Art by VitaminU ", "writing": "It had been a long day but finally the sun was starting to wane. As it dipped lower in the sky the air quickly became cooler and cooler. Thick clouds had formed fast around the horizon and most had moved on to relaxing indoors. For Vi and Cuddles however they had found themselves enjoying the serene shade of the nearby forest, with cool grass and peaceful rivers. \n\nVi lay on this grass with his hands behind his head and body soaking up the warmth of the dying sunlight. Cuddles meanwhile hopped about the edge of the clearing in search of flowers and sweet grasses. Once they had picked up a few they brought them over to Vi who, with their eyes closed, sniffed the air a few times.\n\n\t“Wild Foxglove and Northern Lemongrass.” \n\tVi said casually.\n\n\t“That’s amazing, you got them right again!”\nCuddles’ said as he threw the handfuls of flowers and grass all around Vi.\n\t“I’m gonna find something you don’t know. Gotta be something.”\n\n\t“Good luck.”\n\tVi replied with a smirk. \n\nHopping away. He went further out from the clearing and searched along the mossy stones of the river and the cold shade of old tree roots for something rarer or at least more interesting than common meadow plants. It was under a log that he found a small white mushroom with little brown speckles. Picking it, he sniffed it and found no real scent at all. Which ironically meant it might be the best option. \n\nCuddles’ ran back to the clearing and held it near Vi who sniffed it a few times. They hummed to themselves and pursed their lips in thought. Cuddles’ could not help but bounce up and down in excitement of finally winning. \n\n\t“Rain?”\n\t\n\t“Nope! It's a mushroom!”\n\n\t“Silly, I meant it’s gonna rain.”\nVi sat up and turned their eyes to the grey clouds growing thick by the minute. \n“We should head back before it comes down heavy.”\n\tOnce they stood up they brushed the grass from their legs.\n\t“First to get home is the winner?” \n\n\t“Yeah!”\n\nCuddles’ ran off at speed, leaving Vi behind in the clearing with his quick rabbit steps. This lead was short lived however as Vi gave chase and soon approached. They did not overtake him however and instead kept a close and consistent distance. Cuddles giggled and ran around the trees, hopping over logs and dashing through knee high grass while thinking they were winning. Vi meanwhile was simply enjoying the exercise and the wonderful view of a frisky, naked, bunny running gleefully through the forest like the wild rabbits of old. \n\nThe pair made their way through most of the forest quickly but just as the town got within sight, the clouds suddenly burst and a warm torrent of fresh rain began to patter down heavily. The spaced out canopy of the trees protected them until the pair reached the edge of Cuddles’ cottage but the dash across the gardens, while brief, still ended with them being completely soaked. \n\nThey both scrambled through the backdoor and into the living room. Cuddles headed upstairs to get some towels while Vi stayed behind to light the fire. While the air was still quite warm, the rain was not and the night was only going to get colder. \n\nVi threw some of the spare wood into the fireplace and used a match to light it before standing up and turning their eyes to Cuddles who had just come back with some fluffy towels. Vi took one and wrapped it around their shoulders to help catch the rain running down their hair. After that they took another and threw it around Cuddles’ head. \n\n\t“Today was really nice.”\n\tVi said as they helped to dry his hair.\n\n\t“Yeah, the pool is not normally that exciting. Shame about the rain though.”\n\n\t“Hm, I like to think it was just on time.”\n\tVi said as they took the towel from his head and wrapped it around his body. \n\t“Wanna know why?”\n\tThey asked while running their hands all over Cuddles. \n\n\t“S-Sure?”\n\nVi used the towel wrapped around Cuddles’ body to pull them in close before letting it drop to the ground. They leaned in until the pair were almost rubbing noses before sliding a hand along Cuddles’s chin. The shy bunny boy melted to the touch and blushed but Vi moved their head to his side. \n\n\t“I’m really hungry.”\n\tVi whispered seductively before pulling back with a chuckle. \n\t“Come on, you can be my beautiful assistant.” \n\nCuddles let out a shy giggle and rubbed his arm awkwardly at being led on so easily. It took him a second but once he realised that Vi had already left, he shook off the embarrassment and trotted on after them. \n\nWhen Cuddles entered the kitchen he found his old black apron being tossed his way. After catching it ungracefully, he looked it over and put it on. Looking to Vi he then realised that they were not wearing one themselves. Vi leaned on the counter with amused eyes and a soft smile as they looked Cuddles up and down. \n\n\t“You wear a lot of black, it’s a good colour on you to be honest.”\n\n\t“Thanks, it’s not my favourite but it goes well with any other colour.”\n\n\t“Ah, a practical approach. Quite the clever bunny you are.”\n\tVi tapped their fingers along the counter top before throwing their eyes to the fridge. \n\t“Let’s see what we got around here.”\n\nStrolling up to the fridge, Vi swung the door open dramatically. They stood with their hands on their hips as they looked over the mountain of carrots that filled up half of the fridge’s space. \n\n\t“Call me curious but how do you even eat this many?”\n\tVi asked with a raised eyebrow. \n\n\t“Well I don’t normally have this much, they were just super cheap because the harvest turned out better than usual. I was planning on having a carrot party later this week…”\n\n\t“Carrot party? Carrot party… Can you peel the carrots while I get the stock going?”\n\tVi asked as they grabbed several carrots and tossed them Cuddles way.\n\n\t“Sure thing!”\n\nWith Cuddles left to sort his carrots, Vi went searching through the cupboards for anything else to use for the rest of the meal. They pulled out chicken stock, fresh herbs, leftover vegetables and a tin of soup among other bits of seasoning. After putting a large pot of water on the stove they turned their attention to Cuddles who was sharpening a large knife. He picked up a carrot and with surprisingly efficient movements had it peeled in seconds. Cuddles then placed it on the counter and cut the top off before hesitating. \n\n\t“How chunky do you want them?”\n\tCuddles asked.\n\n\t“Finely cut, with a bigger chunk or two from each.”\n\n\t“Gotcha.”\n\nThe knife danced along the counter top, shredding the entire carrot down to small pieces without any effort. Once it was done Cuddles slid the orange pile to one side and got started on another carrot. His posture was relaxed and he wore a lazy smile but his hands tore through the carrots with speed and dexterity alike. \n\n\t“Fuck, that’s kind of hot.”\n\tVi muttered as they sprinkled some salt and pepper into the water.\n\n\t“Hm, what did you say?”\n\n\t“Oh nothing, can you cut a few extra into sticks too?”\n\t\n\t“Alrighty.”\n\nVi watched from the side of their eye as Cuddles got a few more carrots from the bridge. With a snap they cut the top off. A few clean cuts and he had cleanly stripped the outer flesh away. Cuddles then scored and cut the carrots into little sticks within a minute. Pulling his eyes away, Vi wrapped some foil around a baking tray and drizzled it with oil before laying out the little carrots sticks across the surface. Once they had sprinkled some salt, honey and paprika on them, they put them in the oven to roast. \n\nTurning their attention to the now simmering pot of seasoned water, Vi put in a chicken stock pot cube and some herbs before stirring slowly. From the chopping board they then added the large pile of shredded carrots. With that out of the way, Vi took a sharp knife and carefully peeled some garlic and cut some onions. \n\nCuddles had become quite curious by now and stood close behind Vi as they put some butter into a frying pan and tossed in the garlic and onions to sizzle. Once things had started to turn golden Vi threw the lot into the stew pot and began to stir them around. \n\n\t“Mind washing this for me?”\n\tVi asked as they handed Cuddles the frying pan.\n\n\t“No problems.”\n\n\t“Shame you don’t have any white wine in here. We should go shopping some time.”\n\tVi said as they added some extra seasonings to the pot. \n\n\t“That sound’s fun, but I don’t think the market has ‘wine’ I am afraid.” \n\n\t“I figured, nothing but whole milk and fresh orange juice in these parts.”\n\nWith the stew getting hotter, Vi added a bit of flour and gave it a good stir. They took a blender from the side and popped the lid off to quickly check how clean it was before taking it over to the stove. They blended half of the stew until it was smooth and then added it back into the pot and mixed things together until the stew became a chunky yet silky texture. \n\n\t“What are you making? Never seen this sort of recipe before.”\n\n\t“Highland Carrot Stew, with a few touches of my own. Here.”\n\nVi took a spoon and scooped some of the stew out of the pot. Offering it to Cuddles, he leaned in close and blew the hot spoon a few times before gently putting it in his mouth. His eyes lit up.\n\n\t“That’s amazing! So simple and sweet and tasty.”\n\n\t“It’s a good way to get rid of a lot of carrots too.”\n\tVi mused as they used the spoon to get a little more and give it a taste themselves. \n\nWith the carrot sticks toasted to a crisp, golden finish, Vi pulled them from the oven and left them on the side to cool. The stew meanwhile was not far off itself and after giving it a few more stirs they turned the stove off. With two bowls of stew and a bigger sharing bowl of carrot sticks all done, Vi poured out some juice and took the lot into the living room via a large metal tray. \n\nCuddles had already pulled off the apron and replaced it with one of his T-shirts by the time Vi had put everything out onto the coffee table. He took a bowl and a spoon before nestling himself down all cosy and cute on the sofa. \n\nVi took a moment to throw some wood on the fire and put some music on to run quietly in the background before sitting down themselves. They tried a few of the sweet carrot sticks to start. Finding them delicious, Vi took their bowl and leaned back to enjoy everything. It was still raining outside and it mixed nicely with the chill music to create a very relaxing atmosphere. The cottage was nice and warm due to the crackingly fire and had a lovely mix of smells, from earthy woods, to sweet vegetables, to the warm smell of a cute rabbit. Vi took a spoonful of the stew and found the flavours to be just right. Comfortable and warm, perfect for such a rainy day. \n\nThe evening ran on slowly and by the time they had finished with their stew the moon was already starting to rise. They continued to take it easy but Vi quickly noticed how many carrot sticks Cuddles was going through. \n\n\t“You really love carrots.”\n\tVi said as Cuddles threw more into his mouth. Their eyes wandering down Cuddles’ half naked body for a second, before snapping back up to his pretty eyes. \n\t“It's not hard to see why, they grow them really sweet around here.”\n\n\t“Yeah, nice and big too. Even one is enough to fill you up.”\n\n\t“Pfft. Well said. Would not mind some dessert though.” \n\n\t“Oooh, do you have something in mind?”\n\nVi put a few of the leftover carrot sticks in their mouth and scraped off the honey and salt onto their tongue. Scooting over to Cuddles, the cute bunny looked at him innocently until Vi suddenly put a hand on his cheek and went in for a deep kiss. It tasted sweet, salty and so very pleasant. Cuddles relaxed under Vi’s touch and they used that moment to push him down onto the sofa cushions. \n\nVi pushed himself up against Cuddles and rubbed their growing erection against the soft fur of his privates. Vi lay on this grass with his hands behind his head and body soaking up the warmth of the dying sunlight. Cuddles meanwhile hopped about the edge of the clearing in search of flowers and sweet grasses. Once they had picked up a few they brought them over to Vi who, with their eyes closed, sniffed the air a few times.

\t“Wild Foxglove and Northern Lemongrass.”

\t“That’s amazing, you got them right again!”
Cuddles’ said as he threw the handfuls of flowers and grass all around Vi.

Hopping away. He went further out from the clearing and searched along the mossy stones of the river and the cold shade of old tree roots for something rarer or at least more interesting than common meadow plants. It was under a log that he found a small white mushroom with little brown speckles. Picking it, he sniffed it and found no real scent at all. Which ironically meant it might be the best option.

Cuddles’ ran back to the clearing and held it near Vi who sniffed it a few times. They hummed to themselves and pursed their lips in thought. Cuddles’ could not help but bounce up and down in excitement of finally winning.

Vi sat up and turned their eyes to the grey clouds growing thick by the minute.
“We should head back before it comes down heavy.”
\tOnce they stood up they brushed the grass from their legs.
\t“First to get home is the winner?”

Cuddles’ ran off at speed, leaving Vi behind in the clearing with his quick rabbit steps. This lead was short lived however as Vi gave chase and soon approached. They did not overtake him however and instead kept a close and consistent distance. Cuddles giggled and ran around the trees, hopping over logs and dashing through knee high grass while thinking they were winning. Vi meanwhile was simply enjoying the exercise and the wonderful view of a frisky, naked, bunny running gleefully through the forest like the wild rabbits of old.

The pair made their way through most of the forest quickly but just as the town got within sight, the clouds suddenly burst and a warm torrent of fresh rain began to patter down heavily. The spaced out canopy of the trees protected them until the pair reached the edge of Cuddles’ cottage but the dash across the gardens, while brief, still ended with them being completely soaked.

They both scrambled through the backdoor and into the living room. Cuddles headed upstairs to get some towels while Vi stayed behind to light the fire. While the air was still quite warm, the rain was not and the night was only going to get colder.

Vi threw some of the spare wood into the fireplace and used a match to light it before standing up and turning their eyes to Cuddles who had just come back with some fluffy towels. Vi took one and wrapped it around their shoulders to help catch the rain running down their hair. After that they took another and threw it around Cuddles’ head.

\t“Today was really nice.”
\tVi said as they helped to dry his hair.

\t“Yeah, the pool is not normally that exciting. Shame about the rain though.”

\t“Hm, I like to think it was just on time.”
\tVi said as they took the towel from his head and wrapped it around his body.

\tThey asked while running their hands all over Cuddles.

\t“S-Sure?”

Vi used the towel wrapped around Cuddles’ body to pull them in close before letting it drop to the ground. They leaned in until the pair were almost rubbing noses before sliding a hand along Cuddles’s chin. The shy bunny boy melted to the touch and blushed but Vi moved their head to his side.

\t“I’m really hungry.”
\tVi whispered seductively before pulling back with a chuckle.
\t“Come on, you can be my beautiful assistant.”

Cuddles let out a shy giggle and rubbed his arm awkwardly at being led on so easily. It took him a second but once he realised that Vi had already left, he shook off the embarrassment and trotted on after them.

When Cuddles entered the kitchen he found his old black apron being tossed his way. After catching it ungracefully, he looked it over and put it on. Looking to Vi he then realised that they were not wearing one themselves. Vi leaned on the counter with amused eyes and a soft smile as they looked Cuddles up and down.

\t“You wear a lot of black, it’s a good colour on you to be honest.”

\t“Thanks, it’s not my favourite but it goes well with any other colour.”

\t“Ah, a practical approach. Quite the clever bunny you are.”
\tVi tapped their fingers along the counter top before throwing their eyes to the fridge.
\t“Let’s see what we got around here.”

Strolling up to the fridge, Vi swung the door open dramatically. They stood with their hands on their hips as they looked over the mountain of carrots that filled up half of the fridge’s space.

\t“Call me curious but how do you even eat this many?”
\tVi asked with a raised eyebrow.

\t“Well I don’t normally have this much, they were just super cheap because the harvest turned out better than usual. I was planning on having a carrot party later this week…”

\t“Carrot party? Carrot party… Can you peel the carrots while I get the stock going?”
\tVi asked as they grabbed several carrots and tossed them Cuddles way.

\t“Sure thing!”

With Cuddles left to sort his carrots, Vi went searching through the cupboards for anything else to use for the rest of the meal. They pulled out chicken stock, fresh herbs, leftover vegetables and a tin of soup among other bits of seasoning. After putting a large pot of water on the stove they turned their attention to Cuddles who was sharpening a large knife. He picked up a carrot and with surprisingly efficient movements had it peeled in seconds. Cuddles then placed it on the counter and cut the top off before hesitating.

\t“How chunky do you want them?”
\tCuddles asked.

\t“Finely cut, with a bigger chunk or two from each.”

\t“Gotcha.”

The knife danced along the counter top, shredding the entire carrot down to small pieces without any effort. Once it was done Cuddles slid the orange pile to one side and got started on another carrot. His posture was relaxed and he wore a lazy smile but his hands tore through the carrots with speed and dexterity alike.

\t“Fuck, that’s kind of hot.”
\tVi muttered as they sprinkled some salt and pepper into the water.

\t“Hm, what did you say?”

\t“Oh nothing, can you cut a few extra into sticks too?”

Vi watched from the side of their eye as Cuddles got a few more carrots from the bridge. With a snap they cut the top off. A few clean cuts and he had cleanly stripped the outer flesh away. Cuddles then scored and cut the carrots into little sticks within a minute. Pulling his eyes away, Vi wrapped some foil around a baking tray and drizzled it with oil before laying out the little carrots sticks across the surface. Once they had sprinkled some salt, honey and paprika on them, they put them in the oven to roast.

Turning their attention to the now simmering pot of seasoned water, Vi put in a chicken stock pot cube and some herbs before stirring slowly. From the chopping board they then added the large pile of shredded carrots. With that out of the way, Vi took a sharp knife and carefully peeled some garlic and cut some onions.

Cuddles had become quite curious by now and stood close behind Vi as they put some butter into a frying pan and tossed in the garlic and onions to sizzle. Once things had started to turn golden Vi threw the lot into the stew pot and began to stir them around.

\t“Mind washing this for me?”
\tVi asked as they handed Cuddles the frying pan.

\t“No problems.”

\t“Shame you don’t have any white wine in here. We should go shopping some time.”
\tVi said as they added some extra seasonings to the pot.

\t“That sound’s fun, but I don’t think the market has ‘wine’ I am afraid.”

\t“I figured, nothing but whole milk and fresh orange juice in these parts.”

With the stew getting hotter, Vi added a bit of flour and gave it a good stir. They took a blender from the side and popped the lid off to quickly check how clean it was before taking it over to the stove. They blended half of the stew until it was smooth and then added it back into the pot and mixed things together until the stew became a chunky yet silky texture.

\t“What are you making? Never seen this sort of recipe before.”

\t“Highland Carrot Stew, with a few touches of my own. Here.”

Vi took a spoon and scooped some of the stew out of the pot. Offering it to Cuddles, he leaned in close and blew the hot spoon a few times before gently putting it in his mouth. His eyes lit up.

\t“That’s amazing! So simple and sweet and tasty.”

\t“It’s a good way to get rid of a lot of carrots too.”
\tVi mused as they used the spoon to get a little more and give it a taste themselves.

With the carrot sticks toasted to a crisp, golden finish, Vi pulled them from the oven and left them on the side to cool. The stew meanwhile was not far off itself and after giving it a few more stirs they turned the stove off. With two bowls of stew and a bigger sharing bowl of carrot sticks all done, Vi poured out some juice and took the lot into the living room via a large metal tray.

Cuddles had already pulled off the apron and replaced it with one of his T-shirts by the time Vi had put everything out onto the coffee table. He took a bowl and a spoon before nestling himself down all cosy and cute on the sofa.

Vi took a moment to throw some wood on the fire and put some music on to run quietly in the background before sitting down themselves. They tried a few of the sweet carrot sticks to start. Finding them delicious, Vi took their bowl and leaned back to enjoy everything. It was still raining outside and it mixed nicely with the chill music to create a very relaxing atmosphere. The cottage was nice and warm due to the crackingly fire and had a lovely mix of smells, from earthy woods, to sweet vegetables, to the warm smell of a cute rabbit. Vi took a spoonful of the stew and found the flavours to be just right. Comfortable and warm, perfect for such a rainy day.

The evening ran on slowly and by the time they had finished with their stew the moon was already starting to rise. They continued to take it easy but Vi quickly noticed how many carrot sticks Cuddles was going through.
