"writing": "Another boring day in the lab.\n\nStory by: Bluie, Fluffed up by: Me.\n\nThere was nobody on the road as a black car broke the silence of the rustling trees by the wayside; a middle aged tiger sighed heavily as he stared at the road ahead, he really didn't want to go to work right now, he'd rather stay at home and go back to bed than work on a time wasting project that was already taken off the table anyways. The feline sighed heavily with a deep breath as the clock in his car read 4:45, he was early and that meant that the hours would creep by even longer. A tall building doomed up in the distance, once a military facility that had been transformed into a science lab. He stopped before the kiosk, just like every other day he waved his pas as he drove through.\n\nHe didn't even remember parking, opening the car door revealed a cool breeze waiting for him as he made his way to the door, a small wave of his pas was all it took for the door to open and to recognise that the early scientist had entered. Groggily the tiger pressed a button on the coffee machine, watching as the plastic cup slowly filled with what he could only describe as 'black sludge' that tasted more like iron water than it tasted of coffee, but at least it kept him awake and with a spoonful of sugar it was more manageable to drink down. He padded down the hallway, still pretending to be half asleep as he tried his best to be as slow as possible, but of course time wasn't by his side and it was barely 5:00 when he reached the door to his lab. \"Better get this over with...\" He mumbled to himself as he took a sip from the hot cup before slowly opening the door. \n\nBright lights began to flicker as he turned the knob, almost attacking his sleep deprived eyes while he makes his way towards where his stall is. He swiped the card in front of the booth as the door unlocked with a click. The booth was pretty small but big enough to examine the various samples that the company extracted from planets, this particular planet he had researched was supposed to have intelligent life. \"Intelligent my ass\" The tiger huffed as he took another sip from the plastic cup. Various microscopes and dishes painted the table where he worked, in the corner stood a pretty big pc which he turned on; sadly he was not allowed to use it for games, else he would've installed Zork on it without a single moment's thought.\n\nThe chair creaked as the large feline tried to settle in it, sipping the last grainy taste of sludge from his cup as he threw it into the trash, along with the other hundreds of cups from the day before. He flicked another switch as the lights from the microscopes started to lit up, he wasn't entirely sure what he was doing here exactly: his work was finished, they had all the details that the planet was in fact inhabited, scientific breakthrough and all that blah-die-blah stuff that he didn't really care about. He looked at the seemingly empty plastic dishes as he huffed silently to himself, knowing that the only reason he had to come in was because it was required. He as well as his colleages knew that it took another month before new work was coming in so all they did was sit there, waiting for something new to arrive... until that got old as well. \"Try your best at school and you will never regret it... yeah right dad!\" He grumbled to himself as he got up from his chair and walked towards the dishes sitting there on the examination table. \"Well, let's see how this 'dominant race' is doing\"... the tiger huffed as he sat himself down in front of one of the microscopes.\n\nThe humans panicked as soft long booms seemed to boom in the sky, they witnessed this phenomenon a thousand times ago and it always ended the same. These booms slowly turned into slow quakes as the world around them began to thunder, 'it' had returned or rather 'he' had returned. Whatever he was, he was a god to them, a mighty being impossible to understand from where they were standing. Shrieks filled the room as a bright light emitted the everlasting darkness that surrounded them, revealing a place that could best be described as 'hell'. Half-eaten rotting human corpses surrounded them, some were reduced to unrecognisable mush as the air around them was filled with the unimaginable stench of the dead. Some shivered in a corner, others had tried to dig their way out but without success, most had taken their own lives by this point while others foolishly hoped for that thing called: \"salvation\".\n\nMost could still remember the days back on planet earth: the sun shining, the grass growing, birds fluttering in the sky. Sure, there was talk of aliens: green little creatures that would take you for a ride in their spaceship, tales that were mostly and almost immediatly banished to the realm of fantasy and imagination... and yet. There were things, tiny things like people that would went missing, stories of entire islands like Atlantis and Croatoan in which people would suddenly disappear; never to be heard from again and now it was their turn, as their entire world was replaced with a seemingly endless plastic floor that appeared to stretch into the far off distance with unsurmountable walls looming above it from all sides.\n\nThe quaking didn't seemed to end as their impossibly large orange 'god' moved in the distance, some of them had never thought it possible that one would be able to distinguish various types of quakes and rumbles... and yet here they were: Knowing that one light rumble was their new master's finger pressing a button, the other thundering a computer starting up and the other a foot impatiently tapping on the floor below. No one could ever tell a person what it would really feel like: being small, but they knew just too well what it felt like being insignificant, being looked down upon, not even worthy than the tiniest piece of dirt which would look like a massive, unmovable boulder from their perspective. The massive quakes returned and so did the tiger who caused them; sweat was running on their faces as he sat down with a massive, ear deafening quake, it was a miracle that they were still alive.\n\nThe larger feline merely looks down at the dish as he picks up his pliers. \"Let's see how you guys are doing\" he mumbles as he lifts one of the moveable magnifying glasses over one of the dishes, revealing that the seeminly empty dishes contained a few hundred tiny little insects, insects that on close examination had distinct mammalistic features. He didn't even knew why he bothered with them at this point, they were incinerated anyways eventually and even 'if' some of them got away it was only a matter of time before they would become one with the specks of dirt on another anthro's shoe. He poked the plastic floor of the petri dish with the pliers and watched as the tiny dots that were underneath it had stopped moving. He couldn't imagine how these weak micro organisms could've survived for this long, he'd barely had to touch them and they were reduced to mush. Sadly though, it was the only thing that made his work at least a tiny bit more bearable as he turned it into a little game, chasing the tiny dots with his pliers and see how many he could get in a single tap.\n\nWhat seemed like an innocent little past time was nothing short of utter horror from the human's perspective. Most of them looked up as the sky above them began to rumble, a large disc like object replaced the blurry sky with a warped piece of glass that, for some reason gave them a better view of the world above them. The glass's image began to warp again as the giant feline sat down in front of it, followed by another rumble as its massive eye nearly filled the glass above them. It was their 'god', the massive eye of providence passing judgement on each of them while most of them wanted to know what they did to end up in a situation like this, unaware of the fact that they were even less than toys to the creature before them. The air around them began to grow thick with the smell of coffee and the rotting air of someone with a poor dental hygiene as each of the tiger's breaths were strong enough to blow them off their feet.\n\nBut something more sinister was about to happen as two large metallic objects the size of pillars hovered above them like two swords of damocles. They could see how the tiny corpses of their former species were encrusted on the underside, ready to be replaced with a fresh new batch. The people nearest to the center began to ran, trying desperately to outrun the massive matallic object as it came closer but their efforts were all in vain as the massive object descended upon their insignificant tiny bodies. The simple impact send a massive quake through the plastic landscape around them, like a gigantic meteor had struck, compacting the tiny bodies to another mushy layer of blood. The massive object rose again as the massive eye in the sky looked on, occasionally closing slowly and opening as the large metallic pillars zoomed above them.\n\nFor the large feline these 'intelligent creatures' as the department called them, were nothing more than tiny insects to him. He watched uninterested as he noticed that some of the tiny creatures got into a fetal position, others running, praying, worshipping him like some sort of god. If these tiny creatures were really intelligent, then they sure had a very weird way of showing it to him. It didn't matter anways, the tiny planet they came from was infested with billions of them, enough samples to last for at least another century or two and besides, even the neighbouring planets like the moon and mars had signs of these tiny parasites so they must easily fester like vermin. As for the tiger it didn't matter, as they currently only served to please him until the day at his exhausting job was over.\n\n",

The feline sighed heavily with a deep breath as the clock in his car read 4:45, he was early and that meant that the hours would creep by even longer. A tall building doomed up in the distance, once a military facility that had been transformed into a science lab. He stopped before the kiosk, just like every other day he waved his pas as he drove through.

He didn't even remember parking, opening the car door revealed a cool breeze waiting for him as he made his way to the door, a small wave of his pas was all it took for the door to open and to recognise that the early scientist had entered. "Better get this over with..." He mumbled to himself as he took a sip from the hot cup before slowly opening the door.

Bright lights began to flicker as he turned the knob, almost attacking his sleep deprived eyes while he makes his way towards where his stall is. He swiped the card in front of the booth as the door unlocked with a click. The booth was pretty small but big enough to examine the various samples that the company extracted from planets, this particular planet he had researched was supposed to have intelligent life. "Intelligent my ass" The tiger huffed as he took another sip from the plastic cup. Various microscopes and dishes painted the table where he worked, in the corner stood a pretty big pc which he turned on; sadly he was not allowed to use it for games, else he would've installed Zork on it without a single moment's thought.

The chair creaked as the large feline tried to settle in it, sipping the last grainy taste of sludge from his cup as he threw it into the trash, along with the other hundreds of cups from the day before. "Try your best at school and you will never regret it... yeah right dad!" He grumbled to himself as he got up from his chair and walked towards the dishes sitting there on the examination table. "Well, let's see how this 'dominant race' is doing"... the tiger huffed as he sat himself down in front of one of the microscopes.

The humans panicked as soft long booms seemed to boom in the sky, they witnessed this phenomenon a thousand times ago and it always ended the same. Some shivered in a corner, others had tried to dig their way out but without success, most had taken their own lives by this point while others foolishly hoped for that thing called: "salvation".

Most could still remember the days back on planet earth: the sun shining, the grass growing, birds fluttering in the sky. Sure, there was talk of aliens: green little creatures that would take you for a ride in their spaceship, tales that were mostly and almost immediatly banished to the realm of fantasy and imagination... and yet. There were things, tiny things like people that would went missing, stories of entire islands like Atlantis and Croatoan in which people would suddenly disappear; never to be heard from again and now it was their turn, as their entire world was replaced with a seemingly endless plastic floor that appeared to stretch into the far off distance with unsurmountable walls looming above it from all sides.

The quaking didn't seemed to end as their impossibly large orange 'god' moved in the distance, some of them had never thought it possible that one would be able to distinguish various types of quakes and rumbles... and yet here they were: Knowing that one light rumble was their new master's finger pressing a button, the other thundering a computer starting up and the other a foot impatiently tapping on the floor below. No one could ever tell a person what it would really feel like: being small, but they knew just too well what it felt like being insignificant, being looked down upon, not even worthy than the tiniest piece of dirt which would look like a massive, unmovable boulder from their perspective. The massive quakes returned and so did the tiger who caused them; sweat was running on their faces as he sat down with a massive, ear deafening quake, it was a miracle that they were still alive.

The larger feline merely looks down at the dish as he picks up his pliers. "Let's see how you guys are doing" he mumbles as he lifts one of the moveable magnifying glasses over one of the dishes, revealing that the seeminly empty dishes contained a few hundred tiny little insects, insects that on close examination had distinct mammalistic features.
