"description": "Or as we call it in the UK Zootropolis. I don't know why either.\n\nIf some of you remember I posted a journal a while back saying that I had watched an early screening of a movie. I was not allowed to talk about it because the movie was yet to be released anywhere. Well this was the movie I had watched. \n\nIn country's like the US or even the UK the movie still is yet to be released, (sucks for us in the UK because we don't get it until 25th of march) however for most of the European country's receiving this movie, it has been released.\n\nI would like to give a review, however for those who are still yet to see it, I will do my best to avoid spoilers that that give away key moments of the story.\n\nFirst I would like to address the experience within the cinema. It was porbably the weirdest experience in a screening I have ever been in. First off there were no adverts that played before the movie started. (Well except a \"kung Fu Panda spliced with sky broad band advert\") It was pleasant to just get strait to the main event. secondly it was first movie theater I had been in when the audience clapped at the end of the movie. But the main weird part of the experience was the fact that security guards stood around the theater. For the obvious reasons.\n\nI mentioned in my old journal that there was a man who played a key role in the production of the movie watching it with us. And that was \"Renato Dos Anjos\" the \"Lead Animator\" of zootopia. before the screening started I had already had a conversion with him about decisions that were made during the animation production of this movie. info I will not go into because I'm no sure if I am obliged to. however I did talk to him about other projects he had done in the past like wreck it ralph (fun fact, whenever Ralph's hand got too close to his head, they scaled the hand down so that it would not clip into his head) or even going back to when he was working with Don Bluth.\n\nBefore the movie started screening Renato had a small speech to say however I do not remember what he said so sorry if you want to know. The only thing I remember from that speech was that this is the first time he has seen the movie with an audience around him.\n\nNow I will be honest. I was actually not excited to see this movie, from the trailers I felt like I was going in to watch a movie I have seen before. I felt a lot of the plot points they showed in the trailers are moments we have seen in many other movies and are pretty much cliche's at this point. In many a way I was right. A lot of what I thought I was going to get, I got. \n\nThere was one moment I felt was way to cliched. not only that but it felt forced. Judy does something that gets Nick to react in a certain way. even though they show why he reacted they way he did, I don't know that was the way to go about it. after comes the moment when you know what is going to happen next between Judy and Nick and you just want them to get this time between these moments over with.\n\ndespite the moments that felt could have done differently, I was still pleasantly surprised by this movie, if not by its story, defiantly by its humor. This movie had me laughing a lot. I felt my sense of humor was different to everyone els's humor in the theater though. because there were a few parts that made the hole room burst out in loud laughter, when I was only laughing at a normal level. Some of the jokes they showed in the adverts for this movie I actually found myself laughing at them again, mainly because the adverts never showed them the exact same way the the movie did, so that was pleasant.\n\nThe characters as well were great to watch. and I mean all the characters (apart from one but I am not going to say which one). It was a lot of fun to be on this journy with Judy, Nick, bago, lionheart, mr. big and flash. Pretty much all characters (apart from the un-named one). There was even a lot of humor in the background. a lot of the way the animals act is hilarious. a crowd of wilder beast was one of my favorites. It was basically a joke about wilder beast crossing a river, except they were crossing a road.\n\nAfter the movie was over I spoke once again to Renato. I did not add much what I had already asked him, apart from \"how was your first experience of watching this movie with an audience?\" He was pleased. \n\nSo I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. However I still think some moments in the story could have been handled differently. Before I watched the movie, Renato showed me (and other people) a scene that did not make it into the movie, despite being fully rendered and finalized (apart from the characters clothing clipping through their fur). I'm glad that they changed that scene to what it ended up being, because it helped progress the story and give a better role to the main characters. I feel like more scenes needed that kind of polish though. Maybe they were the only ways to handle those moments, but those moments needed either more explanation there and then, or just different way to go about it.\n\neither way, still an enjoyable movie. The characters are great (apart from that one i still wont name), the humor is brilliant, and despite the story being a little familiar, I still enjoyed watching these characters go through it. so I did like this movie, and I think it worth watching.",
