He realized that Shadow was not a bad person after all. He wasn't that killing machine G.U.N wanted, just misunderstood and lost. All Shadow ever wanted was to find love, be loved and someone to be there for him. And after losing Maria and not remembering anything about his past he never had that. That is until he got together with Sonic.\n\nSonic was is Shadows personal library reading an action book when the red and black hedgehog walked in.\n\n\"Here I brought you some tea.\" Shadow said as he handed the cup to the blue hedgehog.\n\n\"Oh thanks baby.\" Sonic said as he took a sip.\n\n\"So what are you reading?\"\n\n\"An awesome action story, only 3 pages left and I will be finished. The is the 4th book I've read in 2 weeks of living here.\"\n\n\"Wow, you must love reading don't ya?\"\n\n\"Hehehe yeah,.... Whenever I'm not out jogging or kicking Eggman's butt , I'm usually reading.\n\nShadow was really amazed, he never new that Sonic loved to read so much. \n\n\"Hey you wanna go out tonight?\" Shadow asked\n\n\"Sure where you wanna go?\"\n\n\"Hmmmm, I'm not sure you can choose.\"\n\n\"Oh i know where we can go. Come on.\"\n\nSonic grabbed Shadow by the arm and made a dash out the door.\n\n\"WHOA...! Hey S-sonic where are you taking me?\" Shadow asked all confused.\n\n\"It's a surprise, you're gonna love it.\" Sonic said as he kept pulling Shadow in the direction he's going.\n\nWhen they finally reached their destination, Shadow looked around and saw that they were at a beach.\n\n\" Sonic... Why are we at the beach?\"\n\n\"Well its almost dark soon, and you told me that you never seen the sunset before. So I decided to bring you here so you can watch your first sunset.\"\n\n\"That's really sweet of you.\" Shadow said as he kissed Sonic on the cheek.\n\nBoth Shadow and Sonic sat on top of a big rock and waited to watch the sunset. As they were waiting, Sonic noticed a family of 4 walking by. Then he started thinking about what it be like if he and Shadow had a baby. But then he started to wonder if Shadow even wants to have a child.\n\n\"Sonic, I'm really glad you brought me here. I never seen such a beautiful sight.\"\n\n\"I'm glad you like it. I used to come out here every night when I want to be alone. This was the only place where I felt so.... peaceful.\" Sonic said as he laid his head on Shadows chest.\n\n\"But wait.... Sonic I thought you was afraid of water.\"\n\n\"You're right, I am afraid of the water. However at night when its calm like this, all my fears just disappear and I'm not afraid anymore.\"\n\nAfter watching the sunset, Sonic fell asleep on his lovers lap from listening to calming sea crashing its waves onto the beach. Shadow looked at the blue blur and saw how peaceful he looked sleeping. He then kissed the sleeping hedgehog on the forehead, picked him up and carried him home.\n\n'He looks so cute when he sleeps.' Shadow thought to himself.\n\nThe next morning it was 10:00 o'clock, Shadow woke up and saw that Sonic was in the bed. When he sat up, he saw that his lover was on the balcony looking out into the forest.\n\n\"Sonic?.... Are you ok?\" Shadow asked as he walked towards him standing behind.\n\n\"Oh yeah... I'm fine just... lost in thought is all?\" Sonic said as he kissed Shadow on the cheek.\n\n\"What are you thinking about?\"\n\n\"Well..... Last night while we were waiting on the sunset... The black hedgehog broke from the kiss and moved towards his lovers neck, gently biting it. "WHOA...! Hey S-sonic where are you taking me?" Shadow asked all confused.

Both Shadow and Sonic sat on top of a big rock and waited to watch the sunset. As they were waiting, Sonic noticed a family of 4 walking by. Then he started thinking about what it be like if he and Shadow had a baby. But then he started to wonder if Shadow even wants to have a child.

"Sonic, I'm really glad you brought me here. I never seen such a beautiful sight."

"I'm glad you like it. I used to come out here every night when I want to be alone. This was the only place where I felt so.... peaceful." Sonic said as he laid his head on Shadows chest.

'He looks so cute when he sleeps.' Shadow thought to himself.

The next morning it was 10:00 o'clock, Shadow woke up and saw that Sonic was in the bed. When he sat up, he saw that his lover was on the balcony looking out into the forest.

"Sonic?.... Are you ok?" Shadow asked as he walked towards him standing behind.

"Oh yeah... I'm fine just... lost in thought is all?" Sonic said as he kissed Shadow on the cheek.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Well..... Last night while we were waiting on the sunset... I saw a couple walk by... and they had their 2 kids with them."

"Yeah....."

"And I was wondering... if you want.... would you... ehem like to... have kids?" Sonic asked nervously.

"....."

For about 3 minutes there was nothing but silence between the 2 hedgehogs.

"N-nevermind... Forget I even said anything... I knew it was a bad idea from the start."

Right when Sonic was about to walk away with tears coming down his face, Shadow suddenly grabbed him and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Sh-Shadow?"

"Sonic, there is nothing I want more, than to have a child with you."

"R-really... You mean it?"

Sonic was so excited that he jumped on top of Shadow until he lost his balance and fell backwards onto the bed. Suddenly Shadow flipped Sonic over until he was on top of him. He leaned in and kissed Sonic softly on the lips. Sonic could feel Shadows tongue licking his lips just teasing him. He loved every minute of what was going on.
