your world. What would it accomplish? I won’t have any of my demonic powers left. The only thing I will have is my memories. The spell I am using to speed things up will use the last of my power. I’m going to make it so I will age faster too. I should catch up to Zen within a year. I can’t be any help to Zen if I’m a baby no can I?

\tRuby looked at Chaotic. Can she actually do that? Chaotic nodded. She has all the knowledge of an arch mage. Time magic could do what she is talking about. Ruby rubbed her forehead. What’s an arch mage again? Black giggled looking around at everyone. It means I have mastered all the magic types. Ruby’s mouth dropped open. So you’re super powerful. Why would we want to give you a body to do as you please? Zen frowned. She won’t do anything bad. I won’t let her. Black nodded. Even after I have a body of my own and have lost all my demonic power Zen will still be my master. The contract we have will not go away that easy.

\tRuby shrugged. Alright I give up. What does Zen have to do to get this over with? Black looked at Zen. For starters we will need a room to ourselves. You will want to put a barrier around the room. The power I will use is demonic in nature. If you don’t seal the room Ruby and anyone in the immediate area could get pregnant too. Chaotic nodded. I’ve dealt with demonic power before. I know a few sealing barriers that will work. Black nodded before continuing. Since this is a demonic magic, it’s going to be rough. If I could change the way the spell worked I would. You will likely feel like your body is being raped. Zen’s ears went flat to his head. So it will be like with those dark mages again? Black looked down and nodded. It’s the only impregnation spell I know of. It will work on any female or herm. It doesn’t matter how old they are. The spell will take a few hours to do its work. In that time you will need to be within the barrier Chaotic puts up. If you go outside the barrier Ruby could be affected by the spell. Zen nodded. No leaving the room after we start, got it.

\tBlack looked over to Chaotic and Ruby. You two should not enter the room at all. Zen is not affected by demonic energy at all. I’m guessing you two don’t have that ability. Chaotic nodded. I’ll make sure no one enters the room. When did you want to get started? Black turned to Zen. What do you think? Zen fidgeted a little. I think we should do this tonight. The sooner we get it over with the better. Chaotic shrugged before nodding. Alright as soon as we are done here I will start making preparations for the barrier.

\tRuby gave a sigh. I’ll have to give Dr. Realm and the school a call. They will need to be informed that Zen will not be starting school right away. Chaotic looked at black. Do you think you will have any demonic energy when you are born? Black shrugged. I don’t know. It’s possible I guess. Even if there were any left after this, staying close to Zen will purify the rest of it. Chaotic gave a sigh. Let’s hope there isn’t anything left. The hospital will check you. It won’t be good if you have even a hint of demonic power. Zen looked at Chaotic with worry. What will they do? Chaotic scratched the back of his head. I don’t know. There was a war 21 years ago that was started by demons being born into this world. They of course had a lot more demonic power.

\tBlack nodded. I understand, I will have to try and use up as much as I can without destroying myself before I am born. Once I am in a developing body though I won’t be able to do much. We will just have to pray that I am completely purified before I am born. Zen turned to Black. Won’t that mean you had faded away? Black shook her head. No once I am in my new body my memories will be bound to that body. Demons are just dark souls that normally have no form. We are only given form when we possess someone or something. If we are born into this world we become something else. Those that keep their demonic power become dark beings that should not be in this world.

\tZen nodded. We should start getting things set up for tonight. With that said the room faded away and the trio woke up in bed. Zen stretched. This should be an interesting day. Chaotic went to Zen’s room to set up the barrier while Ruby started making calls. She first called the school. They had all kinds of questions about why Zen wouldn’t be starting school right away. Ruby tried to answer without giving too much away. Once she was done talking to the school she hung up with a sigh. Zen looked at her with concern. Is everything okay? Ruby nodded. They didn’t like the idea of you starting a month late but they gave up and agreed. Now just to call Dr. Realm. I’m sure he is going to bite my head off too. Of course Dr. Realm wound up shouting. Zen could hear him as Ruby held the phone away from her ear. Finally Ruby started shouting back. LOOK I KNOW IT’S IMPORTANT FOR HIM TO START SCHOOL. WE WANT HIM TO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE IN TOWN BEFORE HE STARTS SCHOOL… IT IS NOT NEGLAGANCE. YOU HAVN’T SEEN WHAT HAPPENS WHEN HE IS OVERWELMED. Zen looked down. Ruby sighed. Sorry Zen I didn’t mean it that way. Yes Zen is right here. Alright I’ll hand him the phone. Zen was handed the phone. He put it up to his ear.

\tZen was unsure of what to say as he began talking to Dr. Realm.
Dr. Realm: What’s this all about? In our last session you said you couldn’t wait to start school.
Zen: I’m just not ready. It’s hard to explain. There is a lot going on.
Dr. Realm: What do you mean? What’s going on that would make it so you can’t start school.
Zen: I don’t wanna talk about it with you. It’s really personal.
Dr. Realm: Personal? What you have going on personally that would interfere with starting school?
Zen: I don’t want to lose control again. Bad things happen when I do. That’s all I am going to say about it. Here’s Ruby.

\tRuby took the phone from Zen. If there is nothing else I have things to do. Later we can talk more. Chaotic can talk to you with more details. With that said Ruby hung up the phone. She gave a big sigh. That could have gone better. She put the phone down and went to check on Chaotic. He was in Zen’s room drawing symbols on the walls, floor and ceiling. Ruby leaned against the door frame. That all looks complicated. Chaotic looked at her with a grin. I’ve had plenty of practice with these kinds of barriers. I haven’t told you or Zen but I was in the war 21 years ago. Ruby gasped. You were just 12 years old then weren’t you? Chaotic nodded. I was already a master of enhancing magic. I had the basics in elemental magic and sensory magic too. Barriers and seals were things you just had to know in order to fight the demonic hordes. I’m sure the barrier I am making here will do the trick.

\tZen came to the door and peeked inside his room. How is everything going? Chaotic chuckled. I’m nearly finished. Zen nodded. I’m getting kind of hunger. When you are done in here can we have some lunch? Ruby chuckled. I’ll make you some sandwiches. Zen smiled as he followed Ruby to the kitchen. Ruby made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. With Zen’s appetite he would easily eat 6 sandwiches. In total Ruby made 10 sandwiches. 2 for her, 2 for Chaotic and 6 for Zen. Once everything was made Zen helped Ruby set some glasses and plates on the dining room table. Chaotic came into the dining room at the perfect time. Milk was just being poured and Zen as about to go fetch Chaotic for lunch. Chaotic spotted the big stack of sandwiches and chuckled. I see you are getting used to Zen’s appetite. Ruby grinned. I’m pretty adaptable. It’s not every day that you meet a little wolf pup that can eat more than an adult.

\tZen sat down and took a bit of one of his sandwiches. It doesn’t seem to matter how much I eat. I’m hungry a little while after eating. Chaotic laughed. I bet it has something to do with the amount of energy your body has. More food would make more energy. Zen shrugged. I guess that makes sense. I enjoy eating too. The food you guys make is so good. Ruby chuckled. I’m glad you like our cooking. I hate to say it but I think Chaotic’s cooking is far better than mine. Chaotic grinned and looked Ruby in the eyes. You haven’t seen anything yet. I love cooking. I will have to show off a bit from time to time. Zen smiled. I look forward to that.

\tThe smile left Zen’s face and he looked down. After tonight I will be even hungrier won’t I? Ruby put one hand on Zen’s shoulder. It’ll be okay. We will just have to keep a good stock of food in the house. Stuff you can get to easily whenever you get a craving or just get hungry. Zen tilted his head. What’s a craving? Ruby chuckled. It’s when you want something really bad. Lots of times cravings for odd foods happen when someone is pregnant. Zen looked puzzled. What kind of odd food? Ruby scratched her chin. I think my mom said she wanted pickle, banana, and peanut butter sandwiches when she was pregnant with me. There are also less odd cravings like ice cream or just things like meat or cheese. Who knows what you will want. Zen nodded. I think I understand.

\tAfter lunch Chaotic took Ruby and Zen to the back yard. He had set up some small magic circles for practicing magic. Ruby was trying to learn the basics for enhancing magic. Chaotic proved to be a great instructor. Zen sat a short distance from Ruby and watched as she struggled with focusing her energy where she wanted it to go. She was trying to strengthen her right arm. Zen stood and walked into the circle with Ruby. Chaotic raised an eyebrow. What are you doing Zen? It’s not good to enter a magic circle that is active. Zen held out a hand to Ruby. She looked at him puzzled but he just smiled. Once she took his hand her arm lit up with enhancing magic. Zen had helped her focus just by touching her. When Ruby let go of Zen’s hand the magic in her arm faded a little but didn’t go away completely. She was now able to control her energy a little.

\tRuby sighed and tried to relax. The light around her arm faded completely. Man that takes a lot out of me. What did you do there Zen. Zen gave a big grin. I just gave you a little nudge in the right direction. I could see where you energy was not flowing the way it should. I just helped the flow and you took care of the rest. Chaotic was shocked. He shook his head and approached the magic circle. I guess you could be a teacher yourself Zen. Seeing the way a person’s aura is acting and being able to help them like that is what teachers need.

\tAfter a few more hours of practice the trio called it a day. It was nearing dinner time. Chaotic had decided to make a special meal for tonight. He made a quick grocery run and came back with some potatoes and ground meat. He washed and cut up the potatoes into bite sized chunks. He then cut up a few onions and put them in the potatoes. He then salted and peppered the potato and onion mix and mixed in some vegetable oil. Once the mix was ready Chaotic place it into a large cake pan. The oven was set to 350 degrees and Chaotic turned his attention to the meat. While the oven was heating he cut up another onion and placed it and the meat in a kettle. After breaking up the meat he lightly salted and peppered it. He also added some garlic to the meat.  Zen scrunched his nose at the smell of the garlic. Chaotic laughed. Trust me it tastes better than it smells. Zen shrugged and continued to watch Chaotic cook. With the meat ready Chaotic placed it on the stove on a medium heat. He also covered the kettle. Turning to the oven Chaotic placed the potato mix in the now heated oven and put a timer for 30 minutes.

\tWith that done a few canned goods were taken out. A large can of cream of chicken soup, mixed vegetables and chicken noodle soup. Zen tilted his head. What’s all that for? Chaotic chuckled. This will be the sauce for the potatoes. The chicken noodle soup is just for more flavor really. After the meat was browned Chaotic started adding the canned goods to the meat. Every so often he would open the oven and stir the potatoes so they didn’t stick to the pan. By now the house was filled with the smell of the cooking food. Zen’s stomach began to growl loudly. The sauce was now at a low boil. Chaotic went to the refrigerator and pulled out some cheese. He melted in a total of 12 slices of cheese making the sauce extra creamy. The timer on the oven had gone off signaling that the potatoes were done.

\tEverything was removed from the oven and stove and placed on the table on some pot holders. The table was set and the trio sat down eyeing the food before them. Both Zen and Ruby’s mouths were watering. Chaotic quickly dished everyone up. Be careful this stuffs hot. Ruby nodded blowing on a chunk of potato covered in sauce. Once she took a bite her eyes went huge. She looked over to Chaotic. Holy crap, this stuff is great. Where did you learn to cook like this? Chaotic shrugged. I just watched when my mom and dad cooked. I don’t have any of their recipes I just go by what I can remember. Zen was taking large bites not bothering to cool the food off. Chaotic gasped. You’ll burn your mouth doing that. Zen shrugged. I can’t be burned remember. I’m just absorbing the heat I think. This food is too good. I can’t get enough.

\tAfter everyone had their fill a quick bath was taken. Zen decided to take his bath with Ruby. Chaotic took a shower not wanting to have to wait again. This time however Zen didn’t fall asleep. He got out of the tub shortly after rinsing the soap from his fur. Once he was toweled off he made his way to his room where Chaotic was waiting. Chaotic looked at Zen and sighed. You sure you want to go through with this? Things won’t be easy and there is no turning back after it is done. Zen nodded. I’m not backing down now. I’ll be fine. It can’t be as bad as living with those mages for 3 years.

\tChaotic lead Zen into the room. These symbols are drawn in chalk. Don’t touch them. They could wipe off easily and break the barrier. As soon as I close the door the barrier will activate. If you have to use the bathroom I would do it now. We don’t know how long that spell Black is going to cast will last. Zen nodded. I’m all set. Ruby came to the door. You sure you don’t want me to do this kiddo? Zen looked at her and shook his head. I’ll be the one to do this. After all this is done I’ll need your help to look after black while I’m at school. Ruby walked up to Zen giving him a hug. You’re acting so much older than you should. It’s not right for a cub to have to make these decisions. Zen shook his head. It’s nothing that special. I’m just returning the favor for Black. She saved me, now it’s my turn to save her.

\tChaotic and Ruby looked at each other before leaving the room. Once the door closed the symbols in the room started glowing faintly.  Chaotic spoke through the door. I’ll be waiting by the door till everything is done. You can start whenever you’re ready.

\tZen sighed. He walked over to his bed and laid down. His focus went to Black. It didn’t take long for Zen to find himself in Black’s room. Black was waiting in the middle of the room. Zen approached her. Black turned to Zen with a smile. I think I may have a better way to do this. Well maybe not better but quicker anyway. Zen tilted his head confused. There is a quicker way to have a baby? Black laughed. I’m not talking about you having a baby. I thought of a spell that would get the job done tonight. Zen’s eyes went wide. What do you mean? Black’s grin widened. While you and the love birds were getting things ready I was here thinking. Then it hit me. I told you before that you can’t just make a body, but I was wrong. There is a spell that was meant to bring people back to life. It was a failure but I think it would work for us. Zen looked even more confused. Why would I want to bring someone back to life? Black chuckled. You’re not… well you are but all we really need is to make a body. To do this spell would be perfect. However the spell requires a massive amount of magic energy. But with you we don’t have to worry about that.

\tZen sighed. Do I even have time to learn a spell like that? Black nodded. To learn it all I have to do is kiss you remember. I can teach you any spell with that method. Zen didn’t look convinced. But you said the spell was a failure right. What makes you think we can pull it off? Black grinned devilishly. Well the idiots that made the spell used it to construct a body. They were also using it to try and pull a soul from the afterlife. We don’t need to do that step. We have a soul to place in the body, mine. Zen still looked puzzled. What about the stuff to make a body? It’s not like we can just go out and buy random ingredients and peace one together. Even I know that. Black sighed shaking her head. It’s really simple, we need blood. Your blood is the key to making this work. Zen’s expression turned sour. How much blood? Black giggled. Oh come on you know you can’t die from blood loss. Your healing power will keep regenerating the blood that comes out of you. Zen sighed. This is going to hurt isn’t it? Black nodded. I think it will. I can’t say for sure though. I know anything that makes you bleed hurts. So I’m assuming this will hurt. Zen shrugged. Well if it will get this done tonight then let’s try it. Black looked Zen in the eyes. We get one shot at this. Same as with the other methods. And once we start we cannot stop. Zen nodded. Alright let’s learn a spell.


\tWith that said Black came close to Zen and for the first time she kissed him. Zen’s ears laid back as the information flowed into his mind. For a moment his eyes turned jet black. He blinked a couple of times as Black took a step back. She smiled. That’s the last time I can touch you in this form. I’m all out of energy to manifest in a solid state. Even if it’s just in your mind. Zen’s eyes returned to normal. He shook his head and tried to collect his thoughts. This spell sounds risky. Are you sure this is the best option we have? Black nodded. I like doing things the quick way. We can both start school together using this method. Zen smiled. Alright I’ll get this spell started then.

\tZen woke up from his dream state and jumped out of bed. Once in the middle of the room he closed his eyes and started the spell. All gates open. His body glowed bright as the energy began surging through his body. He then held both hands out and a grand array began to form in light. It was much smaller than the one Black had made for the seal but it was just as powerful. Zen began floating above the array. Cuts formed on both is arms and blood flowed out and began pooling in the air beside him. Zen winced as he felt the pain but even as a large amount of blood left his body he didn’t sick bad at all.

\tChaotic had started pounding on the door asking what was going on. Zen had to concentrate. He could not answer any questions now. The pool of blood was slowly taking shape. At first it just looked like a blob with nothing to it. But soon it took a more familiar shape. 2 legs 2 arms a head and a tail. Blood was still flowing from the cuts in Zen’s arms. Soon it looked like something was floating in the blood bubble. There were specks of white forming. The specks grew in size and slowly took on the form of bones. There was now a bloody skeleton floating next to Zen. Soon vanes started forming, then organs and muscles. Zen was a little grossed out by what he was seeing. But finally skin started forming. He wasn’t moving at all. Black rolled Zen onto his back and put her ear to his chest. She gave a sigh of relief. He just passed out. Chaotic walked over to Black and Zen. What the hell did you do? I thought the house was going to fall down. Black shrugged. It was a resurrection spell. We tweaked it a bit. Looks like it worked just fine.

\tRuby ran into the room but stopped dead in her tracks. What the hell… am I seeing double? How the hell are there 2 of you now? Black chuckled It’s a long story. I’m tired and hungry though. And Zen isn’t going to be waking up any time soon. He used more energy that he has ever used. 50 times more than when that town was blown away. Chaotic looked shocked. I thought that all of his power escaped when that happened. Black shook her head. That explosion was just like the pressure release valve being opened. Just a little bit came out. Well enough about that though. We need to get Zen in bed. And if I could… think I could get a bit to eat?

\tChaotic walked over and picked Zen up taking him to his bed. Once Zen was in bed, Chaotic led Black to Zen’s dresser. He grabbed her some underwear and one of his shirts that Zen had used as pajamas before. Once Black was dressed, she went to the kitchen to find Chaotic. He dished up some of the leftovers from dinner. After heating the food in the microwave he placed it at the table for Black. Black smiled as she hopped up in the chair. Thank you so much. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to eat food again. She took a bite and her eyes started tearing up. This is really good. Chaotic chuckled. Why are you crying? Black wiped her eyes but the tears didn’t stop. I’m just so happy. I never thought I would fell this again.

\tAfter finishing her food Black hopped out of her chair and ran over to Chaotic. He was just on the other side of the table. He was shocked as Black jumped and wrapped him in a hug. What’s all this for? Black smiled as she nuzzled against Chaotic. I can’t thank you enough. You could have destroyed me the first time you saw me but you didn’t. Chaotic chuckled. If I had done that, Zen would never trust me. I would never do anything to hurt him or you. We should get you to bed though. Ruby walked over to the table. Are you going to sleep with Zen tonight? Black nodded. I don’t want to leave his side till he wakes up. Chaotic and Ruby both chuckled. Alright we will see you in the morning. Black gave Ruby a hug before running back to Zen’s room. She climbed into bed pulling the covers over both her and Zen. With a peck on the cheek Black said good night. She was quick to drift off to sleep.

\tChaotic and Ruby both peaked in on the sleeping cubs. They both smiled seeing Black and Zen sleeping peacefully. Ruby turned to Chaotic with a grin. How much you wanna bet the cops show up asking about the quake that came from this house? Chaotic chuckled. He started walking toward the master bedroom. Ruby followed. Come on no bets? Chaotic gave a sigh. They will stop by in the morning I’m sure. This got a whole lot more complicated. Ruby raised an eyebrow. What do you mean? We don’t have to worry about having to hide anything now. Zen never got pregnant. Chaotic shook his head. That’s true but we do have an extra cub now. One with no background and no history. Not to mention she looks like Zen’s twin. At any rate we’ll have to go to the court house and try and get some papers made up for her. Since it’s the weekend we will have to do it Monday.

\tWith everything said and done Chaotic Ruby Zen and Black slept peacefully through the night. The morning would bring new challenges. How to explain a sudden appearance of a little girl was going to be tough.
