*Tobias: Building Bridges Again*

The warm afternoon sun poured through the windows of the Rowe household as Tobias, Martha, and Bruno sat around the coffee table. The mysterious wooden box Bruno had brought now sat open, revealing an assortment of intricate model kits. Tobias’s frustration from earlier had started to simmer as he stared at his Starfleet shuttle kit, struggling to align the pieces.

“I’m taking the Starfleet shuttle,” Tobias had declared earlier, but now his confidence was waning.

Martha, meanwhile, was working diligently on her wind-up rabbit, her floppy ears twitching as she adjusted tiny screws with precision. Bruno, calm as always, was halfway through assembling a hopping bear.

“Let’s see whose works best when we’re done,” Tobias said, a competitive edge in his voice.

“It’s not a competition,” Bruno replied with a chuckle. “These kits are tricky. Patience is the key.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Tobias muttered, fumbling with a gear.

*The Trouble Begins*

As the trio worked, Bruno occasionally stepped in to guide Tobias, showing him how to snap parts into place or align tricky sections. Martha, however, was moving steadily forward with her model, her rabbit nearly complete.

“How are you already done?” Tobias muttered, glaring at her progress. “You must be cheating.”

“I’m not cheating,” Martha replied, keeping her focus on her work. “I’m just following the instructions.”

“You think you’re so smart,” Tobias grumbled, his frustration bubbling over. Without thinking, he kicked at her chair. The sudden jolt sent Martha tumbling to the floor, her model scattering across the room.

“Tobias!” Bruno exclaimed, his calm demeanor breaking for the first time. “What’s wrong with you?”

Martha picked herself up, her face flushed with embarrassment as tears welled in her eyes. “I wasn’t even doing anything to him!” she said, her voice trembling.

*The Consequences*

Edwin, who had been working quietly at his desk nearby, stood and approached the group. His green eyes narrowed as he took in the scene—the scattered pieces, Martha’s upset expression, and Tobias’s guilty face.

“Tobias,” Edwin said, his voice calm but stern. “Explain yourself.”

“She was showing off!” Tobias said defensively, though his voice wavered.

“She was working hard, and you knocked her over because you were frustrated,” Edwin said, crossing his arms. “That behavior is unacceptable.”

Tobias swallowed hard, glancing at Bruno, who looked deeply disappointed. Edwin pointed to the cabinet. “Go get the paddle.”

Tobias’s stomach dropped. “But I didn’t mean to—”

“Go,” Edwin said firmly.

Tobias shuffled to the corner cabinet, retrieving the wooden paddle and handing it to his father with trembling hands.

“Over the couch, pants down,” Edwin instructed.

---

*The Spanking*

Tobias hesitated, glancing at Martha and Bruno, his face burning with humiliation. Slowly, he lowered his pants and leaned over the arm of the couch, his small hands gripping the cushions.

The first swat landed with a sharp *smack*, and Tobias yelped. Edwin delivered a series of firm, measured swats, each one leaving a stinging reminder of Tobias’s actions. By the fifth swat, Tobias was crying softly, his legs twitching with every strike.

When it was over, Edwin helped Tobias stand and gently pulled his pants back up. “Now, sit on the stool,” Edwin said, pointing to the hard wooden seat near the wall. “Bare bottom.”

Tobias sniffled as he lowered his pants again and gingerly sat on the stool, wincing as the hard surface pressed against his freshly spanked backside. Tears streamed down his face as he sat in silence, reflecting on his behavior.

*Reflection and Apology*

After a few minutes, Edwin called Tobias back to the center of the room. “What do you have to say to Martha?”

“I’m sorry,” Tobias said, his voice trembling. “I shouldn’t have knocked you over or messed up your work.”

Martha nodded, wiping her eyes. “I forgive you.”

“Good,” Edwin said, placing the paddle back in its place. “Now, let’s clean up the mess and get back to working together.”

*The Models Come to Life*

With tensions eased, the trio returned to their kits. Bruno helped Martha recover the pieces of her rabbit and guided her through the final steps, while Tobias worked carefully to complete his Starfleet shuttle.

When all three models were finished, they tested them in the living room. Martha’s rabbit hopped across the floor, its ears bobbing cheerfully. Bruno’s bear danced in a small circle, and Tobias’s shuttle glided smoothly across the room, its glowing panels pulsing rhythmically.

“These are awesome!” Tobias exclaimed, his earlier frustration forgotten.

“Good job, everyone,” Bruno said, grinning. “You all did great.”

As they packed up for the day, Tobias glanced at the models with a hint of regret. “So... do we have to give these back?”

Bruno chuckled. “Nope. They’re yours to keep. Consider it a gift.”

“Really?” Martha asked, her ears perking up.

“Yep,” Bruno said. “You earned it—well, mostly.” He gave Tobias a teasing smirk, and Tobias laughed sheepishly.

*A Lesson Learned*

As Bruno packed up his box and prepared to leave, he turned to Tobias and Martha. “Not a bad day after all. Just remember—teamwork makes everything better.”

“Thanks, Bruno,” Tobias said, holding up his shuttle proudly. “And... sorry for being a pain.”

Bruno smiled. “That’s what friends are for.”

As the door closed behind Bruno, Tobias turned to Edwin. “Do you think I’ll ever stop messing up?”

Edwin’s whiskers twitched in amusement. “As long as you learn something every time, Tobias, you’ll be just fine.”

Tobias nodded, his thoughts lingering on the day’s events. Mistakes might sting—literally—but the rewards of teamwork and friendship made it all worthwhile.
