She laments how hard it is to write through thick traveler's gloves, but it's a necessity when out on the road. She thinks for a moment about the hostess's offer and has to stop her writing for a moment. \"You can't just ask her,\" Eshere mutters to herself.\n\"Ask me what, Eshere?\"\nEshere hops from her seat, a sloshing sound among her cloak. \"N... No, just muttering to myself!\" she says, turning to face away from the server. \"Just leave everything here. Thank you. I don't need anything else.\"\n\"Oh, well, I thought I'd get you something you might actually like as well as your order. \"It's a meringue cream pie, so it has the eggs and milk but given extra sweetness. I mean… I can take it back if you want….\"\n\"N, no, that's fine. I'm… I'm sorry I'm a bit snippy with you, miss.\"\n\"Sakura,\" she says. \"That's, well, my name.\"\n\"Right. No, I'm just… thank you.\"\nSakura's eyes move from the proffered pie to the notes written on paper stained with green smudges. \"You have lovely handwriting, miss Eshere. If there's anything else you need, please let me know.\"\nEshere waits for Sakura to leave and takes a quick glance over to the other table. They left. Sighing, she lifts the pie up in a gloved hand and pulls down the mask of her cloak, shoving the whole thing under her hood. It disappears inside, and she shudders.\nOf course, it was at that moment that Sakura turned to check on her customer.
