how rampant racism is in the furry community, namely with native american characters that come from some nameless Plains tribe so they just end up coming out as a really offensive and generic noble savage. So, I set off to create a character that looks like how native americans ACTUALLY looked like.\n\nI bring you Alchesay's Son. Alchesay's Son is named so since, in Apache culture, names are sacred and aren't always a birthright. People who did not have a name were simply referred to as \"That guy/girl\", or \"[Fathers name] son/daughter\". Even if one had a name, people wouldn't call them by it unless it was special circumstances, such as a sacred dance. Since Alchesay's Son hasn't earned his name yet, that's what everyone calls him. It's also why he isn't wearing any eagle feathers: Eagles are sacred, and their feathers are not fashion accessories. They are earned through only the most courageous of tasks. \n\nIt took a long time to design him, and not gonna lie, the first few sketches were pretty bad. I made a list of requirements for what he should look like.
