Only a few days of relaxation remained until classes resumed on campus. The pair was sitting on their couch playing video games. Kory was trying very hard to catch up with Samaki's score in UFL Highlights, but the otter seemed to be resigned to the loss with seconds to go in the game and 14 points behind. \n\n``And another win for the Firebirds.'' Samaki said. And the crowd goes wild.'' As the fox made crowd cheering sounds. Kory laughed at Samaki and bopped him with a pillow. ``I'll beat you yet. You can't win all the time.''\n\nSamaki grinned at the otter. ``Maybe not all the time, but I did today.'' Kory's cell phone rang just then, the otter looked at the number, then answered. ``Hello Nick. How are you doing?''\n\n``Hi Kory.'' Said the younger otter. ``I'd like to come see you guys if you don't mind. I'm already on campus.''\n\nKory smiled. ``Of course. Do you remember where our dorm is?'' \n\n``Yeah I think so.'' Nick said. ``Right at the fountain then down the Left path?''\n\n``That's right.'' Said Kory. ``So, the Right path then?'' Asked Nick.\n\n``No no no, the Left path is correct.'' Kory said with a giggle.\n\n``OK good. I'll be at your door in a few minutes.'' Said Nick\n\n``Great see you soon.'' Said Kory as he hung up and looked at Samaki. ``Nick is here and wants to see us.''\n\n``Oh, that's awesome. I was thinking about him this week. I Wanted to make sure he was doing OK.'' Said Samaki. ``I've been worried about him since that night at the restaurant.'' \n\nA familiar knock at the door interrupted Kory's reply. He got up and opened the door and got pounced by his little brother, nearly knocking him off his paws. Nick and Kory both swished their tails happily as they hugged tightly. ``Hi Kory. Hi Samaki. I've missed you guys.'' Said Nick.\n\nSamaki got up from the couch and joined the hug. ``I've missed you too Nick. How have you been?''\n\nNick released the pair and smiled. ``I'm doing much better than last time you saw me. They caught the guy who drugged me. Turns out he did the same thing to several others in the area. He already plead guilty since they released his name in the paper. I guess he was afraid his victims would come after him.''\n\nKory smiled. ``That's great news. I'm glad they got him so quickly.'' \n\nSamaki nodded. ``I guess we'll never really know why he did it, but I'm glad he's been caught and will be punished.'' \n\nKory hugged Nick again. ``So, what brings you here?'' \n\nNick smiled and swished his tail happily. ``I came over to see your friend Jerry. He's been very helpful with listening to me vent and I've taken much of his advice already. Thanks for recommending him to me.'' \n\nKory smiled broadly. ``Jerry is a great therapist. He's going to have a successful practice once he graduates.'' \n\nSamaki nodded. ``Yeah, he did wonders helping you. I'm so happy he's helping you too Nick. I was worried about you.'' \n\nNick grinned at the fox. ``I was worried too. Jerry really helped me feel better.'' \n\nKory nodded. ``He did a great job helping me too. I was really able to talk with him about a lot of issues and get things off my chest.'' \n\nNick sat on the couch next to Samaki. ``Did they ever do anything with that Wolf?'' \n\nKory shrugged. ``I have to call the DA tomorrow. I think they are going to work out a plea deal for him.'' Samaki looked away growling. ``He deserves to get locked away for a long time.'' \n\nKory hugged Samaki from behind. ``I know hon, but he won't hurt anyone else. That's all that's important.'' \n\nSamaki nodded and kissed Kory's nose as he pulled him close on the couch. ``I don't think I would be so forgiving hon, but that's what makes you so sweet. You have the ability to see the good in people.'' \n\nKory smiled and licked the fox's nose. ``When the DA told me about his stepfather abusing him, I really felt bad for him. He had it pretty rough.'' \n\nNick looked at Kory with a puzzled look. ``What's this now? The wolf that attacked you was abused by his stepfather?'' \n\nKory nodded. ``Yeah, he was beaten and raped repeatedly by his stepfather, and no one knew. That's why he went crazy and tore off my clothes according to the psychiatrist for the court. That's what his stepfather did to him. It's really sad.'' \n\nSamaki nods. ``It's still no excuse for what he did, but I hope he gets the help he needs.'' \n\n``At least they arrested his stepfather before he could do anything else'' Kory said. ''I don't know if he has any siblings, but at least his mother can breathe a sigh of relief that she won't need to deal with someone hurting her child.'' \n\nNick looked at Samaki and Kory. ``Can I ask you guys something?'' \n\n``Of course.'' Said Samaki.\n\nNick sighed and blushed. ``Well, that night when you got me back home, you guys got to see more of me than anyone has before. I know you did what you needed to do and I'm grateful for it. I've just been worried that it's going to change how you look at me now.'' \n\nKory moved to sit next to Nick and put his arm around him. ``Nick, there's no way that we can look down on you for something like that. You did nothing wrong.'' \n\nSamaki nodded ``Yeah man. It wasn't your fault. I was upset that it happened at all.'' \n\nNick shook his head. ``It's not that. Jerry helped me see that I did nothing wrong. I am just more concerned about you guys. This is going to sound wrong I think.'' \n\nKory squeezed his little brother. ``Nick, please, tell us what's wrong.''\n\nNick sighed and sniffled as tears fell from his eyes. ``Kory, you're my brother and I love you. I know you would do anything for me regardless.'' Nick looked over at Samaki. ``But Sami, I just don't want you to think any less of me since you saw me at my weakest. Naked, fully exposed, all sticky, I don't know. I mean you guys washed all that mess out of my fur when I couldn't. I think of you like a brother, but I worry that you may have different feelings towards me now.''\n\nSamaki looked at Nick with a confused look. ``Nick, I don't know how you would think I would look at you differently. Are you afraid I'd fantasize about you?'' \n\nNick nodded slowly and let tears flow down his cheeks, prompting Samaki to hug him tightly. ``Nick, as far as I'm concerned you're my little brother too. I would never even think of doing anything to hurt you in any way. It would kill me and would hurt Kory too. I couldn't. I did what needed to be done but I took no pleasure in doing it.'' \n\nNick hugged Samaki back. ``I'm sorry Sami. I just had this nagging feeling in my head. I know in my heart you wouldn't hurt me. I just needed to get it out. I needed to hear it myself. Please forgive me.'' \n\nSamaki gave the young otter a lick on his cheek. ``You did nothing that needs forgiving. You had something traumatic happen to you and it's normal to have doubts and fears. Talking about them is what helps the most.'' \n\nKory nodded and hugged his younger brother. ``Yeah Nick. It took me several weeks to get past my fears from what happened to me. Having fears is to be expected. I'm sure Jerry told you this already too.'' Nick nodded and hugged the pair back. ``He did tell me, but he also told me I should talk about it with you guys too.'' \n\nSamaki smiled. ``I'm happy you did. I know it couldn't have been easy to do.''\n\nNick choked back his tears. ``I was scared you wouldn't look at me the same way. It was really bothering me. Thanks for not holding it against me.'' \n\nSamaki cleared his throat. ``Nick, now that you bring it up, does it bother you that you saw Kory and I having sex at the lake?'' \n\nNick looked at Samaki and then at Kory, as thoughts ran through his head. ``No, not really. I mean, I know you guys have sex and I'm OK with it, but it made me feel like I was intruding on your relationship.''\n\nSamaki nodded. `` Nick it's OK if you have any questions or concerns about it. I don't think you'd be intruding at all. You can talk with us about anything.'' \n\nNick looked at Samaki with a thoughtful look. ``Sami, I just don't know anything about being gay. I don't know what makes it good or bad. I know what people say and what they post on the internet, but that's what makes it feel kind of awkward. It might be why so many people hold ill feelings towards it also. I'm pretty sure that Malaya and Krystal were with each other at the lake, but I can't really talk with them about it, not like I can with you guys. It's really just something that's hard to understand, not having any experiences with it myself.''\n\nSamaki nodded to Nick and smiled. ``I really don't have much in the way of sexual experience, either with males or females. I really didn't know or understand much until I met Kory, and he really wasn't sure of anything himself. We grew closer to one another, things just seemed to click into place. Kory is my first true love and I'm happier now than I've ever been before.''\n\nSamaki held Kory's paw. ``I've always known I was gay, from puberty onward I've had urges and desires. Technically I'm still a virgin though, all my sexual experiences are by paw or muzzle and that's been only recent. It's different when you find a partner that you really love. \n\nKory lovingly wrapped his tail around Samaki's tail while Nick listened to the fox closely. ''You would do anything to make your partner feel good, trying new things out, and talking with one another. That's the important thing, the ability to talk about it.'' \n\nKory nodded. ``It was a learning curve to say the least, but that is true in any relationship. I'm happy that we have worked past many problems we've had to deal with, but I'm sure there will be others over time. It's just how relationships seem to work, whether it's with a male or a female. It forms the bonds you need to love someone.''\n\nNick thought hard about that, then nodded in understanding. `` I suppose that's true with any type of relationship, gay or straight. Talking things out is the most vital part of making a relationship work.''\n\nSamaki smiled at Nick. ``That's exactly right. It's more important than the physical acts of love making, it's what holds a relationship together, or can tear one apart. Kory and I love each other very much, we trust one another and would do just about anything for each other. It's just a bonus to allow each other that level of physical pleasure also.'' \n\nKory blushed a bit and nodded. ``Physical pleasure is important but emotional pleasure is what keeps the heart going. Samaki and I have spoken with each other about trying new things and we've shared our own past experiences. We both feel that what we have with one another goes well beyond anything we've had before.''\n\nKory takes Nick's paws into his own. ``Nick, I know you're still young, but you're getting to the point in your life where you may wish to find another to share your life with. It may not last, or you may find that they're not what you thought they'd be, but when you find that special someone, you'll know.''\n\nNick smiled and blushed. `` This is a bit hard to admit, but I'm still a virgin. Until that night at the restaurant I had only pawed myself when I felt the desire, and I'm not even sure I was doing it right, I just kind of went with what felt good.\n\nKory and Samaki nodded and listened to Nick intently as he continued. ``I know that my desires are geared towards females and I'm OK with that. I guess not having dad around makes things harder to figure things out, and I couldn't talk with mom about anything like this. Even talking with Malaya or Krystal about this kind of thing would just be too awkward for me. I think It'd turn my fur red from blushing so much.''\n\nKory sighed and nodded. ``Unfortunately, Dad left us when we were both young. This is something we had to learn by ourselves, we both really couldn't talk with anyone about this kind of thing. I know talking with mom was not something I wanted to do, not only because it was mom, but because of her ideals. Even talking with Father Joe was awkward, but at least he always listened and never judged.''\n\nNick sighed. ``Talking with friends is always risky, there is always a chance of being made fun of or bullied if someone else found out and talking with mom was out of the question. She'd freak out.'' \n\nSamaki smiled. ``I've been lucky that my family has always been open and honest about talking out any issues or questions I've had, even about sex. They've always been very supportive of me and allowed me to choose what makes me happy. I really wish more parents were as supportive of their children's choices. Too many parents seem to think they need to control their children's lives. '' \n\nKory looked at Nick. `` Nick, you know that you can talk with us about anything right? I may not be dad, and I may not always be right, but my heart is in the right place, and I'll always be there for you.'' \n\nSamaki nodded in agreement. ``I'll always be happy to help with anything you may need. Except for advanced Algebra, that stuff is hard.'' The three of them laughed then hugged each other tightly.\n\n``Thanks guys.'' Said Nick. ``I don't know what I'd do without you guys.''\n\nKory smiled at Nick. ``If you're feeling better now, maybe we can all get some dinner together. I can call Krystal and see if she's back on campus yet and ask her to join us.'' Samaki nodded and smiled. ``Yeah I think she'd be back on campus, her summer vacation at her parent's should be done by now.''\n\nNick got up and went in the bathroom to clean up a bit, brushing his fur out and washing his face, while Kory called Krystal to make dinner plans at a local pizza place.\n\nAfter a short walk across the campus, Kory, Nick, and Samaki approached the local pizza place, a short brick building with a colorful awning and several tables on the sidewalk, each with an equally colorful umbrella over them. Even though classes still haven't started yet, there were still plenty of students seated at most of the tables inside. Krystal stood when the trio entered the restaurant and smiled. ``Hi guys. I saved us a table.''\n\nKory and Samaki waved and walked over to the table, followed by Nick who gave Krystal a great big hug with a happy wag of his tail. ``Hi Krystal. How have you been?''\n\nKrystal returned the hug eagerly. ``I'm fine thanks. I'm glad to see you again Nick. It's been a while.''\n\nNick nodded. ``Yeah, since the trip to the lake. I wanted to thank you for that trip too. We had an amazing time there and I hope we can return sometime.'' \n\nKrystal smiled and sat down. ``I'm so glad you all enjoyed it so much. That place has always been magical in how it makes all the problems of the world melt away. The company I had was a big part of that also. It was a lot of fun.''\n\nKory blushed a bit as he remembered some of the events that happened, but still smiled. ``I honestly can't remember when I'd had a more relaxing trip anywhere. I can't even begin to thank you for inviting us.''\n\nSamaki nodded. `` Yeah, that place is great. It was amazing to be there with such good friends.'' The memory making Samaki brush his tail against Kory's and smile at the otter.\n\nA female raccoon walked up to the table with menus for everyone. Mentioned the specials and took drink orders before leaving to let the group decide on their food orders. \n\n``How about a large pizza for the table? Would that be OK for everyone?'' Kory asked.\n\n``Only if we don't get anchovies this time.'' Samaki nodded and stuck his tongue out. ``Those things are nasty.'' \n\nKory looked at the fox with mocking surprise. ``Nasty? You have no appreciation for good food sir.'' \n\nSamaki smiled and looked at Kory. `` I have plenty of appreciation for good food. Anchovies aren't good food.'' \n\nKrystal laughed. `` You guys are silly. We can get a half anchovy and half chicken pizza if that's acceptable.''\n\n``Sure, that works, and some garlic bread too.'' Said Nick as he licked his lips.\n\nThe raccoon returned with the drinks just then and took their food order, writing it down on her pad and smiling at the group before heading into the kitchen. The group chatted while waiting for their food to arrive, catching up on things and laughing about events. \n\nNick reached into his pocket. ``Oh, Krystal I almost forgot, I brought you something.'' Nick pulled out a small box and gave it to the panther while smiling. \n\nKrystal took the box and opened it, her eyes going wide seeing the contents. ``Oh my, Nick. It's beautiful. You really shouldn't have.'' Krystal pulled a necklace out of the box that had a simple silver chain and a colorful butterfly pendant hanging from it. Kory and Samaki looked at the pendant and smiled.\n\nNick smiled a wide grin. ``I wanted to get you something nice to thank you for everything you've done for me, and for Kory, and for just being a good friend.''\n\nKrystal put the necklace around her neck and admired how well it looked against her short fur. ``it's so beautiful. How did you know I liked butterflies?'' \n\nNick smiled. ``You had several books and pictures of butterflies at the cabin, I took a wild guess. When I saw this at the store I thought the colors would look amazing against your fur.''\n\nKrystal leaned over to give Nick a great big hug. ``Thank you so much.'' Krystal reached down and brought a bag up onto the table. ``I got something for you guys also.'' She reached into the bag and pulled out three boxes, handing one to each of the trio. ``It's not much but I thought it'd be something nice to have.''\n\nSamaki opened his box and smiled. ``Hey, I needed this really bad.'' The box contained some scented soap and conditioner specifically for fox fur and a large handled brush with a fox engraved into the wood. ``Oh wow, Krystal. This will help make my fur look very nice. Thank you.''\n\nKory and Nick opened their boxes and found similar contents but made for otters. The brushes had an otter engraved into it and was designed for smaller paws. Kory beamed at the gift, running his paw along the bristles of the brush, and smiling. ``This is perfect for my fur. My old brush was worn out and needed to be replaced soon. Thanks Krystal, this is a very thoughtful gift.'' \n\nNick nodded and ran the brush through his head fur. ``It's really smooth and doesn't yank your fur like my old brush does.'' Krystal smiled a very toothy grin and was very pleased. ``I hope you all enjoy them.''\n\nThe waitress returned carrying a plate of garlic bread, and a steaming hot pizza, and placed them on the table. Another waitress, a smiling ferret, followed her with plates and napkins for everyone. \n\nThe group of friends ate the food and chatted between bites, laughing, and enjoying one another's company. Soon the food was gone, and bellies were full. The bill was settled, and the group stepped outside into the warm air, walking back to the campus.\n\nKrystal looked at Nick. ``It is getting kind of late. Are you planning on going back home tonight?''\n\nNick checked his watch and pondered. `` I'm not sure. I guess I could crash on the couch and head home tomorrow.'' \n\nSamaki nodded ``You're welcome to stay. The couch isn't very comfortable for sleeping though. I could see about borrowing an air mattress. ''\n\n``I have a better idea.'' Said Krystal. ``My dorm room has two beds. Why don't you stay with me?''\n\nNick smiled ``Are you sure you don't mind?''\n\n``Of course not'' said the panther as her tail twitched happily. ``You can even run your clothes through the wash if you want. It's nice to have clean clothes for the next day.''\n\n``OK that sounds great'' Nick said smiling. ``We can all meet up in the morning for breakfast then.''\n\nSamaki grinned and swished his tail happily. ``That sounds like a great idea.''\n\nKory agreed. ``We can swim a bit in the pool too. We should have plenty of time before you have to catch your bus.''\n\nThe group headed across the campus and reached the dorms just as the sun had gone down for the night. The pathways and dorms were lit in a soft glow from the new lights that were installed over the summer, illuminating the campus in a relaxing wash of light around the buildings. Upon reaching the fountain, Kory and Samaki bid Nick and Krystal goodnight and headed down the path to their dorm, leaving the panther and young otter to head down another pathway to traverse the short distance to Krystal's dorm. \n\nKrystal opened the door to her dorm room and invited Nick in before closing the door. Nick looked around and smiled. ``This room is much bigger than Kory's. It's really nice.''\n\nKrystal smiled. ``This building is the newest one on campus. They wanted to make the rooms bigger so students could have more space. I guess cramped spaces caused more arguments.''\n\n``I could certainly see that happening.'' Said Nick. ``Kory and Samaki share a bed together, so it works out well for them. They just moved some of their furniture around to give them all the room they needed.''\n\nKrystal took some clean sheets out of the closet and handed them to Nick. ``Here you go hon, you can put these on the other bed. I didn't bother making it up since there's no one assigned to it yet. After you're done, give me your clothes so I can put them in the washer for you.''\n\nNick took the sheets and nodded. ``Sure thing''\n\nNick made the bed and made sure the sheets were neat and tidy, then flipped the blanket onto the bed, smiling at how comfortable the bed looked. He then started to take his clothes off, making sure everything was removed from his pockets first, and put them in a pile on the floor for Krystal to wash. \n\nKrystal came into the bedroom with a laundry bag of some of her own dirty clothes and added Nick's to the bag. Krystal looked at Nick and giggled. Nick, I love the little otters all over your boxers. They're so cute.''\n\nNick looked down at his boxers and laughed. ``I forgot I put these on this morning. They're one of my favorite pairs.''\n\n``Do you want me to wash them also?'' Krystal asked. ``It might be more comfortable if they were clean too.''\n\nNick blushed. `` Well yeah, but I don't have anything else to wear. I don't think it'd be proper to strut around your place in the fur.''\n\nKrystal giggled. ``I don't mind hon. I've seen you guys all naked already so there's no surprises there, but It's up to you. If you're not comfortable in just your fur I understand.''\n\nNick pondered for a few moments. ``Are you sure you don't mind?''\n\nKrystal shook her head. ``it's no problem at all.''\n\nNick smiled and blushed a bit as he hooked his paws under the waistband of his boxers, slipped them off, then handed them to Krystal with just a smile on. Krystal smiled as she looked the otter over thoroughly, making Nick's cheeks get redder.\n\n``Aww don't get embarrassed hon. It's fine. Honest.''
