Nys had taken an excursion to a public park outside of the Warren. Like she usually did for Jean's 'adoption' parties, she had used her tail to relocate many willing humans to her location. But this time she was trying something different. "Alright, anyone who's still up for it..." The anaconda explained, squinting a bit even behind the tinted lenses protecting her eyes. At the same time, the loop in her tail raised from where it lay in the grass to be upright. The girthy limb's own weight made it sag to nearly trapezoidal where it rested on the ground, though the muscular engagement to keep the loop upright forced the cross section back into its oval shape. "Just step on through the loop. Otherwise, stay back and when the rest are done, I'll send you back home." One human, a near obese man who kept near the back, raised his hand. "Uh... what do we do when we're doing that?" Nys smiled. "You picture your true self." There was some general chattering amongst the crowd, as a mid-twenties human with androgynous features made their way over to the loop. They stepped through. On the other side, a maned wolf stood tall, clearly masculine in appearance. The same clothing that had hid the human's body type showed off the canid's lanky frame. He looked down at his paws, flexing his fingers, and immediately started to wag his tail. The crowd started towards the loop of tail immediately upon seeing the effect to the first. The heavyset male who'd spoken up earlier came out the other side full feet shorter and just and round and soft. His clothing had changed from all-covering loose garments to a simple loincloth, his whole body on display from the horned tip of his snout to his girthy tail. The new kobold flexed his fat fingers and squeaked happily. A couple went through holding hands and came out the other side with feathery digits entwined. The herons pressed their faces side-by-side to not clack their beaks together and headed off to one side happily. Nys, meanwhile, hardly had to focus on maintaining the effect. She was checking the messages on her phone as the lives of dozens of people were so fundamentally changed. The human population of the park dwindled to none. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ After a quick shower after the last incident with a milking station, Jean was back out walking the halls of the Warren. The curvy kobold hummed to himself without a care in the world, nodding to the many kobolds who he passed. One in particular perked up and headed his way. Psi came to a stop upon seeing the person he was approaching had a short, rather stubby tail. 『Parent?』The young psychic looked perplexed. Jean smiled brightly. "Oh hi, Psi!" The matriarch planted his hands on his swelling hips. "How are that last shipment of tenga eggs treating you?" Normally Psi was used to his parent being a bit squeamish to talk sexual things with him. The surprise was momentary, though. 『The most recent acquisition is wonderful. I tried out the new geometric stimulus designs!』 He started to ramble on from there, his thoughts running faster than most mouths could operate. Jean nodded, seeming to take the flow of information from his son's mind directly without any trouble. "You're such a good boy Psi. Though you really should think about donating some of that output to the tanks sometime." The blue-scaled psychic blushed purple. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* A loop of green-tinged anaconda scales appeared. Nys rose from them and the remainder of her coils manifested shortly after. She was on a rocky outcropping on the side of a rural hill. A derelict house awaited her, the front steps leading down onto the flat stone of her arrival. She hummed to herself, eyes darting around the façade behind her lenses. She set her tail to neutral buoyancy and started up the steps. Beneath her bare feet, the weathered and worn wooden steps lost their patina, the sagging shape of lost mass reverting to fresh hardwood. Signs of termite damage sealed themselves up as proper footings formed. The torn up screen door ahead of her reknitted itself and popped back up onto its hinges. Nys opened the screen door and touched the handle of the front door behind it as the brass finished tarnishing in reverse. The bolt undid itself and the knob turned easily. The hinges squeaked in dismay at being moved after so long, but the sound faded rapidly as friction vanished. The peeling paint on the façade pulled itself back up to the wood, the pigments growing more vibrant with every moment in a wave from the anaconda's position. The flooring inside unwarped as she started through. She peeked into the kitchen. The black splotches of mildew and mold faded as she turned to continue through the structure. The groans and creaks of wood settling sounded but for the opposite reason as they were normally heard. By the time she reached the door leading down into the building's basement, the house looked like fresh construction. Her tail was still trailing in through the front door when she took the steps down into the dark basement. A tug on a pullcord lit a single light bulb, revealing the space. It was hardly subterranean due to the rocky foundation, explaining the need for the steps up to the 'ground' level hardily. As Nys reached the center of the basement, she reeled her tail in, threading it through the doorways and halls to join her downstairs. Once it was all floating about the level of her waist around her, she pressed the tip to one wall. Carefully and methodically she laid it out to evenly press along the perimeter of the space. Once her tail met its tip, she made another flesh-bunching turn in her limb to press onto the floor, forming a loose inward spiral to where she stood. Last, she let her hind limb support her weight, pressing her hands against the floor joists that made up the ceiling. Then she pushed. Her tail's position expanded as the floor beneath her fell away. Floor clearance of seven feet turned to ten feet, then twenty. Fifty. The spiral of her tail unspooled itself to keep contact with the floor as it dropped deeper, the walls turning into the very stone that the house was built upon as if the descending loop pressed to the wall was deleting the material in its way. Nys gripped a bit tighter on the floor joist, swallowing, before she carefully adjusted her tail's position again. Now all of the length was against the four walls. Nys let go of the floor joist and let herself lower into the space a bit more. She closed her eyes and then pressed. The clean cut walls bowed, then their geometric perfection gave way to organic shapes, the type carved by millenia of water erosion. The shape of the shaft changed, skewing towards the center of the high hill outside and bringing the 'floor' back up to the basement steps towards the high end. The cavern grew beneath the little house on the hillside, hollowing out the ground beneath it significantly. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Dear gods I'm hungry..." Jean muttered. He was standing in the midst of a great deal of milling about kobolds near the base of the Warren. "Hungry all over." He cleared his throat. "Hey, who wants to be part of the matriarch for a while?" He called out loud enough to be heard a few stories upstairs. Almost instantly the milling mass of draconids going about their business turned into a crowd gathering up around Jean. His loins swung into existence. Jean grasped onto the top of his foreskin and tugged, revealing that it wasn't attached just behind the glans of his mighty member, but was rather more like a sheath. As soon as this was revealed, two kobolds pulled the skin open further and started wriggling in on either side of the rapidly firming shaft. Their bodies stretched the surface, making it clear that it connected far deeper, perhaps beyond the root! At the same time, the matriarch felt another kobold kneel under his stubby tail and start nuzzling at his hardly hidden folds. With a pleased groan and a lick of his lips, he let go for his foreskin. The instant it settled back into place, the bulges smoothed away, leaving no visible sign of the pair that had crawled in. He could still feel them wriggling just fine, however. He spread his stance a bit and crouched over the nuzzling bold underneath him, trembling at the wonderful sensation of being spread. Psi had kept near his parent since their last interaction, due to some lingering feelings of something being off in the psychic's mind. He was substantially flustered by the display, however, dangling by his tail from a nearby balcony. 『I didn't realize you could absorb people that fast, Parent.』He commented through their mental link. A writhing kobold tail slurping up between his folds, Jean stood back upright with a chuckle. "Oh I'm surprised you don't know just how much of me is hammerspace, Psi..." As he spoke he felt a pair of hands tugging his pouch open as another long tail pressed against the side of his muzzle. He responded to each of these in kind, opening his mouth to accept the offered limb while one hand went to scoop under the other kobold to upend them into the flap of flesh covering his lower belly. Jean's cheeks contracted as he sucked. The kobold on the other end of the tail squeaked in glee as all that noodle was sucked in cartoonishly fast, yanking the prey's feet right off the ground. Almost faster than the blue psychic could track, his fellow long-tail was folded over and sucked past full, pursed lips. The matriarch's cheeks were filled out as if he'd merely filled his mouth with some kind of fluid, then he swallowed, a curvy lump sinking down his neck. The last of the kobold climbing into Jean's pouch was sealed away as the belly hardly appeared to swell at all from an entire extra kobold. Then again, the one vanishing into the matriarch's netherlips hadn't shown at all either. "You know, I've had about a dozen world-ending cumshots in the last hour." Jean grinned cheekily. "My balls are feeling a bit peckish." Psi didn't even get a chance to see the next pair of kobolds dive for his parent's cock. Both were merely long tails slurping into his erect shaft's slit by the time his gaze went from one part of Jean to the other. The matriarch stretched his arms over his head and gave his hips a shake as the tails vanished entirely from sight, his balls jolting down from some internal impact for a moment. "Oooh... come on, come on..." Jean purred, licking his lips. "We're just getting started~" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Nys hummed to herself as she looked around the wide basin at the bottom of the oblong chamber she'd formed. She finished looking through an image search on her phone for silver treasures as the last goblet popped into existence amongst the pile. Countless coins and jeweled cases and pendants and chains and sheathed athames and statuettes and rings and... All metallic silver in a broad mound. She tucked her phone in her pocket and pulled out her sketchpad. Flipping through the pages, she found the one she was looking for. A crude sketch to be sure, of a dragon laying on a hoard. One she'd spent a long time workshopping and redesigning. Even if the image wasn't what she had in her head, it was what was needed. The anaconda held out the sketch in her book to line up with the mound of treasure and closed her eyes, focusing. The sound of metal clanking and sliding against metal filled and echoed throughout the cavern. When she opened her eyes, the page was blank. She lowered the sketchbook and beheld the dragon. She was massive, as befitting the space. Lunar white hide covered her upper half, while her lower half was a more supple skin in sky black, perhaps a tint indigo. Her wings were draped loosely around the hoard, a comfortable position, while her forelegs were hanging off the 'front' of the mound. The beast's long neck rose higher still to her two-tone face. The snout pointed straight down at the serpentess. Nys let out a squeal of excitement. "This is perfect! Every kobold warren needs a dragon to keep them out of trouble!" "Why am I.... corporeal?" Tristan spoke, voice resonating throughout the space. The anaconda perked, standing up straight. "Wait, you know you're fictional?" "I am very much aware of what I am, and what you are, little fragment." The dragon's pupils shifted into their diamond configuration, the violet irises glowing faintly in the low light. Nys swallowed, unsure what was going on. "I... uh... do you object to being corporeal?" The great beast shook her head. "I just want to make sure you know just how much you're changing the world with just the actions you've taken today." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Jean let out a contented sigh, strolling towards the elevator. As he walked, a long blue tail slid upwards beneath his own stubby wagger, curling and twisting as it went. "Now that's got my itch scratched to be sure..." The matriarch chuckled and grunted as the tail vanished entirely, leaving no mark on his curvaceous figure. A gust of air and a clack of claw on tile alerted him to Ame's arrival. She stood upright and folded her wings to her back as he pivoted to look. "Oh hey, Ame! Sorry about earlier, I told you you should have run!" The urd sighed and held out a claw. "Jean, do you know where Nys is? I can't find her and she's not picking up her phone." Jean paused and held up a claw. "One moment." He closed his eyes. His oversexualized proportions faded, smoothing away to looking just like any other kobold once more. His ears twitched and he turned his head. "Okay, follow me." He opened his eyes and pivoted, walking into one of the doors adjacent to the bottom level's courtyard. Ame followed, walking after the cream-scaled bold. However, the momentary break in line of sight from a turn he made was all it took for her to lose him. Making the turn herself, he was nowhere to be seen. She walked to the other end of the corridor the door had led into, which just fed back into the courtyard. On the opposite side. "Hey Ame!" Jean shouted. She looked up and perked. Somehow, he had gotten four levels up in her moment of losing him. She beat her wings and ascended. "Try not to fall behind, okay?" Jean chuckled, his hips swaying as he turned to walk into another door. Ame dove through the door right after him, placing a claw on his tail as she got settled back on her feet. She was glad for the grip, because a sense of vertigo came over her. Jean kept walking. "Oh, holding on is a good idea, actually." He smiled amicably, even as space seemed to distort around him. The urd closed her eyes to avoid nausea for a moment. When she opened them again, they were on one of the top levels, without ever ascending stairs. Another turn through a doorway and they were on the same level as the top of the elevator shaft. The ruptured panel appeared to be entirely intact, no sign of the damage that was done before to the collection system. There were still a couple of the bloated kobolds lounging around, too tired to make the trip to anywhere else in the Warren. Ame took all of this in, before nearly tripping as Jean raised up. She turned her attention to where they were. Now they were at the base of a stone staircase leading up. "I thought we were at the top of the Warren?" Jean shrugged. "Nys is this way." The matriarch resumed walking up the stairs, hips swaying wider with how high each rise was compared to a kobold's body. The walls around the stairwell gave way from sheetrock into actual stones, then into solid granite. Then, the walls spread out, turning more natural in shape, curving outward and on... little divots on either side of the steps for tiny streams of water to flow along... *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Nys perked at motion from the corner of her eye, turning her head. The anaconda raised her brow. "Jean?" The kobold in question had just stepped into view from the tunnel leading deeper into the caverns, which could now be seen to have steps cut into it. Behind Jean, Ame perked up. "There you are, Nys! I've been..." She trailed off, staring at the dragon. Jean guided the urd along in her dumbfounded state. "She was looking for you and you weren't answering your phone." Nys squinted, eyes scanning over the slender kobold's bare scales. "Those twenty-seven had better be let out soon." The matriarch placed his claw on his flat chest with a mock gasp of offense, then grinned. His eyes turned to the dragon and he raised that claw to wave. "Hi Tristan!" The dragon merely looked amused by this. Ame finally found her words again. "Wait, Tristan is... That's your 'sona, isn't it?" Jean and Nys froze at the same time, eyes widening. They turned their gazes to each other silently. Tristan rumbled and held out a claw to gently draw Ame away from Jean. "Looks like the penny dropped for Janus. I was wondering how long it would take." The dragon gently raised and lowered her single digit like giving a handshake. "It's nice to meet you in the corporeal plane, Ame." The urd held onto that single claw with both of her own, still staring in awe. Nys felt all of the altered time and history going back to the first meeting with Geuse and before, how she had somehow re-written herself into being. Jean remembered how heavy his tail had been getting from all the excess mass from converts to the Warren, the immense length seeming to grow more powerful every day. "Perhaps it's time I call on someone who knows better." Tristan crooned, before exhaling silvery mist from her nostrils. The substance flowed and billowed, curling and twisting in midair. The vapor coalesced into a sigil all present knew. "Geuse." The dragon intoned, the force of their breath destroying the arrangement in the air. The mist continued to warp and billow about, spreading and forming into the head of a serpent. As it coalesced into more corporeal appearance, the silvery vapor seemed to self-replicate, like it was printing out the girthy body of an enormous snake. Geuse opened its eyes, regarding its summoner. "A fictive, how quaint." "A primordial. I am honored." The dragon replied. "My creator has been..." Tristan seemed to search for the correct word, eyes trailing over to the kobold and the snake still staring at each other. "Bifurcated." The serpent's coils filled more and more of the vast cavern with every moment, loops and curls continuing to be brought into being by the smoke-ring remains of the summoning medium roaring around the space unimpeded. It looked down over the pair. "Perhaps I was too restrictive with their ability to reshape the world..." Tristan glanced back to the serpent, brow furrowed with disbelief. "What?" "What what?" Geuse's expression was one of calm and assured confidence. "They've strained at their bounds so much they've ruptured into two..." Ame swallowed, the urd looking up at the entity at the largest she had ever seen it. "Are they supposed to become one again?" "Am I just an outlet for sexual fantasies?" Jean asked out of nowhere, breaking the silent gaze between the two halves. The serpent chuckled. "They aren't supposed to do anything. No obligation to fate or rule." Geuse shifted and slithered, coils sliding around and against one another in the large encoiled ring surrounding the kobolds, snake and dragon. "What do they want?" Nys stared up at the glistening, translucent form of the giant snake. Her mind raced as she tried to think of what she actually wanted. Jean spoke up. "I don't want my passions to cause so much disruption. My hedonism is... well, when I'm lustful I'm a downright terror. If it weren't for the nature of the Warren I may have hurt people, I'm sure." The smaller snake's nicitating membrane flicked across her eyes at the mention of the Warren. "I don't think it's right to force everyone we've touched to be part of our community." Ame tilted her head. "But the kobolds all entered into this willingly, apart from the natural-born brood..." Nys sighed. "They entered into the transformation willingly. We didn't even know the Warren would become a thing until a few rounds of conversion, remember?" She shook her head. "It was never part of the disclaimers or consent releases." Jean sighed, putting his hands on his lower belly, over where his womb was beneath the flesh. "That was what I was talking about with the passions..." He looked up as the others turned their attention his way. "Janus unconsciously gained maternal instincts for the converted, having carried them in their womb. Protective feelings. Possessive feelings." The matriarch sighed. "They wanted to provide for all of their kobolds." His counterpart looked down at him. "In order to provide for everyone without the use of the Warren, they would need far more influence over the world." Nys looked conflicted. "Is that not what you now have?" Geuse sing-songed in a light croon, head as large as the dragon herself lowering into the midst of its coils. Nys stood up a bit straighter. She thought of what she had done just today. Matter transfiguration. Backwriting plans to have already been enacted and set in place. Mass conversion of people into their idealized selves without use of a gestation period. Bringing a fictional character into living, breathing reality, with all of the powers and wisdom of a true dragon... She looked up to the silver serpent's eyes. "Would we retain this power if we reunited?" Geuse inclined its head slightly. "Not if you reentered the same configuration. If Janus returned to merely being Matriarch, you would be back where you started." Ame took a step towards the cavern-filling serpent's head. "Is it even possible to undo the Warren anymore?" "It is a knot in reality." It replied, eyes turning towards its second acolyte. "It must be cut and a more stable space created in its stead." Nys perked. "I could create a new warren wholesale!" She grasped her sketchpad. "It wouldn't need any of the homes as base materials that way." "Okay, while you do that, I'm gonna go rebirth all those kobolds I had for lunch." Jean said flippantly, walking a few steps towards the stairs back down into the Warren, only to find his path blocked by loops and loops of Geuse. The dragon raised a brow at that. Ame sighed. "Horny Janus and not-horny Janus really are two different people, huh?"
