", "writing": "[t][i][center][b]Trapped[/b][/center][/i][/t]\n\nIt was a bright, cheerful Saturday as Toby made his way to the public library to pick up some books for a history essay he was writing for class. He could have easily picked up what he needed from the school library; however, there was more than good grades driving his incentive to spend his weekend surrounded by a trove of dusty old books. He found out that Jay likes to hang out there on weekends. He really hoped she was there as he wanted to spend time with her under the pretense of doing classwork so she would be, more likely, accepting of his company. The vixen had been standoffish in her manner towards him, but this only spurred his interest in her as he had a thing for shy, quiet girls. He wanted to get closer to her, get to know her and then, when the time was right, ask her out and not be flatly rejected like he had seen a lot of other boys in school had.\n\nReaching the library, he made his way inside. His oldest sister Angelica helped out there on weekends and he first went straight up to her to find out where to find the books he needed. She gave him a knowing look, a grin twitching at the corners of her muzzle, and after telling him were to find the books he needed added, “If there are any other subjects you’re looking for, ‘their’ in the back in the romance section.” She then giggled at her little brother’s puzzled look before he nodded his thanks as she went back to sorting the stack of books in front of her.\n\nToby then found the books he needed, noticing the place was practically empty. He was hoping to find Jay there. Was that what his sister was hinting at… that she was in the back? But he never told her about wanting to meet up with anybody today. A cold shiver went down his back as he pondered how she knew things she shouldn’t. It was like having a second mom and he could rarely get anything past her. Then, sure enough, as he rounded a shelf of fantasy books, there in a back corner table sat Jay. She looked so pretty, her hair braided as normal, a smile playing across her lips as she silently turned a page of the book laid out in front of her. He made a mental note to thank Angel later and moved to the table and sat opposite her, setting down his books, before saying “Hi Jay,” and giving her a smile.\n\nJay was so engrossed in her book that she didn’t see the boy fox coming up to her. Her heart was racing at a particularly steamy scene between the two main characters when the sudden thud of books onto the table startled her. She instinctively closed the book and looked up at the new arrival as he greeted her. “Hi,” she muttered. Looking down to not meet his gaze she realized her mistake and quickly covered the title of the book with her hands. But not before Toby saw it. “Fox-Colored Jealousy? You know I think my sister Triela likes that book too. What’s it about?” “Ahhhh! W-what are you doing here on a Saturday Toby?” Jay said, hoping to quickly change the topic. “Oh, here to write my history essay. You know, for Mrs. Thomson’s class.” This made sense to her as she relaxed a little. “Ahhaha, oh yeah, I need to start that too. But why come here. You could have got the books you needed at school.” Now the ice was broken she was a little annoyed having her BL story time interrupted and wanted to avoid any more questions about it.\n\n“Was he blushing?” she blinked as Toby gave a chuckle rubbing the back of his head looking at the stack of books. “Yeah, but my sister works here, and she knows a lot about history and knows the best books to recommend for essays. Books are her thing.” Then he looked up and locked eyes with the vixen. “But mostly I was hoping you would be here, Jay.” There was silence for a moment as Jay stared at the boy, her heart racing again. Her cheeks grew extremely warm as the blush began to glow on her face as her brain finally caught up with her heart. It was like something right out of one of her romance novels.\n\nJay quickly looked away and Toby thought that she looked ready to cry. “Jay,” he started but she abruptly stood, nearly knocking over her chair, her tail bristling as she snatched up her book. Clutching it to her chest, she turned and practically ran from the room. Toby was so shocked at her reaction he just stood there for a moment before flopping down in a chair and looking sadly at his books. So lost in their own thoughts, neither noticed the older vixen watching them from a dark corner, a sad, understanding smile playing out across her muzzle. \n\nJay ran to the exit of the library, heart racing as she fought back the tears that threatened to fall. “That idiot. Dummy. Stupid boy. Why… Why did he have to say that” she choked as she leaned against the wall. She was so flustered that she didn’t even know where she was for a moment. Blinking away the tears that hadn’t fallen, she gave a sobbing laugh to herself.
