  "description": "I got invited to a room party at FC this year. As I approached the door, I heard the sound of panpipes and tambourines and gruff, manly laughter. I knocked seven times, just as the invitation had instructed.\n\nThe door opened, but instead of the short hallway with closet on one side and bathroom on the other—just like every other room in the hotel—I found a darkness, thick and heavy as velvet. The sounds of laughter and music were louder now, so I pushed forward.\n\nAs I progressed and the darkness lifted, I found marble plinths instead of latex-painted gypsum board walls, and stone flags instead of short industrial carpet. My toe brushed against something, causing a clatter of empty bottles.\n\nClearly hearing my entrance, a boisterous voice cried out: \"Ah, you came!\"\n\nI was greeted by the sight of a...it couldn't be. I blinked and rubbed at my eyes: no, it was no costume. I could smell the faint barnyard aroma of his shaggy legs, and his ears flicked as he grinned at my discomfiture. A very plump, very cheerful (and probably very drunk) satyr was standing before me, shifting from cloven hoof to goaty cloven hoof.\n\nIn the gloom behind him, I noticed other forms cavorting - half animal, half human, and all very manly indeed. The clink of glass and glug of booze and chortle and moan of men in amorous pursuits echoed off the arches and columns soaring above.\n\n\"So, you want to join in?\" he asked, bottle in one hand, belly in the other. \"I promise it'll be a good party.\"\n\nHe was wrong. It was a great party.\n\n---\n\nStarted as a sketch of/for ceithen (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ceithen) at FC this year...but then I accidentally spilled some ink on it (odd how it flowed onto the linework), and then splashed my watercolor paints all over, and even dropped some colored pencils onto it. Don't you just hate when that happens?\n\nAll in all, a fun little mythological romp that just kept growing. Thanks to ceithen for being such a great model. \n",
