  "description": "My submission for The Jeweled Horn's Sizes charity folio\nTo see more entries and to get involved, check out:\n[url=https://www.furaffinity.net/user/sizes]sizes[/url] \n\nThis gentleman is a size 34, and that rakish tilt of his head and softly confident smile (not to mention his already long neck) suggested that a flamingo would be an appropriate alter ego.\n\n4x12x1 canvas, primed with housepaint (I love the mismatched colors bin!) sketched in white charcoal and soft graphite, grisaille with Golden Open paints (Titan Buff and Payne's Grey), then glazes in Golden Open Alizarin Crimson. Final step: a cut-in, Leyendecker-style (my intent and goal, at the very least) with white, to meet the requirements of the project.\n\nIn all honesty, one of my best pieces. Ever.\n\nThe only thing I'd change would be to put on a barrier of medium between the grisaille and the color glaze. As you can see, especially around the neck's shadow, the further application of Golden Open (thinned as it was) started to break down the polymer of the grisaille layer, like brushing /into/ a dried layer of watercolor, instead of brushing /over/ it. Oh well...lesson learned.\n",
