Eon stood proudly at his full size. Despite his misadventures with intruders into his forest, he was keeping his spirits up. The dragon gazed down at the kobold that stood a mere tenth his height at the shoulder. The small reptilian made up for height in the sheer length of his tail, which was currently neatly coiled behind him. He knelt, and then bowed until his horns were pointed the same direction as his arms, brow touching the earth. 『Great Dragon! Guardian of the Forest! I implore you to grant me one treasure, to guard and hold.』 The blue scaled kobold spoke entirely through his thoughts. That enough impressed the dragon, but the deep respect shown was also quite persuasive. He blushed lightly as a thought came to mind. Thankfully at the great distance he was sure it couldn't be seen. Such a unique creature deserved to hold his most precious artifact, if only for a while. Eon was certain that he would be able to retrieve it without trouble if he saw the need to. And in the meanwhile its qualities could prove amusing. The white dragon cleared his throat. "What is your name, Kobold?" He gathered a claw close to his chest. 『The warren called me Psi, Great Dragon』 The blue kobold stayed prostrate. Thankfully his mental voice was not blocked by his posture. Eon unfurled his claw from his chest to reveal an egg-shaped sapphire, glowing internally. The dragon's heartstone. He gently laid it across the prostrate kobold's outstretched palms. Psi perked up, eyes widening at the size of the smooth gem, light reflected in his eyes. 『Thank you, Guardian! I will take great care of this treasure!』 Rather than pressing up onto his knees, he unfurled his coiled tail into a larger loop around his prostrate form and used that leverage to lift himself off the ground. He planted his claws on the earth and then raised his tail again, looping it around the heartstone until none of it was exposed. Eon watched the smaller creature do all this in a matter of moments. By the time the little kobold was walking off with a big bundle of tail containing the gem held behind his head, the dragon was turning his mind towards patrolling. Thankfully pollen was less common as the spring waned into summer. There were still trees he had to avoid, but meadows wouldn't be much of a hazard. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Psi walked along towards his small burrow. The blue kobold held onto his new treasure tightly. As he walked, he pondered the dragon. Truly a magnificent specimen, but nothing like what he expected dragons to be. The feathery wings for one thing, that wasn't what he expected at all. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Eon felt a familiar sensation of shapeshifting start in his wings. He hadn't given the order, so the other option was whoever held his heartstone. He turned his head, watching the feathers on his white wings smoothing away in a wave. The bare wingarms quickly flexed as the skin on them extended and connected to his back, forming membranes. The dragon had rarely tried out membranous wings, but it wasn't too unwelcome a change. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ By the time Psi was settled into his burrow, seated with his bundle of tail between his legs, he had conjured a whole new image of the guardian dragon in his mind. He looked over the stone bundled up in his tail and reached a claw to caress along it. It was so smooth. And the egg shape... The kobold blushed deeply. He had several other egg shaped stones, none nearly as glorious... but he used them for something very specific. This was smoother than each of them, and a bit larger than the biggest he had. Psi bit his lower lip lightly, looking down at the stone. A fire was growing in his loins. Well, the guardian wouldn't probably find out he did this. And the blue kobold squirmed in place. It was possibly the safest place to hide such a treasure... ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The guardian dragon was a bit embarrassed. Eon's changes had resulted in him looking quite like a traditional western dragon, with a rounder body and light blue scales. His horns had smoothed back into even arcs and his tail's trident had reshaped into a scaly spade. Still, it wasn't the worst thing to be transformed into. He was still imposing and powerful, and if need be he could override the changes, provided that the kobold wasn't actively thinking about them. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The reptilian in question was thinking about entirely different things at this point. Having greased the gemstone, Psi got himself into a nest of his tail, with the tip pressed up in the middle. Resting on a small loop at the tail's tip, was the heartstone, glossy and still aglow. The kobold inhaled, pressing the egg-shaped gem against his rear entrance. Psi shuddered at contact, his light blue arousal already throbbing atop his belly at the thought of what was to come. One of his claws wrapped itself around the shaft, while his tail flexed. His jaws went slack, blue tongue lolling out the side of his muzzle. He groaned vocally, eyes going unfocused as he did his best to relax the ring of flesh separating him from having that gem buried inside. The kobold pushed harder with his tail, only to slip. Before the gemstone could tumble to the floor of the burrow, a blue shimmer cradled it. Psi's eyes glowed lightly as he grasped onto the heartstone with his mind and pulled firmly. 『Get in me!』 Psi mentally cried out in need. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Eon perked as a blue glow began to surround his entire body. There was a tug in his chest as he realized what this was. He was able to take refuge inside his heartstone... or be trapped in it. The guardian dragon blushed as he lost corporeality, the blue glow lancing towards where the Kobold had gone. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Psi yelped as the egg suddenly lurched and popped through his ring. He squeezed down tightly on it, shuddering. His belly was bulged out by the size of the insertion, and when he used his free hand to press on it, he felt the hard stone through his flesh. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Eon found himself trapped within the heartstone as he'd thought would come to pass. Looking around, the illumination of the stone showed light blue flesh all around him. Did the little kobold eat it? The dragon squirmed and pushed about in his crystalline prison. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Psi gasped as the egg lurched inside him, directly against his prostate. The little kobold groaned wordlessly as he came all over himself, unware of just why the egg was shifting around so wonderfully in his bowels.
