  "description": "I try to have eye-catching yet informative thumbnails, but with more stress on the content previews than flashiness. That said, I still like them to look nice, and was wondering how well the thumbnails were working for my readers. Thumbnails are a critical thing when it comes to writing submissions in my eyes, and want to make sure mine work while still being visually interesting and simple. Something I realize would just be best to ask about, instead of assuming.\n\nThis is pretty much the very first thumbnail design template I've had since beginning posting, and I haven't changed it much beside the different radial icons for my different series/worlds. (How is that, by the way? Being a recent thing, I'm not sure if it makes things too convoluted, or does it actually help distinguish story basics at a glance?) But recently I tried having the main symbol be a bit less zoomed in, to show the full picture. While I do like having the full icon visible, it just feels... [i]off[/i] to me. In an attempt to not chalk this up to stubbornly sticking with my first draft, I was wondering if any of you had thoughts on the matter, or on my thumbnails in general.\n\nThe goal of this is to refine it with outside input I cannot provide. I have never stumbled across this thumbnail randomly with no knowledge about it, and can't really say if it grabs, while informing. I mean, I also think it looks pretty cool, but the fuck do I know, my only experience with this is a graphic design class in highschool.\n\nAnyways, first one is zoomed out, second is the more classic zoomed in, and the third is a brighter one, as I was also wondering about how dark/bright the icon should be.
