So yeah, shota Tum! AKA Humelo, or the much worse, Tuman.
It's something I've talked a lot about but never got around to getting.
I've always had ideas for it somewhere in the back of my mind, but I've always struggled with picturing exactly how he'd look. For a long while I considered him being Melanesian, since the bright blonde afro-textured hair was inspired by blonde Samoan people. I eventually settled on him being Melanesian and Polynesian mixed, since he's always been written as a Polynesian fur.
We used some concept art from Disney's Moana to get his face right. And he's freckly, of course. Cheetahs never lose their spots~ :3
With this pic, I decided to finalise some updates to Tum's design - human form notwithstanding - such as dropping the, well, honestly, touristy looking flower print shirts in favour of some Maori and Hawaiian inspired designs. There was a very minor amount of Rapa Nui in my design refs that didn't quite make it in, too. I also decided to keep his hourglass figure, so he doesn't have the 'adonis' thing going on. I like Tum being a bit feminine bodied - it hits an even ground for me, since both him and I are enbies.
Also, Xie did an amazing job drawing Tum's locs here. This has to be the best they've ever looked! They're absolutely beautiful.
With this pic set I've also updated Tum's necklace(s) and bracelet. I've let artists draw them how they saw fit before, so it was nice to get them solidified - for instance, the stones on his bracelet are all sea glass. And wow did Xie do an amazing job rendering the textures! It looks like real sea glass! :D

Xie is a wizard o.o
Tum likes wearing dresses on special occasions, since he's non-binary. Before I've only dabbled with giving him a few simple outfits that expressed that - a really long time ago, too; I was referring to him and myself as bi-gender, which isn't quite it for us. x)
I found this particular design after browsing loads of sun dresses and sleeveless summer dresses. I forgot where I found it, but I thought it was perfect for him. Originally I was considering him wearing a half shawl over his right side; something a little asymmetrical. But this works much better. The shoulder showing is really cute too. And, if you look closely, you'll see that Xie made that portion of the dress, and the lowest leggy bits slightly transparent, which was a super cool touch!
Green is probably his best colour. Earth tones, goes well with his blonde fur and hair, matches his eyes... I didn't want him to be wearing green in both outfits, so the other is more autumn~
I have no idea what his right ear looks like as a human. Probably a little gnarly. idk.
