After being sent below for her rage-filled attack and self-inflicted shotgun goodbye, Mrs. Mayberry hired a group of imps to deal with the southern bitch that ruined her marraige and her life. The disturbing background behind the so-called "hero" was indeed that, disturbing, which made the job worth it.
Money was paid, laughs were made, and she went back home with the hopes of moving on. Except it was hard to.
She felt more alone than ever since her husband cheated on her and there doesn't seem to be anyone she knew long enough to form a new relationship with.
Then, near one alley, a shady demon offered her a little trinket for dirt cheap. No catches, no strings, just a small monetary deal with a metaphorical and literal devil. The only thing they said was that she can have some self-discovery with this strange jewel.
When she returned home, she started at the jewel for a few minutes until a violet glow brightened the room as it floated over her hands. When the light show was over, nothing else happened. She sighed in believing she had just been scammed, despite the low low price.
She then heard a shuffling in her living room as if someone was there.
Before she could find something solid and heavy to use as a weapon, she was pounced hard to the floor and, after gaining her senses, she identified the unexpected intruder: herself.
