Alex's plan had been: Go during the dead of night at approximately 2100 hours, or 9 PM. We would quietly go to what was originally known as some kind of castle or palace where mother was being held and break her out in any way necessary. Alex would stay ahead of me, and Lucas would stay behind. The sky darkened slowly but surely, going from its bright cheerful blue to a deep, star-covered black. As soon as the clock struck 9, we headed out of the house we were hiding in, walking from the comfort of Nekko's home right into the dimly lit streets of Western Macrone. The air was significantly cooled down from when it was daytime, but that didn't stop us. Alex checked each and every corner we had to go around until the three of us were out of our current section of the large city. From there we trekked lightly toward the large castle building that had much more height that any other building in the area. It was quite pretty honestly, but our objective was not to stare at its majesty, but rather find a way in. Instead of going in through the front, my sis led us toward the back. None of us said a word aside from Alex's occasional soft yet serious "Move up" or "Stay back," she really knew what she was doing, which now that I think about it is rather surprising for her age back then. We got to a back entrance of the castle and carefully entered, looking around for any guards; there were some nearby in orange-ish red metal-clad full body armor. Their sleek style of armor was unlike anything I've seen from the guards that patrolled the city. They seemed intimidating but thankfully we were able to sneak by them, narrowly avoiding detection. Me, Alex and the rather shaky Lucas practically tiptoed from hall to hall, until we went down a stairwell, getting into to a rather wide stone-covered hallway, one wall lined with what looked like rooms that had metal bars for doors. We were in the dungeon, and we we seeing the cells. Most of the prisoners were asleep, so at least no one would see us Intruders and call out to the guards. We were right where we needed to be, and nothing could stop us now. "Let's go find her." My sis whispered.
