And when the park closed these tubes were used for other purposes by the employees\nThe nose tubes were inserted deeply into his nostrils, making breathing a constant reminder of his captivity. The mouth tube was secured tightly against his lips, making it impossible for him to speak or eat in any other way. The rubber mask was sealed tight around his face with the rubber lion mane, leaving no room for escape or any hint of his true identity.\nDavid had learned to breathe and eat through the tubes, but it was a constant reminder of his loss of freedom.
