The earth was too unstable, and a tunneling team had to be brought in, just to shore up the walls. Now that they had patched all the holes, and put out all the fires, they finally let you in, to retrieve his remains.\n\nRounding the last corner, you expect to find a neat pile of dust on the floor where he fell... That's what happens to resonance supported organisms. At the time of their death, their resonance dissipates, and they simply fade away.\n\nTo your utter confusion, you find not a pile of dust, but his entire corpse, somehow standing on its remaining legs.\n\nHe moves his head slightly, causing you to lock up in terror. You can't tell if he can see you... or if he even know's you're there...\n\nThis can't be! Surely this is all some sick nightmare, or a hallucination of some sort. You had been there... You watched as the beams that supported the ceiling, gave out. When the center column fell, it sent debris flying with enough force to tear him apart. you still see that image when you close your eyes, and hear his strangled little yelp, as though it still echoed off the walls.\n\nNoticing the arrows lodged in his chest, you can't help but wonder who else had bumped into your dead friend down here, in the weeks that it took to get back in.\n\nYou wouldn't be surprised if he just stood there, where he is now, hardly reacting to each arrow as they buried themselves in his heart.\n\nJust as you begin to ponder how to proceed, the undead creature that was once your friend moves again...\n\nTurning its head sharply to look right at you, it begins to hobble with terrifying speed, in your direction.\n\n~~\n\nnever let me write things at 3 in the morning",
