I don't think I've had a more difficult year than 2014. I bet not many of you knew it, though, did you? I don't make a habit of broadcasting my life struggles all over the place, because largely no one cares and also the ones who do care talk to me in places other than the Internet.

But I've come out the other side much stronger than I used to be, and I have tools to put into place next time the shit hits the fan. And it will, because that's how life works.

1. Black Rhino (tough hide represents imperviousness to outside forces, thick skin)

2. Monarch Butterfly (symbol of both hope and transcendence)

3. Turquoise robe/skirt (emotional healing and spiritual recharge during stress)

4. Diamond horn/s (durable and everlasting, beauty through trauma)

5. Inscription: “Fortitudine Vincimus” (“By Endurance, We Conquer”)

6. Buddhist lotus position (meditation and mindfulness in all things)

7. Chin mudra (http://thechalkboardmag.com/mantra-.....day-chin-mudra)

Worth the pain.
