At least it was the 'one bite and you're fucked' kind of undead, but still, this was some bullshit. Thankfully he was able to get some decent armor and the Blacksmith was thankful enough to make him a weapon once Cheshire had picked the lock to his shop for him. Small miracles in a land where almost every damn thing seemed to want to kill him in some way or another, when all he wanted was to find out how the bloody-fucking hell he could get home.
Giant floating knights, trolls, giants, and, most recently, poison clouds and giant damned bugs. He'd almost thought he'd found some solace in a few friendly looking ladies, until they started hucking fireballs at him.
Now the latest star in this carnival of things trying to murder him was a large Snake-woman holding a spear in one hand and her own head in the other, and the bitch was damn relentless.
Backing off, trying to collect himself, Cheshire was greatly surprised when she threw her head directly at him. The feline dropped his sword, catching the severed head on instinct, and found himself staring right into the woman's blank, faintly green-white eyes. For a moment, things seemed to slow, her pouty, black lips parted...
...and Cheshire saw that damned blue glow start to build in the back of her throat!
Thinking fast, but definitely not thinking clearly, the feline decided to shut her up in hopes of stopping the spell.
...It kinda worked. Across the room, Mytha's body froze solid, her blank eyes going wide as Cheshire sealed her mouth with his own, her sorcery dying in the midst of her surprise. Mulling over her options, her past and the fate of her fallen husband, Mytha began to return the kiss, her body slinking up behind the feline.
Cheshire, caught up in the closest thing he'd had to 'Good News' in a long time, failed to notice the body moving until his legs were tightly wrapped. Panicking, he nearly dropped the head to the ground, only for Mytha to catch herself by the hair, the head smirking as her free hand, Cheshire just now noticing it was lacking her spear, reached into his pants as the head chuckled lightly, giving Cheshire a smile he happily returned.
This was certainly a better turn of fate than he'd had in a long damned time.

So I've been playing Dark Souls 2 for the last couple months or so. I'm very slow to progress with my game style, but I have to say I really liked Mytha and her backstory made her kind of a lamentable figure to me. A shame she had to die for me to progress.
