  "description": "Finished on July 31 2023\nRelease on August 10 2023 It was supposed to be release on the 31.\n\nSo it's been a while and I haven't posted anything since the last few days of July. The reason for my absent is because, there was a bad storm that cut my power and my internet. So on the last day of July I was out if power for about 7 hours. My lights were able to be turn back on, however my internet was not so lucky. It took about a week until my internet would come back.\n\nHowever this horribly put my schedule out of whack. So this month might be a bit of a slow month for me. \n\nAnyway about this picture. This is Cookie, Now for years she was a character I thought was created by Dick Huemer. Until after drawing this picture that Dick looked at the drawing. Dick Huemer had neglected to tell me the true story of Jinx and the JinxToons as a whole when he gave me the rights.\n\nApparently Cookie was not created by Dick Huemer but was instead created by Ralph Welsh and Ray Abrams who was animator for Walter Lantz. Jinx was created in 1937 after Ralph was fired from a job working a Walt Disney's studio.\n\nShe came from a drawing of two cartoon girls coming out of the showers with annoyed expressions. One of those girls was a black Minnie Mouse looking puppy. Ralph decided call her Jinx named after a another character that had the same name. A Felix the cat knock off of the same name. However she was then later renamed Cookie by Ray Abrams\n\nJinx was then paired with another character Patty Panda who was created by another Lantz animator Manuel Moreno. She made her first appearance in a unofficial comic he made in 1932 called Kinky.\n\nRalph wanted to start his own animation studio, to compete with Disney's. However it was easier said then done. Ralph was able to get people like Ray Abrams and Manuel Moreno to help with the animation.\n\nHowever Bud Crabb who was partners with Ralph couldn't fine any distributors to distribute the cartoons. To make matters worse World War 2 had enter America and Ralph was then drafted in 1943 pretty much killing any attempts to put Cookie in films.\n\nAfter the war Ralph brought some of his characters from his Kinky comic to make Twinky Toons that would later be re named to JinxToons. Much like how the animated cartoons would have been.
