domain, keeping themselves plainly in sight but because they didn't move they were able to escape detection from Aran. Meanwhile, the dragon was still grumbling about how sucky his job was, that he found this task incredibly boring, and wished he could at least have gone on lunch break before having to do this. it was this extra time with nothing happening that was making him more and more complacent and focusing less on the fact that there was some slight rustling behind him. That and the fact there was an artificial breeze blowing through the room the entire time, which masked the additional noises one of the plants was making. It was a big, purple bulb-like body surrounded by a ring of green leaves and attached to an equally green and flexible stalk that rose up behind the dragon. It swayed almost hypnotically back and forth while a small stream of purplish latex 'sap' drooled from its petals and the whole time Aran was completely preoccupied with looking at a lesser, benign plant in his hand.\n\n\"[color=#cc0000]Hmmmmmmmm, looks different enough from the rest.[/color]\" he said, furrowing his brow a bit while rolling the small peach-colored flow between his fingers. \"[color=#cc0000]Guess this is what Endium was looking for...wish he would've told me what he wanted. ...Wonder what kind of lunch is being served at the cafeteria today as well...?[/color]\"\n\nWith the dragon not even bothering to look back and its sap pooled up sufficiently the plant took that moment to strike. The purple petals opened up just a bit at the tip, the bulb reared back, and fired a large blast of the sticky material right at Aran's back. The sudden impact jolted the drake to attention and made him scream in surprise as the sap started to coat his wings and drip down his back...this wasn't exactly what he had in mind for collecting plant specimens! Even so, he had little time to complain as he turned and saw the dribbling, swaying bulb firing another blast of sap at him, this one aimed lower at his legs and struck true near his thighs. He wasn't tangled up enough just yet though, and managed to side-step a third blast aimed once again at his legs, though he didn't see a second plant rising up behind him nor a third one just off to his left. He was now their sole target and already they had scored a few hits on him as they all prepared for another volley.\n\n\"[color=#cc0000]Gah! What the hell is this?! He took a few more steps to try and dodge more sap barrages but with it being three against one and the drake already hindered a bit with movement...the odds weren't in his favor. Another two shots hit their mark on his tail and lower portions of his legs, nearly making him trip, but he caught his balance just in time for another glob to stick to both of his feet.\n\n\"[color=#cc0000]Grrrrrrrr...grrrrrrrr! The drake howled out in frustration as he found himself stuck to the ground, unable to move from his current location and still the bulbs continued raining latex down on him. His arms and hands were soon just as layered over as his legs, his wings all but folded up and glued in place from the weight and stickiness of the sap, and his torso from the neck on downward was soon a shiny purple color. It was only after his adrenaline rush died down that Aran was able to take stock of his current situation and the twinges of panic began to set in.
