It was getting late and the group of lizards were still far away from their camp. They agreed it would be wise to stay in one of the houses for the night. The only red lizard from the group decided to look for something to salvage outside as the other three green lizards were setting up camp in the bedroom of the abandoned house.

Suddenly, the lizard’s getting pinned down by an Ishtar warrior. He panicked as he was no warrior himself, so he was begging for his life.


“Please, don’t kill me! I was just trying to find some food to survive the night! I’ll do whatever you want, but please don’t kill me!”


The dark-skinned lizard was about to deliver a fatal blow but stopped. He decided to test this cowardly lizard.


“Hum… Perhaps I may leave you alive if you do something for me.”
“Yes, yes! Anything!”
“Very well. Are you willing to betray to your cause for your life?”
“Wh-what? Yes, absolutely!”


As expected, the red lizard is too selfish that he would be willing to betray his friends if his life was threatened.


“Very well! How about you prove it by killing your friends and humiliate them? I know you are hiding in this house!”
“Y-Yes! Whatever you want!”
“Good! I wish you good luck then!”


He was hesitating for a moment because that he might as well being killed by his friends if they discover his betrayal. He then remembered that he could mix some herbs and make a sleeping powder and use it on the food, which should be easy to do since he was charged with doing the cooking for the group! Fortunately, he was able to find the necessary ingredients and then came back to the group to bring up his plan into action. Shortly after, he brings the food to the other lizards.


“Hey, you’re not hungry?” Said one of the lizards.
“Nah, I ate while I was doing the cooking”, as he lied to the other.
“I see why? That food taste good!”
“Oh…”, said another lizard “I feel sleepy all of a sudden”.


It worked! The power was strong enough for the three lizards to be dropping out cold. The red lizard felt bad about it, but he preferred to be alive. Besides, they aren’t really his friends. He then carried the bodies on the beds and decided to strip them naked as a form of humiliation. However, they were handsome, so he then started to feel them for a while. Not long after, the Isthar warrior entered the room to observe the results.


“Very good! I see you have managed to deal with them without much effort!”
“Th-Thank you!”, said the red lizard, startled by his presence.
“I see you are also having fun with your targets”, as he observes the scene. “No wonder, they are looking well built”
“Y-yes, they are”, replied, timidly.
“How about you finish the job before they wake up?”
“Of course!”


As he’s finished observing the bodies, he slowly moves his hands to the first lizard’s head.


“Forgive me… But I prefer to live. To bad, because you looked cute!”, as he looks at the unconscious lizard, looking peaceful as he sleeps. 


The red lizard then made a quick twist of his friend’s head and a crack could be heard. His chest stopped moving shortly after. He went ahead with doing the same with the other two. The dark-skinned lizard then approached behind him with clapping hands.


“Good job! I thank you for saving me the trouble of disposing of them!”
“Th-Thank you! So, you are going to let me live?”
“Ha ha ha, of course! How about you join us? You looked to be pretty resourceful!”
“Y-Yes! I will like to!”
“Alrighty, then! Let me tell you the most important rule of our tribe first”, as he approached the red lizard even further.
“Y-Yes! What is it?”
“We kill the cowards”


Shortly after he said that, he went ahead and quickly snapped the red lizard’s neck. His body felt limp under a second with his eyes wide open. He then proceeds by stripping him naked and leave him with the other corpses.


“Thank you for the loot, though!”, as he left the room, leaving the bodies at the mercy of the creatures nearby.
