Malus was conceived to have an excuse for the same character getting into vorish scenarios, so he had to have some reforming powers. In his case, it was thanks to being a half demon who had spent most of his life in the abyss, which made him less intrinsically tied to his physical body: should he die, he would simply form a new body, as long as he still had enough demonic energy left to do so, just using whatever remained of his last body as a sort of kernel.
And being the child of a Succubus and some male black cat adventurer unknown to him, his usual method of replenishing energy is to drain it from a male during the act of sex, leaving the partner anywhere from blissfully exhausted to drained of all his energy and just a hunk of dead meat.
The latter of course was the first slight foray of mine into the realm of being the "pred", if you can call it that, myself, though that kind of energy vore is I think definitely a lot less popular than all the other types.
Eventually, I did want to try out more vore with humanish prey, so since I still liked the character and backstory, I went with the idea of having Malus had some encounter that was a lot more than he could deal with, leaving him bereft of a body and the means to reform as just a floating soul with litle strength left. In that state, he would inhabit the body of a stillborn child, using the last of his power to bring it back to life and spending the next years dormant, growing up in a normal modern world without any memories of his previous life.
That would only change when he was already an adult and had his first vorish encounters, going through quite a few instances of waking up somewhere, naked and with no memories of how he had gotten there or what exactly had happened the night before.
The original Malus, a form his current catboy self can still assume now that he has come into his powers and memory, has not seen that much use lately, but I was still very happy to have it drawn by \r\n\t\t\t\t\t
