A pinprick in the center sends pain shooting up from her.\n\nShe pushes her force against the feeling, her arm straining, her teeth gritted. \"Oh, no, you don't! I'm the big woman here! You bow to me, or you get flatten-aah!?\"\n\nKnuckles digs his feet into the ground, burrowing in from the force of his body pressing against the earth. His hands, however, are not idle. Instead, he punches her in a flurry with such speed that his battle cry echoes through the small cupped arena that her hand provides.\n\nWith a final, powered-up punch, he sends her hand flying back. The aura enveloping the echidna is larger and more vibrant than ever, and the burning emerald fury in his eyes is fiery.\n\nBut Rouge, despite blowing on the warmth on her palm, is undeterred. She turns her hand into a fist and pulls it back, sending it flying towards Knuckles.\n\nWhen Knuckles throws his fist toward her, he wishes upon the Master Emerald not Tikal's Prayer but his heartfelt desire. \"Grant me the power I need to protect you. To put her in her place and to make her see once and for all that stealing from me is a waste of her time!\n\nSo, when their hands clash again, he doesn't strike or knock her away this time. Instead, the seams of his gloves pop, his fingers wide and outstretching. His hand becomes so huge that he grabs her hand, holding it in place!\n\nRouge gasps, her eyes wide, trying to pull away from him, but Knuckles's strength is too much for her. She grits her teeth and pulls back, but the grip is too firm.\n\nKnuckles’ muscles bulge and tense, but they extend more than that. His biceps, triceps, and shoulders grow and expand. His pectorals emerge as vast fields of pure power, and his legs tone up.\n\nAnd he grows. He grows to match Rouge's size, and as he stands, he towers above her, squeezing her hand and twisting her arm.\n\nRouge cries but plants her feet on the ground, pushes herself up, and throws her other fist at Knuckles's face.\n\nIt's enough to strike him and to loosen his grip.
