He huffed, ready to call it a night, when something caught his eye—a peculiar patch of earth tangled with shiny, green rubbery vines.\n\nCuriosity got the better of him. He crouched, claws slicing into the rubber roots, their strange, smooth texture slipping under his grip. With each cut, more vines writhed and revealed a pathway beneath, like the earth was peeling back to reveal a hidden lair. The air down there was oddly warm, carrying a sweet, almost inviting scent. Against his better judgment, he climbed down, his paws landing softly on a floor layered in thick, shimmering green goo. Pumpkins lined the chamber, each more ornate and unusual than the last, with impossible grins and eyes that seemed to follow him.\n\nThen, suddenly, something slick and cold wrapped around his wrist. He barely had time to react before more rubbery vines lashed out, coiling around his other arm and his legs. He tugged, but the roots held fast, spreading a thick layer of rubbery goo that oozed over his fur, seeping between his fingers and tightening around his limbs.
