But, again, to really embrace my inner (and sometimes outer) hipster, some of you people might be aware of the original version of this song as it was recently used in a Door Dash (I think) commercial. I started working on this remix about a year before that commercial aired and I found the song years before that. If you're interested, I definitely recommend listing to the original! It, and Franzl Lang himself, has such a positive energy that, even though it's in a different language, I can feel the joy he feels in yodeling! Especially in his song \"Wenn ich jodle, bin ich glücklich\"~\n\n🐾 I was deeply saddened to learn that he passed away before I was able to experience his music. I would have wanted to extend a massive \"Danke schön\" for making such delightfully enjoyable music. In remixing this song (and any song, for that matter), I needed to learn what key it was in, meaning I had to learn how to play it. If you listen closely (also noticeable later when the vocals disappear), there is a synthesizer playing the vocal melody alongside the vocals. I learned how to transcribe the main yodeling sections by ear, which was a challenge in itself. After that, I had to figure out how I wanted the remix to go, and, honestly, I didn't want to make it too intense or anything too... whatever the hell riddim is.
