- 1 - Josh wasn't really the ideal person for dating, and he has conviced himself of so. For being already an older man, he currently lies in his living room, sitting on the couch and miserably watching over the television, not paying much attention to whatever would appear on the screen. Josh has been a divorcee for almost six years; the reason of why isn't as simple as an affair, but rather that he just wasn't in love with his fiancee as he would describe. Now, he is just an old dog man, with a thick and heavy body with a increasingly longer and messier fur. He would sit down in his living room most days without much to do or to think of really, his life mostly seemed to consist of the same day, over and over again, waking up and going to work, to come back home and go back to sleep. Oftenly Josh would reflect to himself if at some point he would do anything at all with his own life, he certainly didn't know excatly what would really expect to gain from doing absolutely nothing and surrendering for solitude and loneliness; already feeling a heavy weight on his back for divorcing without any good aparent reason, at least from what it seems to anyone who hears the whole story. His ex-fiancee, though upset, didn't really seem to hate him for that... Weirdly enough, Josh could swear she seemed actually pretty relieved, only adding to his mentality that she might have hated him from the very beggining. As he began to dooze of on the couch, he could feel a strange vibration coming from inside his pants, near the area of the crotch; the feeling slowly made him become aware of his surroundings again, as he knew he could not dooze off on the couch as he would often do or else his back would be paying for his sins, as always. Once rubbing his hands on his right and left pockets, he grabed his phone with his rather large and thick hands; as he glanced upon the phone's screen his eyes sparkled with curiosity; he was expecting one of his few friends he meets on the chatting app, but instead it was his ex-fiancee. Josh was rather afraid to answer the call, he has not spoken to her ever since they've divorced... Perhaps, she wants to see him again? Perhaps she wants to yell at his fat face for being a jerk? He was quite unsure of what to do and was left staring on the screen for about a whole half a minute, making the call ring finally come to an end. A heavy feeling of guilt and cowardness arose from the bottom of his spine and slowly began to make it's way to the top of his skull. Perhaps it was his first and last chance to actually talk to someone he knew and had the slightest of care in the whole world, yet completely wasted due to his unwillingnessto face any type of bad consequences to his past behaviours. Once checking on the message-app, he noticed that his ex-fiancee was still online... Perhaps she would call again? What if it was actually important? Something that he, and only he, Josh, could help? With that feeling coming over to his head once again, and being overwelmed with guilt, he closed his eyes, very, very slowly shifting his fat finger over the phone's screen to close the app, letting the phone rest on the side of the couch as he would begin to rise from it. Slowly he grabbed the television-remote from the floor to turn it off, about to make his way for the living room's light switch so he could turn on the lights... But, that's until he heard the voice, a rather, familiar one. "Josh? Josh, are you there?" said the voice, with a sweet and incredibly low feminine voice, as recognizable for Josh as it has always been. He could not help himself but look over the source of the sound while tripping over every single piece of clutter spreaded over the room's floor, trying his best to not surrender to his own weight and fall to the floor; sadly, he would be unsucessful. "Ma-Ma... Maria!" Yelled Josh, falling face first on a opened pizza box, with the pizza only being half-eaten. As he took some seconds to actually recover from the surprise, he arose as fast as he could and made his way back to the couch; it appears that his Ex was talking to him from his phone, the volume was just so low he barely managed to understand what she would say. With a rush of adrenaline going through his veins, he would place his phone close to the ear while trying to take some of his left overs off his fur. "Josh? Is everything alright? I've heard a noise; did you hurt yourself?" Said Maria, in her sweet and caring tone, as she has always had. "Ah, no no no, it was just an accident; I'm doing fine, thank you honey... I mean, Maria..." He felt as if his cheeks were about to burn with the feeling of talking to his Ex again; it has been so long since they ever talked to each other, he could feel as if the butterflies in his stomach were actually real butterflies "Say... Maria, how did you call me without me answering the call?" "Actually, it was you who called" as Josh heard it, he could only think to himself: damn fat fingers of mine! "But thanks for calling back, really; I hope it's not much to call for some help for the past month". "Help? Has anything happened? Are you ok Maria?" "Oh yes, better than ever, thank you Josh. It's just that I, you know, started dating again. And, well... Let's just say I now got two lovely boys in my life" he could feel as she spoke in a rather flustered tone. "Oh Maria, I didn't know you were in a trisal relationship". "Wait, what the fu-... I mean! No! No no mister, you're getting it all wrong. By two lovely boys I mean my boyfriend and my son" said Maria, not only nervous but strangely careful with her wording; as much of a sweetheart Maria could be, she never really minded swearing "He's a really young doggy, very well behaved and gentle I would say". "Huh, right" said John, as he sighed, lamenting a little that Maria herself was actually moving on pretty well. He was happy for Maria, just feeling pity for himself, wishing he could have found a meaning for himself "Well, that seems nice and all; but if all things are alright around there, what excatly you need from me?" "Oh John, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude... Look, me and my boyfriend are going for a small vacation on the capital for the month... And, well... I thought that perhaps you could take care of our little boy. What do you say?" "Well Maria, that would be lovely, but I'm not sure about that" he says, taking a good look around his living room, which alone demonstrated how much John didn't mind living in a dump. "Oh please John, I'm sure you two boys would do great. Besides, as I said he's really well behaved; please John!" "But Maria I..." he sighs, thinking to himself that he wouldn't have much to do for the next whole month; he would have a vacation break from his job, which he would mostly spend alone by himself, either watching television or just jacking to videos on his phone. "Well Maria, it's fine, I can take care of the boy". "Really?! Oh thank you Josh! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We're going by your house to leave him there by the evening, is that alright?" As Josh heard it his eyes opened wide in shock; his whole house, though small, was a mess; he wasn't really ready to hear that they would be leaving the boy there so soon. He was almost to the point of refusing the whole thing, but surrendered to the thought of actually helping his Ex, afterall, at least he could feel he was doing something to help someone. It was decided, the boy would come around early evening the next day; Josh would repeat that to himself in his mind as he finally reached the light-switch, turning the lights on to stare at the huge mess his living room was by itself. "It is time to clean" he said, to himself. - 2 - Early evening was about to come; Josh made his way around the house as fast as he could, moving from room to room so he could verify if everything was actually in oder and neat for a young's dog arrival; they have only been divorced for around six years, so he didn't know exactly how young the little puppy boy would be. He has never taken care of a kid, he wasn't sure of what to do; if it didn't know how to talk, how was he supposed to know what he wanted? And what if it didn't walk? Would Josh need to carry him around all the time? These mind buggling questions slowly drove him a little paranoid that he should have refused once he still had a chance, but everything seemed to be too late now; he had not only been cleaning since he got Maria's call but also since he woke up that earlier morning. Once he finally made sure everything was in order, he took a very deep breath and began to make his way to his beloved couch. One oversight of his cleaning routine was some bits of chocolate candy drops left over his couch, he always has those everyday, it's pretty much an addiciton. He swipped the couch with his bare hands before sitting down, eating the bits that got on his hand as he waited for Maria and her boyfriend to arrive. He counted every second of the wait, not entirely sure if perhaps he should be more relaxed or more nervous than ever; he wanted to do it to give back to a person he has always felt he disappointed, while still having to accept a responsibility he never felt as if he was ready for; he never planned to have pups himself, and there he was, taking care of one for the month. After what seemed to be forever, the doorbell rang. Josh jumped from the couch and walked slowly to his door, he tried his best to hide his nervosism once he opened his front door, and he seemed to be rather surprised by what he saw. Maria, the sweet shiba woman he has always knew, together with a very, very hunk pitbull man; in the middle of those, a very small dog boy, surprisingly older than what Josh expected; by the time they were divorced, he was waiting for a little creature that barely managed to talk and walk, and would also only shit itself; but not only he could walk and talk, he didn't really look like a shiba, nor a pitbull. "Josh, this is Garry. Garry, that's Josh, my ex-husband" Josh tried to wave friendly for the hunk guy, he would only answer with a intimidating growl whole pulling Maria closer to him. It was actually a surprise, since Josh never knew that Maria seemed to like guys that tried to be all though; she has always seemed to more light and docil. "Anyway, this is James, my little doggy-boy! Come on James, say hi". The small pup looked up at Josh, being breast-height of Maria, barely reaching above Josh's waist. He seeed pretty nervous while carrying around a rather heavy and mostly filled schoolbag around. "Hello, mister Josh" said James, looking up to Josh, into his eyes. "Uh... Hey there, pup" Josh tried to seem friendly towards the little pup-boy, giving an awkward smile. "Don't worry Josh, I know that James will behave; you'll barely notice he'll be around! Look, inside his bag is everything you need to know, allergies, some medicine, some lists with his daily schedule..." Maria would keep on listing useful things that would be inside the little pup's bag, and Josh would actually appreciate how careful of a mother Maria actually was. As both Maria and Garry made their way back to the car, Josh would have guided the pup inside, waving a final goodbye to them while the car made it's way far down the neighborhood's street. Josh would be distracted staring into nothingness, he really wasn't sure of what to do now; he had a pup that wasn't his to take care of, and no idea if he could actually manage. Thankfully, he had Maria's number, so any emergency or anything going wrong at all could be notified to her. That thought would keep rushing inside his head for a while, that's until he felt some tiny fingers rubbing against his butt. The sudden sensation made Josh almost jump in place as he stared behind him; James seemed to be rubbing on Josh's butt for some reason or another, leaving Josh weirded out for a whole moment. Before Josh could start feeling any more weird about this, he stared into the young pup's hand, he held what seemed to be a chocolate drop, slowly putting it inside his mouth and started munching on it. "Wait, what were you?..." asked Josh, flabbergasted, and rather, embarrassed. "I found chocolate on your pants" said James. "Oh, the chocolate drops... I must have sat on some..." It began to get late, and Josh watched some television, with James playing with some of his dolls by his side on the couch; it all was pretty calm for the rest of the evening, with the pup really being almost an angel from how quiet he was and how well he would actually obey Josh's commands. He never thought that taking care of a little pup would be that easily, oftenly when mothers say their offsprings are well-behaved, it's mostly a bad signal for the opposite, and Josh would know that, since his mother has done the same with him; but this pup wsa different, so incredibly quiet they barely shared a single word. Time for dinner was to arrive soon and Josh was thinking of having some pizza left overs, but perhaps it was best to order something new - and preferably fresh - since he had a guest for the month. Josh, weirdly enough, kept thinking about what happened since James had arrived. Not just about how surprised he was at the pup being older than he though and how sudden Maria's call had seemed; but this whole thing seemed too much for him to think, and he would rather just try to let it flow. Josh grabs his phone to check on the time, and ends up getting a notification from a messaging-app; instead of being Maria, it was actually a friend of his. [Brute: Hey chub] That friend of Josh's was actually a pretty close one; since he divorced Maria he tried to hookup with other people, and ended up doing so with a rottweiler named Brute. The guy was pretty well built, a nice ass and a nice figure in general; really perverted and really into Josh overall. They kept contact and would rarely meet. [Josh: What is it Brute? I'm kinda busy tonight] [Brute: Wow man, bold of u to assume that I want to fuck] [Josh: I never said that] [Brute: Aight, u got me. Anyway, what makes u busy today?] Josh didn't really know exactly how he should approach the subject, he thought of telling the whole story bit by bit; but then, soon realized he would have to type more he was actually willing to. [Josh: Remember my ex? Taking care of her pup] [Brute: A pup? How long have u 2 been divorced?] [Josh: Around six years, I got surprised too] [Brute: Huh, never tought of u as a babysitter. Is he cute?] [Josh: Why does that matter?] [Brute: Send me a pic~] Being rather bothered by Brute's attitude, he just stared for long to the chat app. [Brute: U there?] [Josh: Why do you want a pic?] [Josh: Also, why the squiggly line?] [Brute: Come on man, don't play hard. Just wanna know if u good a cute pup under ur cheeks] [Josh: Hey, hey man. You're acting weird, stop it] [Brute: Come on, don't tell me u don't get weird too] Josh was left a bit embarassed, thinking back to the chocolate scene from earlier; he doesn't really know exactly why, but whenever he goes back to that though, he feels a weird feeling over his stomach. [Brute: Am I wrong?] [Josh: Not really, I guess] [Brute: Oh yeah? What makes u say so?] [Josh: It's just that the pup rubbed my butt] [Brute: And u tell me that I'm the weird one huh] [Josh: There was chocolate drops on it!] [Brute: Mhm, right :) Did u like it?] At this very moment Josh was frozen in place; he didn't know exactly what to respond. Brute was being much of a weirdo for his taste, afterall James was a pup. Josh takes a look at him again, and just as he was before, he still played with his dolls on the couch, not paying attention to the television at all. He took a glance at his phone's screen for a moment, feeling his shorts tightening around his waist more than it usually does. He takes a moment to think. [Brute: So?] [Josh: ... Fuck] [Josh: Yes] - Continuing? -
