There was also a slightly cold feeling around his midsection. These voices were vary familiar. In his sleepy daze Zen could barely make out what the voices were saying. One of the more girly voices spoke first. Come on I thought you he was a girl. That thing does not belong on a girl. A boy’s voice gave a reply. That wasn’t there last night. A second boy’s voice chimed in. The whole thing looks weird. He has an extra hole. Zen slowly opened his eyes. Before him stood Beth, Abby, Emily, James, Adam, and Tim. They were all staring at Zen with confused expressions on their faces. When Zen finally looked at what they were staring at he felt his stomach knot up. Zen quickly kicked his foot up nearly hitting Adam and Beth in the nose. This caused all 6 cub to take a quick step back.\n\n\tZen quickly covered himself and glared at the other children. Zen let out a growl and started tearing up. He then snapped his teeth at them. What were you doing to me? Emily quickly stepped forward. Chill out ya little fur ball we just wanted to see if what James said was true. Zen’s glare shifted to James who quickly laid his ears back and looked down. Tim stepped in front of James and shouted. Don’t go getting mad at him for telling us what he saw last night. It’s not our fault you’re keeping secrets. Abby then put her hand on Tim’s shoulder. Calm down Tim we should have just asked him. All the kids looked at the cat then down to the floor. Zen however was still having trouble keeping cool at this point. Part of him wanted to lash out at them while the other wanted to run away. But where would he run. He had no one and he knew no one.\n\n\tIn Zen’s panicked state he was starting to breath vary heavily. The longer he sat there surrounded by the others the more he felt the need to run. However his only exit was blocked. Despite his first impulse to lash out at the others Zen really didn’t want to hurt anyone. The state of panic was getting worse. Zen finally spotted the window next to his bed. He leaped to his feet and jumped for the window. The others could only stand and gasp as Zen crashed through the window. Luckily all of the rooms in the building were at ground level. Zen tumbled on the ground outside a couple of times earning a couple of cuts on his arms and legs. This however didn’t faze the determined wolf pup at all. With an open yard before him Zen got back to his feet and started running toward town.\n\n\tAs Zen ran away Veronica came into the room to ask what all the ruckus was about. After entering the room Veronica could only gasp seeing the window smashed and all the cubs standing around it eyes wide and mouths hung open. Veronica couldn’t contain herself and yelled. WHAT HAPPENED HERE? All the cubs eeped and turned slowly to the fox standing in the doorway. Before anyone else could say anything James cried out. We wanted to see if Zen was a girl or a boy. Veronica simply folded here arms. Explain everything now.\n\n James poked his fingers together as he started to explain what he had saw. Well you see last night I had to get up and go to the bathroom. When I was done and opened the door to go back to my room Zen walk past me into the bathroom. He didn’t even bother to close the door. I turned around and started to ask Zen if he was okay. That’s when I saw that Zen didn’t have anything between his legs. This made me think he might be a girl. When I talked to the others they suggested that we just have a look for ourselves. We did peek at Zen while he was sleeping but he had something he didn’t have last night. That’s when he woke up and freaked out. Then he jumped out the window.\n\nVeronica sighed and shook her head. So that’s why he didn’t want me to help him with his bath. He must think he would be rejected or something. Veronica then looked at the kids. Go back to your rooms. She then went to the phone to call the police to inform them of a runaway that could be injured. \n\n. . .\n\nMeanwhile Zen ran blindly through town. That’s when he heard Blacks voice again. Black chuckled. Where are you going? Zen stopped for a moment and gasped. He looked around to find the source of the voice but he was alone in the street. Zen hesitated before he spoke. Is someone there? Black answered with a chuckle. Have you already forgotten our little chat last night? Zen’s eyes widened as he gasped. T-that was real? Black sighed. Why yes it was very real. We share the same body. However we do not share the same mind. I will not interfere with your day to day life. Now I will ask again. Where are you going? Now that Zen had stopped to think about it he didn’t know where he was going. He shrugged. I don’t know. Black laughed for a moment. Blindly running with no destination? Sounds about right though. Why not go visit that red wolf from yesterday.\n\nZen’s ears perked up at that suggestion. He hadn’t even thought of Chaotic. Zen dropped his head looking at the ground. But I don’t even know where he lives. Black laughed so loud that it made Zen’s head hurt. Of course you know where he lives. You should be able to see what direction to go at least. Zen looked around for a moment before he saw a faint glow in the distance. He then pointed and asked. Is it that way? Black simply said. You tell me. \n\nWith a shrug Zen followed the road the led to the other side of town. Now that he was in a more clear state of mind he looked himself over. Both arms and legs had deep cuts in them. Zen noticed that he felt throbbing pain now. He then asked Black if there was anything he could do about the cuts. Black chuckled. You have the power to heal yourself. Just think about what you want and it will happen. Zen closed his eyes and focused. Within seconds all the cuts closed and the pain faded away. The blood around the cuts was still matting Zen’s fur. But at least the pain was gone. Satisfied Zen smiled and said thank you.\n\nAfter walking for an hour or so Zen reached a big old house. Standing in the road outside the house Zen could clearly see the glowing outline of a person through the wall. Walking up to the door Zen knocked and watched as the figure inside came to the door. After opening the door Chaotic smiled. Well isn’t this a surprise. What brings you out… he cut himself off seeing the blood on Zen’s arms and legs. \n\nBefore any questions were asked Zen shrugged. I’m fine. The cuts are already healed. Chaotic was shocked. He then ushered Zen inside. What do you mean the cuts are already healed? And how did you get cut anyway. Zen shrugged and shook his head. I got cut when I crashed through the window back at the orphanage. And the cuts healed before I got here. Zen was not sure if he should share the fact that he had a demon within him.\n\nChaotic sighed. You surprise me more and more. First you used enhancing magic in the woods. Now you use healing magic? I am kind of in a jam here. With the window in Zen’s room smashed we don’t really have an appropriate place for him to stay tonight. The replacement window should be here in a couple of days. Do you think you would be able to look after Zen until the work on his room is done? After all you did say you wanted to adopt him. This would be the perfect opportunity to see if you are cut out to be a dad.\nChaotic: I don’t have a problem with Zen staying here. I have a couple of extra beds. The only question is will Zen be okay with staying here. \nChaotic looked over at Zen. What do you think? Wanna stay here a couple nights? Zen’s ears perked and he gave a big smile nodding. With that decided Chaotic told Veronica Zen’s answer and then hung up the phone. Chaotic scratched his chin. Well if you are going to be staying I guess we should go get you some cloths. There is a small shop about a 10 minute walk from here that should have stuff that will fit you.\n\n\tAfter a short walk Chaotic and Zen reached the shop. Walking inside the shop was split into gender and age groups. Zen walked over to the kids section and stated looking through their selection of t-shirts and shorts. After selecting a few sets of cloths Zen walked over to the underwear section. Grabbing a pack of his size of underwear Zen walked back to Chaotic cloths in hand.
