With any luck, I may come across a derelict space craft somewhere on this planet which I could salvage for parts, or at least piece an emergency transponder together to hail any passing space vessels to land and provide a rescue. I've packed a portion of my rations to last me several weeks. I hope there are some edible plants on this barren planet that could provide sustenance once the food runs out. ______ Captain's Personal Log Stardate 3322.11.29 The jungle has proven to be quite an adversary, but i've managed to make my way out of the jungle after the rather "unfortunate" encounter with the Lover's Vine (Or fortunate, I can't really decide). I've already run out of rations, but fortunately the fruits and fungi found in the chasms have proven edible and agreeable to my biology. Unfortunately I've found no signs of any derelict vessels, abandoned bases or components of a sufficiently advanced level of technology that I can use yet. My search continues, taking me out into the rocky highlands with what little food I can fit into my backpack. ______ Captain's Personal Log Stardate 3322.12.25 I’m alive, and inside the safety of my ship after having launched into space at the time of this writing. Much to my poor fortune I had a nasty fall while scaling down the face of one of the numerous cliffs on Lotsarohks, and the last thing I could remember was losing my footing and tumbling down the side of the cliff before dashing my head and blacking out. The next thing I knew, I had awoken in the medical bay of an old spacecraft and held no memory of how I got here. A quick scan of my surroundings revealed that I was in the company of a highly intelligent gelatinous creature that, despite being incapable of speech, showed remarkable aptitude and skill in operating and piloting a retrofitted Somentech MKIII Scout drone it uses to get around, as well as the medical equipment that had healed my wounds while I was unconscious. Further investigation revealed that the vessel once belonged to a former member of the Explorer’s League that had gone missing during an assignment many earth cycles ago, when the League was still a relatively small organisation and hadn’t developed its database and technology far enough to track and account the whereabouts of all of its members. I spent the next day or so extracting the datalogs from the ship’s computer as well as disassembling the skeletal remains of the deceased to return to the League seeing how they’ll likely be interested in acquiring both; one add to its archives and the other return to their next of kin for a proper burial. But that’s not all. Many of the ship’s components are still salvageable and space-worthy despite being overgrown by flora in the years since it had crashed and settled here, and I now have the parts I need to repair the emergency craft to depart from Lotsarohks! I wasted no time to take what I needed and return to the crash site to begin repairs, and after a week I managed to successfully launch myself and escape the planet. I have my transponder active and broadcasting an SOS signal out while I slip into one of the common routes used by commercial freighters, so I’ll likely be picked up soon and sent back to Headquarters. Until then all I can do is rest and get to know my new travelling companion, whom I have taken to calling ‘Gui’ in reference to the nature of their soft body as well as their remarkable aptitude for handling technology. It’ll be nice to have some company on these trips from now on. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t | \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

A wonderful comic series that I had commissioned Pezsierra to draw for me, detailing how Captain Penny runs into one of the crew members that accompany her on her many adventures in space, and tying in the last few pictures that I had gotten of the space captain to come up with a final conclusion!
I was trying to decide for a long time how i wanted this story told, and after seeing Pez's skills with creating comic formats I knew I had to hire her to help me tell this little story, and the results was as great as I had expected! She had put a lot of hard work and effort into helping me tell a story with no dialogue. <3
