"description": "The creature log for a critter I made as a minor consistent antagonist of my pathfinder campaign. Unfortunately my players held no interest in it and never engaged.\nI might write a story with some Exoriadat love in the future.\n\nTwo amazing pieces of art made by Hecreat!( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/hecreat/ ) Show them some love.\n\n\nExoriadat [eks-or-eye-ah-dat]\nLawful Neutral. Large. Outsider\nAklo, Common, Draconic, Sylvan.\n\nDevilish in mannerism and demonic in appearance. This creature is neither, but born from primal instinct and powerful emotions made flesh within the reaches of the far realm. For the effects of magics however it registers as Fey. It's true form is that of a large quadrupedal beast with ashen black fur, 4 crimson eyes, 2 whiplike prehensile tails, flowing black feathered wings, curling horns, paws with large claws, and the body of a predatorial ram.\n\nHighly-intelligent, but self-motivated and purely self-interested. The Exoriadat will often approach mortals in a voluptuous humanoid form of a ram-headed woman in a silken black dress. These beings are neither male nor female, but always hermaphrodites regardless of shape.\n\nThey are primarily compelled by a primitive hunger for prey or satisfaction of the hunt. Their gluttony is almost without end or equal, able to fully engulf and swallow creatures of equal size to it with only minor difficulty and reduction to speed. Should one be particularly greedy, they able to do the same to creatures one size larger at the cost of immobility and reduced defense until the meal can be digested. However they can be tempted by nearly any primal urges and others can curry favor with them by indulging in and cleverly acting upon animalistic instincts.\n\nOften approaching desperate mortals with a deal. They use their powerful magics or large stores of treasures to make said mortal's wish more or less come true. The price? The Exoriadat will eventually hunt down and devour the victim. This can happen in weeks, months, or years. But they will always come for their payment and the thrill of a hunt. They make no distinction between good and evil beings. But find intelligent chaotic creatures less appetizing. The Exoriadat will always respect a refusal to accept it's bargain or game and simply move on to other prey. It may also refuse unreasonable or impossible wishes.\n\nOne bargaining with an Exoriadat can stave off the hunt by offering tribute in nearly any form that might satisfy a primitive urge of the being. Often calming them with tributes of gold, food, prey, or possibly sex should the bargainer be particularly bold or charismatic. However these are only stopgap solutions, and the Exoriadat will always seek to exact it's agreed-upon payment eventually.\n\nThe only way to stop an Exoriadat is to accept the hunt and defeat it. Proving yourself a superior hunter by banishing, subduing, or slaying the creature will absolve a victim of any lingering contracts with it. Some may even earn it's respect and loyalty or love if they prove themselves worthy.\n\nThe Exoriadat is very territorial and can always detect an intruder within 1mile of it's nest. Approaching in a civil manner at first to either make a bargain or deter intruders. But lashing out violently if rejected, or retreating to stalk and weaken their prey with vicious spells if the individuals seem too powerful. This however does not apply to those who have been invited by the creature.\n\nLoot:\nThe Exoriadat's rapid and powerful digestion is highly specialized for consuming creatures, and creatures alone. Incapable of breaking down any form of gem or forged metal. They will usually expel this material not long after a meal. Anything of particular value is often kept in their nest to tempt future victims. Trace amounts of valuable materials and even magic linger within it's gut. Over time forming 'pearls' of highly concentrated rare metals and magics that grow in size or number with time.\n\nParticularly ancient Exoriadat can tap into these pearls as an auxilary source of magics. Or express them as new abilities and permanent enchantments until slain.\n\n\nWell Fed: The Exoriadat gains regeneration, strength, and increased speed for an hour after any suitable meal, or while digesting a victim.\n\nMark of Exoriadat: The locations of victims tagged by the Exoriadat's whiplike tail are known to the creature for 24 hours regardless of distance. The Exoriadat gains increased bonuses against marked prey.",
