  "description": "I had this idea for a graphic novel once. This was an idea for a scene from one part of it where the leader of a tribe is crucified by an invading empire after their defeat. There is a certain religious parallel, as she does come to be seen as a martyr/messiah figure to her people, and she does get resurrected in a sense. But there's meant to be a historical parallel as well. While not shown here, the conquerors putting her to death are not a rival tribe of wolves, but actually dinosaurs. I've come to see the so-called \"great civilizations\" of the past, especially the ancient Romans, as akin to dinosaurs. Crude, barbaric, bloodthirsty, far less evolved than the people they raped, pillaged, tortured. They put many of our ancestors to death on the cross, thinking they could terrorize history into wiping our kind from its pages. Instead, we came to write that same history, and when their kind went extinct, we reduced them to little more than a footnote. Just as the the mammals would the dinosaurs.\n\nMore disturbing than the obvious to me was that some found this picture to be erotic. I couldn't agree more. But it's no less disturbing for it. Quite the opposite in fact.",
