For instance, when a scrying attempt leads to discovering a rare and valuable wolpertinger.\nSometimes, those surprises can be the lack of knowledge–not knowing that one’s beloved is safe after collecting a vital creature for one’s collection.\nEven more surprising can be the sudden arrival of one of the world’s greatest minds and the object of one’s devotion and affection.\nAll of these surprises happened to Jun, a kitsune so used to having things go her way that she could scream if she weren’t attempting to look like the controlled and dedicated mistress she is.\nShe could even handle getting herself locked in her portable bedroom cube, distracting her beloved flower with the tenderness of intimacy until an opportunity to escape presented itself.\nBut it seems life had another surprise in store for her. Mistress Jun finally had her Camellia alone when the bright light of the opening burned in a flash.
