Whip. The pressure in his cheeks causes them to pop as he struggles upwards hopelessly. His lungs
are almost empty and his blood-oxygen level is doing down. The pressure of 40-ish meters of water
forces the water into his nose. He stops trying to hold Shadow Whip and holds his nose. He
involuntarily swallows the sour, sterile water and holds his nose, hoping for a painless end.
Shadow Whip turns around and looks at Hihhin with tired eyes. He's not dead yet. “How are you
still alive?”, Hihhin thinks before the lack of air finally causes him to pass out, his unconscious
body now drifting in the deep water. Shadow Whip's last act is to nuzzle, and then he passes out as
if falling asleep. Both men's unconscious bodies sink, still aroused by each other.
During this scene the trainee watches. Both men are unconscious. Surely that would be considered
in danger. She assumes Hihhin is closest to death and swims towards him. She grabs his
unconscious body and holds her breath, then pinches his nose and blows it into his mouth. That will
buy him some time. Next, Shadow Whip. He blocked Hinnin from rescuing him, surely he’s slightly
better off. She does the same again, blowing her breath into Shadow’s nuzzle. She grabs both men’s
front legs, once in each hand and tries to swim them up. They’re both heavy but it’s the right thing
to do. As she swims up, she occasionally pauses to blow air into each man’s mouth and hopefully
keep them alive just a little bit longer. It’s a long ascent but she’s determined to not let these
