"description": "When a parent suddenly shows up all of a sudden after not seeing or speaking to their own child for years can be a very stressful situation. Falicia Sterlinglost her home to a fire. A tenant on a lower floor had a mishap and caused a fire that leveled the whole apartment building. She was homeless and alone, which became a wake-up call to her. Her only family, her son Duncan Sterling has not seen nor heard from her in over 15 years.\n\nShe thought about it long and hard at the shelter on what she should do, on what to say if she does it. It's not easy and very stressful. One of the Shelter helpers noticed her in troubled thought. It was real nice to make a new friend, one who is determined to help her out, even if it means driving her to the town her son lives. \"He lives where? That's a two hour drive from where I live.\" Nubia, Falicia's new friend, said. It was settled that they will leave immediately on Nubia's motorcycle.\n\nShe was very nice and helpful. She gave Falicia enough confidence to go through with it, yet she feels selfish at the same time, because of her homeless situation. \"I just hope he'll understand.\" She thought to herself. The two stopped off at the nearest police station to search for her son. Going inside really brought back painful memories, but Falicia toughed it out until she got the information she needed.\n\nNubia drove Falicia to her final destination, but she started to get cold feet immediately in front of her son's home. \"Having second thoughts?\" Nubia asked. \"If you get cold feet now, you'll never patch things up.\" She explained.\n\nFalicia's hands started trembling with helmet in hand. \"What if.......he doesn't forgive me? What will I do? Where will I go?\" She nervously asked with great sorrow in her voice. Nubia told her to stop asking 'what if' and just do it. \"Will you wait here in case if things don't work out?\" Falicia asked. The leomon smiled and said she will wait.\n\n\"If things don't work out, you can come and stay with me. What are friends for?\" Nubia took the helmet from Falicia and watched the nervous garurumon walk slowly to the far right door of ground level apartment. She took a deep breath, then another before slowly raising her hand to knock on the door.\n\nNubia was nervous as well as she anxiously waited to see if anybody will answer the door. She saw a young renamon girl open the door in her sleep attire. The look on her face shows that she has no idea who Falicia is. Nubia hopes they have the right address. Falicia glanced at her and the renamon's gaze followed while they talked. Is she really trusting of Falicia? \"Uh oh\" Nubia mumbles to herself as Falicia walked back to her. Some good news came of the encounter. Falicia said that the girl will let her stay to talk, but her father is not home, due to his night shirt work hours. Nubia will stay the night in town and that she will be back shortly. Nubia turned in over an hour with a change of clothes and a cell phone for Falicia. I knew right then on the first date that he was the one. Yet I lost him two years after Duncan was born in the line of duty.\"\n\nIt was a sad story of love, loss, and depression. The two girls talked for four hours about what happened with her parents before Marin had to get some sleep for school the next day. She told her newly found grandmother that her father will be home probably just after day break, when Marin would have already left for school. Anxious to see his face, she rolls over to face him and got a jarring surprise. Her eyes widened at the sight of her own son asleep next to her. It really is her son and he reminds her allot of his father. It was saddening to see small tears in his eyes as he sleeps.\n\nIt was late lunch before Duncan woke to the sound of cooking and the smell of food.
