"writing": "Chapter 1: Sins of the Father...\nWinter Season of Sevana\n\nThe wind blew through the two warriors like an icy dagger. The snow had started to fall heavier and heavier, almost like the land wanted the war to end. Both warriors holding their blades tightly, waited for the first to show their move. One of the two warriors flipped his blade around into a more aggressive stance. \"You should have never come here. You were never a fighter, you will never be what I have achieved...not in this life.\" His voice was colder than the air they breathed. With a twitch of the tail the other warrior lunged forward, holding a long katana like blade in the right hand and gauntlet covering the entire left arm. The fight ended just as fast as it started. The young fighter who charged was struck down to the ground. The older fighter smirked and sheathed his blade and turned away from the body on the ground. \"The Sirens have failed you...If you can't beat me, your own father. You will never end this war. You better wake up....Stryx.\"\nStryx woke up whimpering and a sharp pain in his chest. \"Mommy! Mommy!\" Stryx cried out, tears swelling up in his eyes. Vahlielle rushed in to the sound of her pup crying in the dead of night. She wrapped her arms around him and tried to calm her son. This was happening for almost 3 weeks straight. Stryx's father had disappeared in the last conflict between the Wolf Kingdom of Lyrcia and the Human Kingdom of Ordos. The fight had taken a turn for the worst at one of the bordering cities. Since then, Stryx has had the same dream every other night. Vahlielle was at a loss for what could be doing this to her son. At 7 years of age, he shouldn't even know what a sword was. All she could do was comfort her son and prayed to the Sirens the torment would end. Tonight would not be so easy however. Sinopa had heard his brother’s cries and came to investigate. Sinopa was a young fox that Vahlielle had taken in many years back. The curious fox wandered into his younger brother’s room and his ears drooped down at the sounds of his brother still whimpering. \"Mom...What’s wrong with Stryx, why is he crying?\" Sinopa said quietly standing by the door. Vahlielle's ears perked up and turned to her other son telling him that Stryx was just having a bad dream and spent the next hour staying with both her sons till they fell asleep.\nWith winter starting to make it presence known, the morning brought no comfort to anyone in Lyrcia. Unfortunately it hit the small village of Voidveil harder. The small mountainside village was becoming little by little a front line to a horrific war that already claimed one of their greatest warriors. The human Generals Lorek and Casstelle were a mere month’s march from the village. Stryx and Sinopa were outside playing with the rest of children when smoke rose from many points just beyond the horizon. Blissfully unaware of the current events the kids continued to play while the rest of the villagers worried and planned for an escape. At the same time, some the villagers notice something happening to Stryx. His fur was changing week after week. Blood red streaks had slowly started to form on his body. No one Vahlielle's family had red fur and nor did her husband’s family. All those thoughts and worries were all shattered when they heard screaming coming from where the children had been playing. What the village thought would take a month took hours. The village caretaker Lillian, who had been watching the kids, was struck down without thought or mercy. Heavily armored knights called Guiltseekers had entered the village by the tens. Just one Guiltseeker alone could take on 15 warriors. To make matters worse, General Casstelle Aggadeem was leading them. She is a tall, slender, lightly armored, warrior said to be more lethal than holding a steel pole in a lightning storm and just as fast. She was also the most ruthless of all Ordos’s General’s. The village guards rushed out in vain to stop the humans from their advance, but were slaughtered before they laid blade to armor. Casstelle stood at the center of the village and looked around at the terrified villagers.\n\"Sooo. This is the famous village of the Sirens. I thought Voidveil would be more defended than this.\" Casstelle muttered to herself. \"Mage! Locate our target so we can get out of this pathetic place.\"\nA Mage stepped out from the crowd of Guiltseekers and started chanting. The ground around the mage started to glow brightly but suddenly shifted to a black flame. There was a loud scream as the mage was rapidly bent in blood curdling ways then sucked into ground where the black flame had formed. The Humans jumped back many feet and drew their weapons. \"What the hell just happened!? What evil have you animals brought to this world!\" Casstelle roared.\n\"A sacrifice has been made to us and we shall answer the call. As for being called Evil and the ones that serve us animals...hm...This will not be allowed.\" A ghastly wolf like being rose the ground black as the night with a chilling fog emanating from beneath it. \"I am the Siren of the Void and These are my people. Leave this land or suffer the fate you set for yourself.\"\nCasstelle went pale for the first time in her life. She never believed in these stories of wolf like demons living in remote towns. She thought they were stories to scare people away... but this…This was real. Casstelle needed to report this right away. She sounded for a retreat and the Guiltseekers ran like cowering dogs along with their fearless leader. The Siren turned to her people and called forth for her summoner. Vahlielle stepped out from the crowd. \"You have summoned me and then gave me a more the proper sacrifice, but you ask for more...is this correct?\" The voice of the Siren echoed throughout the village. \"Yes your grace. I wish to ask for your protection in these dark times.\" Vahlielle had dealt with this Siren before but her voice still shook in the Sirens Presence.\n\"This can be arranged, but the Sins of the Father will pass to the son. Stryx may pay for your husband’s sins or he may take my blessing and make his father pay for the crimes he committed.\" The Siren pointed towards the young Stryx who was still in shock from the massacre that had just taken place. Vahlielle's heart just shattered. Not only did she find out that her husband was a traitor to the Sirens but her son had to pay for it. Tears rolled down her face as she told the Siren to give her son Stryx the Blessing of the Void. Unknowingly to Vahlielle, the Siren never planned to have Stryx sacrificed. In fact she had been slowly preparing his body for the blessing since his father had vanished in the war. The red fur forming on his body was the Sirens work. She called out to Stryx to come to her. \"It is okay my dear. I have the means to stop your nightmares. I know what scares you and I Sevana will end that fear.\" Sevana's voice was much softer than before. She maybe one of the more strict and costly Sirens but she held a caring side to those that needed it. Stryx started to walk forward after Sinopa helped him up. Sinopa like the other pups were terrified. Stryx made it half way to Sevana when he was lifted into the air as Sevana raised her arm. Sevana gently pulled Stryx the rest of the way to her and softly stroked the side of his face. As she did the red markings became more apparent and formed a pattern. It was something that startled the villagers. The markings on Stryx's body outlined his skeleton except for his face and left arm. Stryx's left arm glowed red then faded leaving behind a long tribal like markings. Sevana whispered to Stryx how to end his tormenting nightmares. When he needed help, to raise his left arm and think of her. Stryx nodded lightly, tears still rolling down his face. Sevana gently set Stryx upon the ground and set her paw on his cheek.\n\n(download for the rest) ",
