character that has a medium sized yet stable fan base from a old 90s show that may or may not have some impact to furries in general.\nWhen it comes down to all the cartoons shows that Disney produced in their \"Disney Afternoon\" line up or \"Disney Time\" as it was called here in Sweden before it was changed to \"The Disney Club\", [i]Aladdin[/i] was one of those shows that could have been better. \nDon't get me wrong, the show was decent enough to entertain me (trust me, there were some really bad shows they made at the time) with the idea with Aladdin going up against mythological creatures and deities from Arabic mythologies and other folklore from surrounding countries that Agrabah was taking place at. The problem was that to me personally the main characters always had this single note for every situation, even at the most dire ones. \nWhere there were some episodes that were pretty epic and whatnot, most just relied on either luck, deus ex machina or something similar like that. The recurring villains like Mozenrath, Abis Mal, Mechanicles, Ayam Aghoul and Arbutus (although the last one was only featured in one episode, I just thought that he was a cool tragic villain in one of the more better episodes) were pretty decent but they just weren't memorable enough. Hell, I had to look up the list of villains online to check what they were called. Just saying, the villains in [i]Darkwing Duck[/i] and [i]Kim Possible[/i] were more memorable and I didn't even like Kim Possible to begin with. \nNow Mirage on the other is a villain that could have been one of the best villains in the show but sadly she only get the \"okay\" treatment from my part. I partly blame myself for not watching every episodes and that the Swedish Television aired the episodes in weird order but in any case, I think that the first time I saw Mirage was in the episode \"When Chaos Comes Calling\" where she was confronted by Chaos, the trickster god voiced by Matt Frewer who I actually liked more since I have been a sucker for those gods who plays games with main characters just for laughs. Anyway, I had thought that Mirage was this goddess of evil since she was first seen causing a shipwreck that would eventually cause war between nations but when I saw Mirage again in a future episodes, things got disappointing since it would turn out that she was a enchantress who got the tastes for evil magic and a sorcerer with almost godlike magic powers. Plus she being owned by Chaos in the very first episode I first saw her, not the best impression of things. \nI was thinking \"Why couldn't she have been a real god or something? That would be awesome if Aladdin would go up against gods\" and yes, I am fully aware of the crossover with Disney's Hercules but that is different. \nBut needless to say, Mirage did become a more memorable character for others because that she was a furry, well to my impression anyway. No I am not saying that it is the only reason, but I do say that it is sad that she didn't remain as a goddess in the show like I thought she was. But I guess that most fans saw her in her true essence in earlier episodes and became fans .
